It's been to long for that, but we were happy with everything. There were also a lot of covid outbreaks, so dining was very limited.

Just moved my mother in. Very welcoming. She is in the secure unit called Reflections. 33 people in there all with different stages of dementia. The move in process went fine. Wonderful young man helped us with the stuff. Office people were not present because we arrived after 5pm. My fiancé is talking with them more than I am because I live in Chicago and he lives in Livonia; I will be moving to Livonia when we marry. He raves about them and how well they do. Time will tell. First impression is good; I am a tough judge. I want the best for my mom.

The biggest complaint I hear from my family member is that the food is lukewarm or cold by the time it is served. Any chance they could put covers on the plates to reduce the cooling of the food before it reaches the table? When food is the highlight of your day, it's very important that the entrees be served hot. All of the workers are wonderful, and the facility is good.

they are going to get a better system for the residents to call for assistance and they do need a better system. Currently they have a bracelet with a whistle. the food seems to be good and most everyone is friendly. we like the option of the 3 levels of care.

Mom is almost 90 and is recovering from hip surgery in June 2013. She wasn't ready for a nursing home but could not come home yet. She has limited movement and must use a wheelchair to get around. The assistance at Arbor Inn has, for the most part, been very accommodating. I wish there was better communication between the shifts as she did not get her flu shot last week. We expected a verbal approval to night nurse to be sufficient. It was not. If you need something done, make sure it is in writing and make sure it is on the resident's chart. Everyone is friendly and we have never seen any indication of neglect or abuse. Of course, the "rent" is very affordable compared to a full blown nursing home. We are still waiting for her to get her own wheelchair ordered as we are loaning one from a relative. Again, more follow-up is needed on part of family.

This is based on over 2 yrs ago - The staff was friendly. With the exception of a couple employees, but I think you might find that everywhere. The activities and food needed improving. Dad struggled there( assisted living) it was before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. He needed more help than they could offer.

The cleanliness was good. The interaction with the staff was good. My loved one liked the food. We picked this community, because it was close to home and the price was reasonable. They need to keep their patients safe, and they need to implement things to keep them from falling. It's more for people who are independent. We were disappointed, that our loved one kept falling. My loved one needed a higher level of care, than what they offered.

Food is an issue always served cold, sometimes overcooked and selection choices are minimal. Not much of an activities program, the director is having issues finding staff and are having staffing issues. He had a runny nose and cold symptoms similar to Covid, he was tested but not when they had symptoms. He did end up being positive. We were ones to call and have him tested, which gave the positive result. Do not feel as we should have had to call for them to test when he was showing symptoms. Staff is very pleasant overall. Had one issue with sheets being dirty, we notified them and they did change right away.

I think in normal times, the Arbor Inn is aw ondrful facility for your loved one if htey have mobility and are farily self sufficient. When I was looking at other facilities, everyone seemed to be in the same place with restriction splaced on them by the state of Michigan government with lockdowns and family visiting. They've done a fair job of communicating with us during Covid. They've had some staffing issues with turnover and training, and the staff to patient ratio is probably around 1:16, and I think that's low for the needs that my loved one had. Eating out of Styrofoam container w plastic forks vs going to the dining room with a plat and slverware makes a big difference. Covid defineltelhurth the eating and dining experience being sequestered in the rooms. I think if dining, activiites, and visits open up and slowly get back to normal, it's a very good option to consider for your loved ones. Especially product for your dollar. And as long as your loved one has a fair amount of independence and does not need a lot of care and attention, I think Arbor Inn is avery good facility to consider.

Rooms are very small 16x12 or 14x11. Not even any room for their recliners. Price is less because of that. Basically you get a small bedroom and a bathroom. Price does include everything though. Housekeeping, meds, all utilities, 3 meals.

This is not a good fit. Did not like the room set up and they seemed to discourage bringing any of her furniture. Too small for a shared space.

This location fits within my mom's budget & is very close to her family & friends. It meets all her needs. There have been some issues which were addressed immediately. All residents very happy with the food. I am reserving judgement as to how attentive they are to residents needs. It is acceptable thus far.

Pleasant staff. Some of the community rooms were dark. My mother likes bright rooms.

I knew somebody in this community and It was pretty nice. It is where you go when you can't afford much. People are just sitting around with no stimulation. It has a strong urine smell in there. I wouldn't recommend this community.

My mom is still trying to get acclimated to moving into The Arbor Inn but the staff is working with her on that. For now, she is not getting involved in any of the activities or special events I think that it is still too early for her and the staff is working with her somewhat as well. The community is very nice, well kept up

There were some smells that seemed not too clean in certain areas. Lighting was not very good overall. Pleasant and friendly people on the staff. Hallways and rooms seemed spacious enough. Craft and other activities available to residents.

This may not be the classiest place, but it is definitely the most loving! The staff does an amazing job at making my mom feel cared for. The meals are very good, and she gets plenty of opportunities to socialize. I would absolutely recommend this facility!

We had a pretty decent tour of this community. From what we saw the community looked nice, and well maintained. The staff was kind, and informative. All our questions were answered. It was a pretty decent experience.

I didn't care for it when I went to tour the community. My 10 year old son said it smelled. I thought it smelled like pee. I feel it would be better using Memory Care because of wander risks.
