Although the place is not opulent the decor and feeling is much like a home and family ,not Like a hotel. The staff is attentive without being overly intrusive and very willing to adapt their ways to Mom's likes and dislikes. They really appears to enjoy working with this age of clients. The "care plan" is dynamic which is needed as her needs change. Meals are not fancy but nutritious.

I just thought the did a very nice job. We moved my mother-in-law and father-in-law in there. They have since passed away but Coventry was very good throughout the whole process. We had looked around and chose Coventry because it's a new place and it's a very nice set up there. The people really bent over backwards to try and help us any way they could.

Very nice, but more hospital-like situation. It might be better for my mom in the future, but it is a little too much for her right now. My preference is a smaller community, and Parkside Manor is a larger set up. They do provide a high level of care. I liked all the activities and they made sure that people would attend. My mom can't make her own decisions and they helped with that.

each cottage has 19 people, can go outside, flowers, tables, average age 80, youngest is 69, has an assessment by RN and place in housing area based on this assessment, alarmed doors,all buildings are identical, care conference every 30 days, double room 2795/month includes med managemen, highest care payment at 6100/month

New large building. One-bedroom apartments are spacious, however they must be furnished (furniture and appliances). 56 units in the building. Nice dining room and a lot of amenities. Price seems to be reasonable for what they make available. Staff said they can provide till end of life.

Very impressive on my visit. New facility with resident apartments very similar to Clement Manor. Meals are restaurant quality. On site physical therapy. Nursing on site. Question if they would be suitable for my fathers depression/mental illness. 56 Bed Registration suggest they do not accept public funding or residents with mental illness/depression. Private pay for two years before acceptance of public funding

Really liked everything they have to offer, but price is higher than others, and the location is not the best, will keep it considered though

Toured when facility was named "Comforts of Home". Liked that facility overlooks a pond setting. Dad still drives, so, resident parking was not offered at time of tour. Since the name has changed, perhaps amenities have changed, too????? would like to tour again.

Great chef and food. Includes 2 meals per day. All apartments are the same whether they are Assisted or Independent. The one and two bedrooms have separate bedrooms, bathrooms, and there is a small kitchenette which includes a small fridge and a microwave. All utilities are included except for phone and cable.

There are things about Parkside Manor that are very good, but there are also things that need improvement. Some of the staff is amazingly attentive and caring. The team is quick to address the issues we’ve had. The director is kind and knowledgeable, and we’ve enjoyed working with her. I find that the families and residents are treated respectfully. Staff genuinely seem happy to see family when they come to visit; they know residents by name, and are always gentle and kind. I think they need more staff on each shift in order to more carefully supervise the residents. My grandfather has had 6 falls while he’s been there, and once, they sent him to the hospital without telling us. (Part of his falling is due to having broken his hip just prior to moving in to the community and not realizing his own limitations) Communication is an area in which they need to continue to improve. We have struggled to be kept in the loop about things and sometimes it seems like they are not all aware of the same things. Overall, while we have had some issues here - partly due to normal adjustments of him being in a facility and giving them time to get to know him and his rhythms - I feel like they are working with us to make a difficult situation (dementia) better and to improve our family's experience at Parkside Manor.

We toured Parkside while looking for living options for my father. It was a nice community, had both apartments and duplexes, and one thing that my father would have loved is that they have two car garages. However, the location was not as centralized and easy to get around as some other communities we looked at. Because of this, we did end up choosing another community.

Mom has been having a hard time adjusting to living at this community. The residents do not seem friendly and the staff are not engaging. They do offer some activities that she has started to participate in. We are hoping things may improve after she has been here a little longer. The community is clean and the food is great. They have a nice sitting area outside overlooking a garden.

I almost moved my mom here. It's a nice community staffing seemed nice the location was the same as where I put my mom but something just told me not to place her here.

We toured this community for care. We did like the staff who did answer the questions that we had on the care that is offered. the community seems clean and the variety of the menu was appealing. The room was not what we were wanting and she did not want to have a small size room. We would suggest that other families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

My tour of Hickory Park did not go well at all. When I arrived, the lady at the front desk was not there. She came back after a while and said that she also was in charge of bingo. They were very short staffed, so it was not an option for me.

When you first walk into the Gracewood, the memory care unit is the first thing you see. I feel like it gives off an institutional feel that way. The rest of the community felt homelike and it was nice, but I could not get over the vibe that I got when I first walked in.

The aides I met seem to be very good at what they do. Its clean, friendly and I think for the most part take care of my dad very good. But like ALL homes even the best, the staff ratio is poor. Today almost all of the residents are sick with the flu and my dad has not has his diaper changed in assisted living until 4:30. They put it on at 7am. The staff is working with fevers the health dept. should know about his as well as the owner. There is no nurse there on weekends which is a sin and not appropriate. So whoever owns this needs to spend more money and have more help available on weekends and the whole home is in a crisis and sick. [Removed] social worker

My mom stayed here for a short time, she wanted to be home. The staff did their best to get her comfortable and accommodated her needs as much as possible. There were a little bit of activities that she tried out. The care and safeness was provided during the time.

I had a tour of this community that did go well. I got to see a room that was available. I noticed that is was close to a door that leads to outside and she had a balcony that was outside too and because it was on the lower level I felt that my mom could wander off. I also felt there was not enough staff for the residents and I did not feel right moving my mom into this community. The meals are planned out with no alternatives.
