A difficult time for a review at the Covid-19 issue. The staff all have gone above and beyond to keep us safe. I'm sure that no other place could be better. They are providing activities for getting together/visiting family, etc.

I think the community has done a very good job keeping us safe during the pandemic. I'm quite satisfied living here. In ordinary times there are enough classes and entertainment to keep one occupied. The food is consumable, overall, quite good, but certainly not exceptional. The staff here has been helpful during this pandemic period and the young helpers have really excelled.

Thought the window chat was great, but with [name removed] in a wheelchair, it's impossible for her to go very far outside because the cashier didn't have footrests. It is possible to get some chairs with footrests. [name removed] legs are not very strong.

We chose Brookdale Northbrook because of the location and my dad needed an extra level of care that they were able to provide. Their apartment here is adequate for their needs. They do think that the food could use some improvement. The facility seems to be very cognizant and safe during covid, they are doing a lot of cleaning and being smart about it which is great. Overall I would recommend the community.

Well run. Many activities. Interesting people. Specials: gym (and gym leader), special lectures, etc at Oakdale. Lunches and talks.

I have lived at the Sheridan for four years, and I am very satisfied here. I intend to spend the rest of my life here.

I have been very happy here - (2 years) I have made many friends, left home due to illness, but this is a part of life. It has been hard to have to be "locked in" (very necessary for our well-being). but miss my family here and in New York, especially my 5 "greats"- no more hugs. The staff here is wonderful - people you can go to with problems - I would never find a better place!

We really liked the variety of activities this community had to offer, for example they have water aerobics. However, due to COVID there are currently no activities. The rooms are great, they entire layout just makes sense everything is easily accessible. The food could use a little improvement.

The physical building is comfortable and attractive and kept in good condition. The employees for the most part are very pleasant and accommodating. The activities are minimal, could be more interesting. My one complaint is the food. It is terrible and overcooked, mushy, fresh veggie, and fruit old and not tasteless. No one in this building will do anything about it.

The Residence at Bethel Park didn't really have care services for the residents, but what i can say is your allowed to hire outside services to come take care of your loved ones within the community, and they don't charge your extra for that. They have a good amount of activities, they take them to lunch, Walmart once a week, bingo, they have exercising twice a day. Every Friday night they have wine and beer. The bus services they have is amazing. They are very accommodating to the residents. This community is so up to date, it doesn't look like a nursing home. The price is very reasonable.

Heritage oaks brings in entertainment to sing to the residents, they would play the guitar and piano a couple times a week. Every holiday period they had a party/formal event. There would be food, and punch. For New Years Eve they would drop balloons from the ceiling. They have Wii bowling, exercise classes, and an arts and crafts room. Occasional movie nights. The rooms they have there are nice, some had large bedrooms and living rooms with large closets. It is a little expensive, but a great value. Dining room is always open to the residents and their families. They had a salad bar, the food could of used some improvements, but plenty of food provided all day long.

The food is the biggest complaint, they have good portions but the quality of the food is not good. It is pretty expensive, this facility was brand new when we went to look at it. The manager does a great job, she is very attentive. They do provide a one bedroom and two bedroom, they are very adequate size. The bathrooms are pretty big. They do give the residents refrigerators but they are dorm size so pretty small. We would recommend this to a family or friend.

The Shores is hard to get a hold of to let me know how my grandmother is. I can check on my grandmother during business hours, it is after hours that is hard to get a hold. The low numbers are low for COVID, but they won't let her go outside. I had to ask for the rent to be lower, ins They aren't allowing my grandmother to go to dining room. She is also coupe up due to COVID-19. I feel like the residents are felling like prisoners due to no activities.

The staff is very amazing. They have very good people working there. They raised the prices quite a bit on the levels of care after we moved in. They have a problem with bed bugs and they asked me to replaced the furniture, but we worked it out and they wound up replaced the furniture. We chose this community because when we visited we liked the staff.

The staff has worked very hard to keep us safe. No one here has tested positive. In light of the pandemic, this community has kept us safe while providing meals and activities.

They definitely are not for someone that needs a high level of care or skilled nursing care. The caregivers wanted her to be more independent than she was capable of doing. They were several things we paid extra for and do not believe they were being done as expected, including dog walking and daily trash pick up. At the time, we chose this community because is was beautiful, they has a two bedroom apartment available, it was close to our family, and the food was delicious.

My husband is very happy here. I don't think they pay quite enough attention to the residents to brush their teeth. The staff is very friendly. I think they do care for the residents, which is a plus, and the care givers are very kind. I wouldn't want to take my husband out of here. From what I know, I think they are providing adequate activities. I think it is a little expensive, but the level of care is very good. The transportation accommodations could be slightly better. Overall we are very satisfied.

I really enjoy living here. The staff go out of their way to satisfy our needs. I have made good friends and keep busy with activities.

I lived in Northbrook for many years. So very nice.

I have lived in this community 3 years and have been very happy. Meals are good and service is kind. Thank you for keeping the good work up.
