Very good therapy, they made my mom walk every day. The staff was excellent. The food was terrible, it was very bland. Even the egg salad. I had to bring some food. My mom asked for chicken nuggets from McDonald's. When she asks for nuggets then you know it's a problem. If they upgraded their food, it would be 5 across the board.

My loved one had a roommate who was a screamer, but he didn't want to ask to be moved because he had a window. The nurses are good, but if I had a chance to go somewhere else I would. The rehab was good. They kept his room clean. They had higher sodium food, lower quality food. I don't think they are set up for different types of diets, it's just canned food. No one ever called me to give me information and when I did ask they would say they would have to ask someone else. I think it’s because they are understaffed and overworked.

The therapy was great. The nurses that were changing him and cleaning his room were terrible. I always had to ask someone to come in his room and change him and there was always some food left in his room. The food was okay, but he doesn't eat pork and they kept bringing him pork.

I wish there was more therapy because there isn't enough for him to get better. There are long periods of no attention from anyone. It would have been my hope to have been more people working with him. He would be lying in bed for eight, ten, twelve hours with little or no interaction with staff. The staff greets you when you come through the door. They are collectively friendly. The grounds were well kept. Sometimes when they'd serve his meal, they would leave the food covered and he couldn't get it uncovered to access the food.

One thing that my husband doesn't like is that he lies in bed too much. They walk him every day for a little bit and then they just put him a wheelchair. When he has to use the bathroom, he rings the bell, it takes too long for them to come, and he wets the bed. Another thing that we don't like is that he only takes a shower two times a week. There is not even a shower in the room, they have to go somewhere else to shower. The staff is all friendly and smiley. The building is old but it’s okay. So far he likes the meals. They have never called me to let me know how he is doing. If I'm there I would like if they would come in and let me know how he is doing.

The nursing care could improve but I would still recommend.

My husband is doing well since moving into the community and he really enjoys the meals they make for the residents. From my visits, I have not seen any activities.

This was a fairly nice place. We loved the staff! However, when we were considering moving in, the staff promised that my parents would receive a room on the first floor, but they ended up having to be put on the third floor, which would not work for my father, who has dementia.

Limited parking - mostly street parking which is limited to only three hours only during the day. There are smells I didn't like and some of them are too strong. The library areas were small and the common room areas were small. There were no walkable shops or entertainment. Had a nice room with a large bathroom for ADA access. Nice modern look. Nice furniture in the common room. Marketing person will call me next week to discuss details.

Seemed like a well run facility and the sales person who met with me was terrific. I rated it a 3 mostly because I don't see it as a good fit for my mom. There was nothing wrong, but it just felt very traditional - which is not how my mom lives life.

My husband and I live in this very nice community. The staff is outstanding and friendly. The menu could use a little improvement. They do offer us activities each day. This community is clean and well taken care of. We like the care here and would recommend others to know if the good value for loved ones.

I know that my friend likes this community a lot, but I have my reserves about them. I was not impressed with them at all. They are not coordinated very well and they tell you that they are going to do something and they don't. They also have not been keeping me informed about what is going on.

I have no idea what they could improve because I was just there to tour the place. The people that own the place are pretty adamant about drumming up new business and are willing to do just about anything.

Our elder stayed here for a little over a year. The facility is in a nice location, and after recent remodeling the building interiors are nice. This facility is assisted living, which means it's more for residents that are ambulatory and independent. For the independent, you get room and meals and activities for a base price and it's pretty good. The activities calendar is filled with something for every day. They also typically throw a couple nice parties each year and invite family members. If you are not fully independent, then staying here does get expensive quickly with extra costs. And we found that the formula they have, of essentially two caregivers per building, left us feeling our loved one was not really getting the level of extra care we thought we were paying for. It was different early on; the staff there did make efforts to tend to everyone but there's been a fair amount of turnover in the staff and administration between the time we first started and time we left. Some of the caregivers are pretty good and the original nurses seemed very nice too, but things changed a lot as we were leaving and I can't say how it is now. Still you'll find some good and not-so-good staff at any facility, not just Willowbrook Place. For the independent, this could be a good option as there are plenty of activities and food is taken care of, and residents are free to come and go anytime and also have family visitors anytime. But if your loved one is deteriorating and needs more help with ADLs, look into memory care (offered by both Brookdale and competitors), which is somewhere between assisted living and a nursing home.

Not to impressed. The Independent part of their facility was full. It was a separate building and people have to walk across the street to the main building for meals.

Met with Cynthia. She was great. Very friendly. Shared information and gave us tips. Could use some updating which Cynthia said is coming. Didn't like the fact that the food is prepared in another location and serve from a steam table type set up.

Washer/Dryer right next to toilet. Everything off front entrance on first floor.

more independent living oriented. No hand rails in the halls and some apparent maintenance issues.
