It's a little bit bigger of a place. The place is so big that I could walk down an entire hallway without running into a person. I call them blocks because they're really long. The rooms there were three times, maybe four times, as big as another place we looked at. My mom's just got a small room there. It's a studio and I think they said it was 16x22 so we were able to fit her double bed, a couch, a couple of dressers, and she has a little mini kitchen that she doesn't have to share. It's much more spacious. There is just one issue. She's been there a month and half and they still do not have her front door fixed. People, other residents, just walk into her room because the door does not lock even though it's supposed to. I'm not happy with the security level there is the main issue. The people that work there are just wonderful, very courteous.

I would recommend it, my parents have reacquainted with some friends that they had worked with 30 years ago. They have several activities that keep them busy and they get exercise not even knowing it.

From what I see there is a shortage of staff, so the current staff is really stretched thin. Food is adequate for the most part. Good for independent, not so much for assisted.

The main feedback we have is that it is overall a nice place but since it has been managed by Gardant some of the services have gone down. Food is not very good and they always seem to be short staffed we feel because they are trying to reduce cost. Cost has gone up each year with this year being around 6% increase.

It started out great, would have given it a 5 at the beginning. However, when they changed management, we noticed a change in the quality. Little things like they had a problem. Keeping the person that's supposed to be the chauffeur to take people to doctor appointments. They also used to bring the residents their breakfast to their room and leave it on a tray .Now they don't do that. All the residents must go down to the dining room. Also, the residents are not allowed to seat themselves. Anymore, they are now seated by someone. And they seem to have a sign seating, regardless of whether or not you like who you're sitting with. And while I can't say I've seen it in action, the gentleman that I was instrumental in moving there has been more than unhappy with some of the staff. He's found that they help themselves through his dresser on his shower days even though he has told them he will get his own clothes.

Check out other facilities and compare before making any decisions you may find a more suitable place. Very expensive and food is not that great

Getting in/sales was a good experience; however, there was no orientation and settling in has been difficult to navigate; the cost is high: facilities are nice but food is institutional, service isn't always consistent; the price has increased in the 6 months we've been there.

Staff is great, food is ok, activities were good, room size was ample.

These responses are pretty brutal that doesn't mean I wouldn't recommend them there was a lot of people transitioning while Mom was there too many aids working double shifts. But everyone had their heart in the right place and were working towards a better solution. I very seldom give 10 out of 10 because I always think there's room for improvement even for me I'm a 7-

When we toured Bardwell we were struck by the kind staff, the size of the apartments, and the cleanliness. Unfortunately, they have had continuous turn over of Administration, and have lost some wonderful staff members. While without administration, we dealt with the management company. It became very clear that they are more interested in the money than providing the best care to residents. Several staff members are lovely, caring people who have provided wonderful care, however, understaffing leads to lack of care, especially on the weekends. Some specific examples of problems have been lack of sending up a meal tray, if resident doesn't go down to the dining room, after asking for this to be done. Asking for medication refills with only 1 week notice. Leaving a voice message in an unidentified voice message box and not receiving a call back in more than one day. Pulling the emergency cord in apartment bathroom with no response for 20 minutes on a weekend.

Just like most facilities, they are understaffed. The cleanliness of the facility definitely could be better, but I blame that on lack of staffing as well. The bathroom accommodations I believe are probably the worst part. They lack in every way. The size of the rooms specifically my mother's is only 70 ft.². It's hard to sit in there with her when it is such a small room very little of her own belongings can fit to make her feel at home and it was a difficult adjustment for the price. It was the most affordable. It is not terrible. I feel when I leave her. She is safe,However; I know things could always be better. I hope that helps.

Biggest problem is understaffed. Definitely need a quicker response to questions. Experience for me was devastating. No car no stove. I don't go to dining room because food and service poor.

KEEP SAKE IS TOO SHORT ON STAFF, CLOTHES AND PERSONAL ITEMS ARE SOMETIMES GIVEN TO THE WRONG PATIENT. NOT ENOUGH STAFF TO FULLY TAKE CARE OF EACH PATIENT AS THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF. I'M THANKFUL FOR WHAT THEY DO, BUT I FEEL LIKE MY DAD WOULDN'T BE WITH US IF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR MY MOM BEING OUT THERE EVER DAY SEEING THINGS WERE DONE LIKE KEEP SAKE THEY WOULD BE.

The first week was a rough one. Between moving in my loved one and the filthy condition of her apartment upon first arrival, it wasn’t the smoothest transition. The situation was never rectified and we did not receive support from management, however the nurses on the floor and front desk staff are exceptionally kind, friendly and do an amazing job. The activities and marketing directors are awesome. At this time my loved one has settled in and seems to be enjoying herself but it was an extremely rough start that could’ve been avoided or immediately rectified, but wasn’t.

[name removed] needed far more assistance than Gull Creek was capable of delivering. She was assessed, but she needed assistance in eating, dressing, she was incontinent, and always anxious. On several occasions, I found her asleep in the chair in the hallway, or needing changing. The staff was caring, but the evening staff seemed young and inattentive. My wife was there for less than 2 months. She fell 3 times in 24 hours and I was not informed. She then Went to hospice and passed away less than 2 weeks later.

For the most part I like the caregivers and nurses. I don't like that they increase the care level but still won't provide a 2 person assist.

Yes, it takes them a while to answer the buzzer when people aren't in the front to open the door to get into the facility. This after 8:00pm. I think they get notified via pager or something like that. That could be improved. But this has happened to me before 8:00pm where no one is at the front desk and I stood there 15-30 minutes waiting for someone to buzz me in. This happens when I try to call my dad and can't hear his phone because he's watching a blaring television because he lost most of his hearing. I try to make sure my dad knows I'm stop by and to meet me at the door so I'm not waiting. I think Covid hurt facilities like this where it's hard to find people to stay at a job like this to work the front desk. So I understand there situation. From what I've seen it is a good place.

What they could improve on would be communication with guardians and follow-up on promises made to adjust care plan.

There are some areas of improvements, but the staff members are friendly
