I observed facility staff how they attend the residents. The environment is always with a smile for everyone as they acknowledge people coming in and out!

[Name removed] is excellent in his rapport with the residents and making them very comfortable about living at Newforest. He is an excellent leader, he attends resident meetings and getting things done in a timely matter! He has the gift of making people feel good about themselves and makes this place feel like home. His communication with the residents is ideal and appreciated.

Hi my name is [Removed]. I was looking for a place for both of my parents. After setting up an appointment with [Removed] to tour the facility and check out all the enmities the place had to offer. I knew immediately this was the right place for mom and dad. [Removed] is very friendly and professional. But most of all he showed a true likening to the residents and there needs. Also he is very engaging with all the residents. And that goes for all the staff here. As for the buildings and units, they are not brand new. But well kept and maintained. They offer a lot of activities for the folks to choose from, meals are very good. Not only do I think it’s a good fit for mom and dad but it also meets there budget. I would highly recommend this place. I live in fl. But I feel real assured this place will take care of my parents and look out for they’re best interests. I haven’t met all the staff here but [Removed] (front office), [Removed] ( medical staff), [Removed] ( head chef ) just too name a few, all great employees and people. I’m sure mom and dad are going to be Happy here. Sincerely [Removed]??

This place is doing very well with caring for my Mother-in-law. She seems to like it and is quite happy. The food can be a hit or miss; sometimes things are really good and sometimes it can be left out a little too long. It’s never been horrible, but it’s a cafeteria type environment. They do have a variety of things that you can choose from, though. The facility will take trips to various shopping locations and they’ll have groups come in during the holidays (like choirs and girl scouts) to entertain and visit. There’s a decent variety to keep everyone entertained. Overall, it’s a decent facility and she seems to be happy.

This place is awesome. Activity director is professional. Staff are very helpful compassionate and friendly.

My patient gets the best care here at this ALF. The staff did a fabulous job supporting the family and my patient through the transition period from living at home to moving to a new surroundings. Will definitely recommend this facility to families in the future for their loved ones.

This community is awesome. It feels like a home. The smaller number of units makes its so cozy. I love having the kitchen, in the “heart” of the building. The activities are always engaging! This would be the first place I would send a “loved one” to check out!

As a hospice chaplain. I’ve had occasion to visit patients at New Haven for the past two years. I’ve also partnered with the staff to do Veteran’s appreciation events. My experience with this community has been consistently positive. They are always genuinely caring of their residents and families, they are professional in their work and they always make outside providers like myself feel welcome and like we are part of the interdisciplinary team. I would definitely feel comfortable having one of my loved ones live here, if the need arises. Thanks to New Haven for taking really good care of our patients and families.

Excellent care. Good rapport at residents. Good worker to resident ratios.

The staff here is very personable and they care about their tenants. My mother is always checked on frequently in her unit. The size of her unit is wonderful, it has a good size living area, with the kitchen in the middle, a walk in closet, and other good features. There is also lot of activities offered: games, bingo, Yahtzee, there are exercise activities like a walking club, and there always five to ten things offered happening every day. There is also a hair salon on site.

My Mom loved living here. The grounds were nice to walk around, the apt was spacious, and the staff was friendly. Jessica in the front desk concierge and she is the best! If it is within her powers she will get it done. She keeps things running smoothly. The services are a great value.
