Does the staff know the residents by their name as they see them in the halls as they show them around. Are the grounds maintained, and carpets steamed cleaned routinely.

Beautiful and luxurious facility. I felt like I was walking around in a maze. Views from balconies was not appealing.

One of the higher priced communities, but it also was the one we liked the best of the three we've toured.

Franklin Park Boerne is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Right from the start when we explained the needs of our loved one they let us know they specialize in memory care and they would work with her needs. The staff members are very friendly and accommodating. They have gone above and beyond in taking care of her. They are very easy to communicate and respond quickly to any questions or concerns that I may have regarding our loved ones care. They keep us well informed. I have dined with my loved ones several times and the meals are excellent. They provide a menu to select the meals that you want. The dining staff has already noticed my mom does not like the crust on her sandwiches, and now they bring her sandwiches out without the crust. They take the time to personally know each resident. They provide activities for the residents and encourage them to participate. It is a brand new facility so there are not a whole lot of residents to participate yet. My dad has recently moved into my mom's beautiful apartment. There is a beautiful courtyard for them to go out and enjoy the fresh air. It is a great safe place and we know we have made the right choice. I would absolutely recommend this community to others.

This community was nice however they just started accepting memory care residents at the beginning of the year. The community was nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful on the tour. However the I was not impressed with the floor plan. The community was very clean and well cared for.

I have no complaints of how things are going for my loved one since she has made the move into this community. The staff have been kind and I am comfortable with the care she is being provided. The property has been clean every time I go and visit and she seems to be adjusted well. The menu selection has been fine and they have a great activity program.

Great Tour of this facility. The staff was very kind, and helpful. The community looked great, they do a good job with the cleanliness. Everything went well for the most part. I just did get the feeling that this was the community for my mother, and her needs.

The property was nicely maintained and had a lot of great amenities available to offer all of the residents. Overall we where pleased with the experience it was just not the right place for my mother

I toured this community and I lliked the staff. My brother did not need this type of care.It felt like a hotel and not a comfortable . feeling. If this is the care that is needed it might be a good community. The meals seemed to be appealing by the variety. Families might look into options for the care here for a loved one.

Currently this community is going through changes and improving the quality. The staff are nice, attentive and able to keep the community clean and all good. Although my dad isn't interested in activities the staff are very interactive with him. The food could be better but they are transitioning into a new cook. For the most part its been good and we are just waiting for the improvements and I believe I would recommend this place.

A little more expensive than our other top choice, but still very comparable. Our decision came down to the layout of the community. The apartments were way in the back compared to where the dining room and activities were. It was also a larger community than the one we chose.

The Avenue Of Park Forrest is a great place to place some one you care about, it's a friendly staffed environment, it's a clean environment, the food is great. Someone is always there to answer questions, if you have one. It's updated and has been remodeled. I'm grateful A Place For Mom referred me to The Avenues Of Park Forrest, it's also in a great location.

I toured at Franklin Park, and I found the community to be extremely nice. I really liked it and thought it would be a good fit for us. However, it was too expensive, and I felt I could find a place that was just as nice, but more practical.

The quality and preparedness of the food is very poor. And my Mother has never been a picky eater. She rarely has a meal that she says tastes good . It's very substandard food. The facility has had difficulty maintaining good caregivers. The care givers are not being compensated well in salary and therefore not motivated to provide great care. It's a very beautiful facility when you walk in. You visually have a nice first impression when you walk in. And that is what Drew me to it. But behind the scenes, there is a lot of chaos going on. Caregivers and cooks having screaming matches in the hallways. Caregivers getting fired for being mean to residence. That happened just recently I heard from the insiders that the primary cook is leaving and there's no one to take his place.. Over the weekend, two caregivers showed up for residents. And the weekend cook did not show up and they just ordered pizzas to feed the residents.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend them as far as staff. I have a long list of negatives. However, I've come to the conclusion that the staffing issues are pervasive in the industry. Poor training, poor wages, poor leadership, and I could go on.

Overall it's a very caring and friendly community. However, the staff turnover is quite high. Some of the caregivers and med techs go above and beyond, and some look disengaged. For the cost of the facility, I expect more.
