All of the staff members are really good and super helpful. Our loved one does not really participate in the social activities but he really enjoys going down to listen to the live music entertainment. We do think the residents sometimes get a little to much sugar.

We really liked the community. The rooms were smaller than another community we saw.

We have been very impressed with the care services so far, however there could be some improvements. The meals and dining service could be better it is not the best, and it seems like the activities are pretty repetitive so they could offer more of a variety. Also they could improve on their internal organization especially when it comes to the laundry service, our loved one has had things go missing and the house keeping.

It was a good tour at Somerset. The staff were very helpful, and the key people made themselves immediately available to meet with. It had a very nice community dining room area. I noticed while we were there that the care staff seemed to have a frenzied pace. There were a lot of triage incidents and staff moving from once space to another juggling needs. I'm not sure if it’s like that all the time. I also saw that at other places we toured. Somerset has a religious connection, although it doesn't appear to be pervasive among most day-to-day things. But it affects some things administratively - for instance, they don’t serve pork products.

We really liked Cherrywood Village but they had a very long waiting list and we needed something immediately.

It's only been a week but so far Carmel Village seems like a great fit for our family. Very caring staff.

I like the staff and [name removed] was great and wonderful host. I was impressed with the decor and that classic car was cool. The place is a very secured building but doesn't feel like a jail. The bedroom was a good size and the yard wasn't too big. They do go on field trips which my dad would love.

My mom is getting good care now in this community. I am happy I moved her here. There are lots of activities there when she feels like joining in. Everything stays nice and clean. There is a nice well-maintained courtyard area. The food is good although mom doesn't eat much.

My mother is doing well in the memory care portion of this community. I do feel comfortable with the care she is receiving. The staff is good. They are kind, and helpful when needed. They are taking good care of my mother, and her needs.

I have no complaints of how things are going for my loved one since she made the move into this community. I have to say my favorite thing about this place is the people and how amazing they have been to my mother. She is happy with her new living environment and feels safe which is most important to me. The meals are excellent as well as the activity program they have for the residents throughout the day. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone interested.

Visited Carmel Village on August 9, 2017. Met with [Removed], one of the marketing directors. Our conversation was informative, and she answered all my questions and concerns. Had an excellent tour of the village.

OK, nice place but not our first choice.

When I was searching for a good place for my father, I toured Paradise Village. It was a good tour but it was not my favorite. The tour guide was friendly and helpful towards any questions that I had.

I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community. Everyone was very friendly and made sure to take there time with my loved one and I during our visit. The building was very clean and had a lot of great amenities available to all of the residents. It was just not the right fit for my father in the end decision.

This looked like a nice community when I toured it. The only issues I had with with this community were the size of the rooms in the dementia unit and the cost is really high. The rooms reminded me of a college dorm. The staff I met were nice and they offered daily activities.

The Somerset Lodge felt more like a hotel. The apartments just had a small kitchen and all 3 meals were provided as a part of the monthly rate. We were looking for something a little bit more independent with the freedom to chose meals and a full kitchen. Also, my mother felt that it was catered more to the ones who were less active. It was a nice community with nice people, but not what we were looking for.

I like how friendly everyone is here at the Brookdale Sunrise Creek. The place is very clean and they have a good variety of activities. I really like going to bingo nights. The food, on most days, is very good.
