Glen Park

Our experience with this community during our tour was excellent. The staff was all very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of important information and details about the services they provided. I would recommend this place to any family member or friend in need of assisted living.

This gated property is very beautiful and well taken care of. The dinning room experience has been pleasant as well as the delicious meals they provide for my loved one. The nursing care team has made my mother feel very comfortable and safe in her new living environment. I would recommend that they clean the bedrooms more often the smell in there is sometimes disturbing.

The Glen Park West is a small community owned by a family. The people are really friendly there. At the moment my loved one has been enjoying the meals. The meals are full meals with dessert at the end. I feel like the community is keeping them safe. I have no complaints about the cleanliness so far it has been clean. There are service dogs in the community that are loose around if residents want to pet them.

It was a good experience for me and it worked out fine for the time we needed them. The meals seemed to be okay and they do offer activities. My mom felt they slowed down her recovery and she did not feel safe enough to walk around in her walker. We also struggled with the medication plan and that was frustrating. Overall, I think the environment was fine at the staff are attentive.

Everything is working out very well for my mother here. They provide excellent care. The community looks great. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are nice activities and good food. So far we are pleased with everything they have done for us.

I do not think that they can improve on what they are doing. The only issue is that the dementia and memory-care patients are mixed in with everyone else, so even If you do not have that, you are still with them.

This facility has a very professional and efficient staff. The building is always clean and well kept. Everyone here down to the maintenance staff is always helpful and friendly. So far, the overall experience has been great.

They do seem a bit understaffed. I go there every day to make sure things are getting done and sometimes I find that they do not have very many workers there for the work that needs to be done. Overall though it has been a good experience. The people that are there seem to be very happy. Things are good overall and continually getting better.

The Glen Park West was very open air and everyone was very friendly. More people about. Rooms nice. Charlotte said it takes five to six months for Medi cal to set in. Charlotte also said mom could move in and we could pay the difference until it kicked in. My sister said she'd help out but I need to text her.

I believe Brenda gave me a very brief tour of the facility. I do like the fact that they will prepare vegetarian meals and they only serve alkaline water from a Kangen machine. I've had one for five years.

Nice bright and friendly atmosphere. Well maintained, clean and residents seemed happy. Lots of activity and varying levels of care. Several outdoor patios for the residents and guests to enjoy.

Glen Park West is fine. They are a good community. They seem to be taking care of our loved one just fine. The people are nice and they maintain a clean community. So far we have been pleased with them and haven't had any complaints.

The staff is very friendly with the exception of the new director; she is very rude and has crossed the line when talking to my family on more than one occasion. They do have some nice activities like movies and exercise classes but a little more variety would be nice. The outdoor commons area has plenty of chairs, tables and umbrellas for the residents to sit and relax. They also seem to be a bit short staffed they have long wait times when you need assistance which is a problem. My parents room is upstairs and the indoor commons is downstairs they have no bathroom for the residents down stairs they have to use the bathroom in their room, so when my parent needs to use the bathroom they have to go all the way up stairs.

He loved the convenience and facility in general. Glendale may be too 'hot' a location for M. She is used to ocean breezes.

Park next door. Not ideal neighborhood. Clean, lots of indoor walking area, big multi-purpose room, good activity director. Front door unlocked at times, someone at reception desk with cameras, yard not ideal but lots of indoor walking room.

For an "institutional" type place specializing in dementia and alzheimer's patients, I found them to be very good. I still think my mom will do better in a smaller (6 patients) home setting though. But I feel these guys know what they're doing and were very clean, attentive, caring, etc. It's a family owned place.

I have been a resident of Glen Park at Valley Village for more than 8 years and I can say this assisted living facility has been a life saver. From help with daily household duties, medication dispensing, etc. the assistance is tremendous. If you are seeking assisted living or other services provided I strongly urge you to take a look at this facility.

My dear friend seems to be really like the atmosphere at this community . She has had no complaints about the food and the staff do a good job at keeping her engaged in as many activities as she can do. The property has a great layout and lots of great amenities for all of the residents. Overall I am very happy with how everything is going so far.

This community was clean and very spacious. The staff was very patient with residents and exhibited a truly caring spirit. This is an active community. Residents all seemed content. Mixed with those needing some care with memory loss. This is a privately owned assisted living and they offer a full continuum of care so families can depend on this company meeting every care need as needed. There is parking in the back of the building but you might miss the turn in if you don;t slow down. Looks like the all inclusive care package is easy to budget for because they do not nickle and dime you.
