I toured 3 Memory Care units in Longview & have seen 2 others in the past. I chose Heartis for my mother because: 1) It consists of a single straight hall leading to either the dining/recreation area or a garden, so she can't get lost & doesn't have to walk far to get to either place (a concern because she has bad lungs); 2) it is bright & cheery with high ceilings & big ( by nursing home standards) windows - great for someone prone to depression; 3) the staff members are very friendly, nurturing, & patient. I see my mother every day & have been reassured by how involved they are with their charges - always looking for ways to help without being asked, checking on them when they choose to stay in their rooms, & responding very quickly when any alarm goes off. My mother has only been there one month & cannot remember any names, but she already clearly trusts them & is willing to cooperate with them. Both of us also like that her room looks out at woods.

Mother is 98 years young and still thriving! When we first visited Inspired Living we were impressed with the beauty of the community and how warm and welcoming everyone was. Sunday dinners are always a special time with our mother and we can have a meal with her at any other time we want as well. Inspired Living has the right staff in place with care partners who are very caring and work hard to attend to the residents’ needs. The staff is approachable and accessible. We have open and honest communication because they listened to us. The activities are exceptional, so creative, and mother really enjoys the painting projects and tea time. We also like the spacious screened in porches. They provide her the opportunity to be outside for fresh air and the design keeps them cool in the hot Texas weather. Mother is getting more social and initiating more conversations due to the interaction during activities. Because the doors leading to the courtyard in the memory care commuenity are unlocked, we loved the freedom our mother would enjoy being able to go in and outdoors all day as she desired. Due to the state of the art technology, we knew she could do this safely. That was a huge selling point for us. Finally, the monthly memory care support groups have been very beneficial. They have helped us feel comfortable to share the trials and tribulations of living with a loved one with dementia. It has also helped us to connect with those within the community as well as those that still have their loved one at home who will become part of the Inspired Living family in the future.

This has got to be the best memory care facility out there. [Name removed] and her staff really know how to care for the residents. They truly are caring and nurturing. I see how they interact with the residents when "no one is looking" and it just warms my heart to know my dad is receiving the same attention when we're not there. The entire staff is filled with angels.

Been resident for five years. Great place. Assisted and Independent Living. Beautiful grounds with a walking path by a beautiful creek. Lots of amenities. Always something to do. Transportation to and from doctor's appointments. Grocery shopping and other great outings. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is great. Love apartment with great view from balcony.

I cannot tell you how deeply grateful my wife and I are for the care my 96 year old mother-in-law has received at Catalina Springs. All that you do has has a huge impact on our family. As her care level exceeded what we were able to provide for her, it is a tremendous relief to know that she is in such competent and caring hands. The atmosphere in your facility is uplifting and positive and the facility is always well kept and clean. The regular ongoing activities are appropriate, enjoyable and stimulating. Although, failing in health, my mother-in-law is happy and sees her caregivers as her close friends. Please accept our heartfelt thanks. [Names removed]

Mother enjoyed the tour and the extra space of a full, one bedroom. Activities seemed plentiful, and her favorite so far.

Amazing! The Inn of Los Patios has it all. Each apartment has its own patio, there is entertainment and educational activities, fantastic food, residents from all over the U.S. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My wife and I have lived here for the last five months. The facilities here are great. The grounds here are pretty with lots and lots of trees. I walk the paths here at least once a day and I get a great deal of pleasure by doing it. The food here is good and the chef will at best list to what you have to say.

This is my second time in Assisted Living at Los Patios. They did such a good job the first time I moved myself to Independent Living. Bad decision, so I came back to Assisted Living. They have taken such good care of me. My medications are on track. They provide comfortable living quarters, cleaning and laundry service and I get 3 meals a day. We have a variety of exercise classes and activities. We are surrounded by the nicest and most caring group of people and it's all covered by your rent. Of course there are minor problems that are quickly attended to by the staff.

I am a hospice RN who has had the opportunity to work with the great team at Canyon Valley. They show love and compassion for all of their residents. Working with them is an extension of my team with everyone wanting the best possible for residents. Communication, help, knowledge and caring makes them all a great group!

My mom has lived at Los Patios for about a year. She has enjoyed living here since the first day. The activities are more than what she participates in, but thoroughly enjoys sever of them. Her social life is better than it has been in years - she has developed many cherished friendships. We have found the staff to be very responsive and kind. As with anything, we pray Los Patios will continue to be affordable for her because eben at 83 years old, Los Patios is truly home.

Very clean, organized, managed, compassionate, professional property. The Director to the Care Givers and staff always impress us and make us feel so grateful for them. We recommend this property to any new residents in need for memory care assisted living.

My mother has been residing at Catalina Springs for almost 2 years now and overall I have been very pleased with the care and attention she's received. The staff are kind and friendly and attentive (given the number of staff relative to residents) to my mother's needs. I especially appreciate the added activities and events CS holds.

My wife was in the memory. Care section for a short time before her death. My regret is that we did not go to Heartis in the beginning. The staff handled a very difficult situation with love and respect. She received excellent care. [name removed] did everything she could for [name removed]. [name removed] had Lewy Body Dementia which is very difficult to control. I highly recommend Heartis to anyone when the time arrives for a facility. The staff kept me informed the entire time and would call if I was needed to help [name removed]. Outstanding staff and facility with exceptional food for the residents.

This community is one of the best I have seen. The staff members are compassionate and the community is clean and bright; it just feels ALIVE. The residents were visiting with each other and smiling, talking, just like neighbors do. I was mostly impressed with the Montessori program. The residents seem to lead full and happy lives.

My mom was at Pine Ridge just over a year and i couldn’t have asked for better facility to have her in. The staff were always looking out for my mom plus all the other tenants. There were always things for her to do to keep her busy and engaged. The facility was always clean, i don’t remember a time of any smells as some of the other facilities we looked at. The food was fantastic we ate with her many times and never had a bad meal. The staff was always friendly to my wife and I as well as my kids. I know mom would get a little unruly at times and the staff always handled her with care and dignity. She had her nails and hair done at Pine Ridge which is a really convenient and reasonably priced. They showered her very regularly and cleaned her clothes which is a great service. In my moms last days the staff went above and beyond to tend to moms needs as well as the whole families needs. The price they charge monthly was lower than a lot of facilities in the Spokane area . As far as our family is concerned this is by far the best facility and staff in the Spokane area for anyone who needs this type of care. I highly recommend Pine Ridge Memory care for your loved ones.

Thought it was way too expensive but unless Mom is evaluated at the top level and stays there a long time, it will actually be the cheapest. It was bright, clean and very attractive. There were lots of residents out in the common rooms and halls and all of them seemed happy and engaged. I was impressed. OHT is at the top of our list.

Excellent facility and staff!

I so appreciate the staff at Calloway Gardens. My husband has been difficult but they work with the doctors to provide him with excellent care.

I have lived in this community since [date removed]. Until recently my husband lived with me in a pleasant, large independent living apartment. Now I live in a small independent living apartment, my husband has been relocated to assisted living in the same community. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are very considerate, kind and pleasant in dealing with our aging needs and problems. This is home, and hopefully we can live out our lives here.
