The building is old and my loved one wasn’t happy here. I don’t remember any activities at all. The physical therapy would get a four if it was a category. The employees were a three. My loved one didn’t like the food.

The food is not nutritional. They don't give my father in-law good care. I'm in the process of moving him out of that place.

I gave a 30 day notice to bring mom closer to home & they never refunded my $$$. Called multiple times & was told its up to corporate. Would never recommend!

I was a visitor at the facility for the first time. There was no one at the front desk and I waited about 10 or 15 minutes. There was no security on the doors and people could come in or leave with no problem. I noticed some resident wandering around and one spoke to me and appeared to be in need of monitoring or supervision. I was concerned that it would’ve been very easy for one of the residents such as this to just walk right out the door. I don’t know if the facility has cameras at the front, and if they do and are being monitored, then that makes it different. The only people that were available, were located down a long hall and to the right. One person was playing on their phone and another was doing paperwork. I just feel like there needs to be some kind of security and representation at the lobby area.

Buyer beware. PT/OT are excellent. But, facility changed its scope to fill 2nd floor with memory care & clients who require prodigious amounts of personal care. Staffing has NOT increased for needs, yet Lakes assures meets PA requirement. All 2nd floor who are capable are getting short shrift & largely must take care of themselves. Baths 2x/week don't occur anymore due to staff is constantly tied up with more dependent residents. Food is lousy, nutrition poor. Weird assigned seating for meals. Scheduled menu items frequently unavailable & Lakes claims to have "just run out" after 1st floor was served first. I don't know how this place can even begin to claim that they do diabetic care, unless they mean the glucose tests + pass the meds, because dietary needs of a diabetic can't be met by the kind of meals that we catalogued in a 5 month stay. Had to clean toilet ourselves. NP breezes in and talks in public at meals, then bills for full-service office visit. Nobody checks wt or vitals.

Most of these reviews are older. New management has taken over and it has changed alot. Biggest change is the dining services. They do not cook meals on the weekends, they provide packaged meals on Friday, to last the weekend. Typically a sandwich , soup, and small entree. Starting Feb, no breakfast either. Also you do not get to pick a meal, you get what you get. I guess they figure its Independant living, so you can make your own. Typically no staff around after 5pm or weekends, so if you're looking for security, they only have cameras. They provide call buttons, but tell them not to wear them at night, because they are too sensitive. You have to put your trash in laundry room, sits over weekend. I suppose they are trying to move to a totally independent facility? It used to be how they advertise themselves, a luxury retirement community...Umm not so much anymore. The rent is reasonable, you get what you pay for. The lobby and dining area are nice, rooms are outdated

There have been at least six MC directors in three years. 2020 to 2023. [name removed] was investigated by Adult Protective Services due to a unreported fall that resulted in a broken leg. The MC staff and director should have better knowledge of how to turn the bedridden residents, how to dress residents who have pain, and how to cut up food for those who can no longer use utensils. Food for those who can feed themselves with utensils is usually very good. The activities are good. The outdoor area for the MC is small, hot, and with sad landscaping. The MC office is lackadaisical with many wrong phone numbers and misplaced paperwork. The ladies at the sign-in area are the best! Since I have another family member in another MC facility in Tampa so I can say that [name removed] MC staff is not up to the standards that they should be as caregivers.

There is a constant turnover of staff and frequent issues with poor response to the call button. Some staff a very friendly, some are not.

Regent of Stow….where we don’t do anything we said we would and if we said it, we didn’t mean it. Total disappointment. They fail in every way. You can talk to whoever you want. Nothing changes. No management or pride in care of residents.

The staff members would be a 10 out of 10 they were just fantastic. We really cannot say enough good things about them. However the dining experience was terrible and the food was served on paper plates.

I would want others to know we did not have a good expedience here. Something happened and they had to take my dad to the hospital. They did not call us or even tell us that it happened and I got a medical bill in the mail. When he left here, he had a whole bunch of medicines from the pharmacy they use, they were supposed to get them all together so I could pick them up and they somehow disappeared. The price is good.

The staff at the Rockport were also very friendly and accommodating, very welcoming. My biggest concern was the building: it felt like a motel. Granted there was no furniture in the apartment I saw. First the location of the Rockport is in the middle of a busy, commercial street. The lobby was uninviting, the rooms also uninviting. A big drawback for my aunt would be the lack of a kitchen and therefore wouldn't work. I feel badly because the two women I met clearly were committed to providing the best for their clients.

We toured this place for 2 loved ones. The facility is nice, the downfall is the communication. I tried calling 3 times and left messages and we did not get a return call back. We wanted to rent the room. I also noticed no one really talks to anyone when the residents are in the lobby. With both of these downfalls, which I think are crucial, we decided to move on and find another facility.

The Negatives: 1. Smell. Strong odors of cigarettes, perfumes, and potentially insecticide in lobby and hallways. 2. Residents are assigned tables. 3. Cheap carpeting in rooms. Half-size refrigerators. 4. Not very sophisticated in their manners. The Positives: 1. Busy place, lots of people moving around. A variety of people. 2. Shopping in walking distance.

I would give this nightmare a negative 5 if that were at all possible! After spending thousands of dollars a month to secure care and safety for my mother-in-law, this place did not fulfill any of their promised expectations! They claim to be experts on dementia care, but regularly allowed my mother-in-law to be physically assaulted, often blaming her for their lack of supervision. Many times we would show up and she would be covered head to toe in her bodily fluids with staff completely unaware. They also on several occasions mixed up her medication’s because of their poor recordkeeping. This place is horribly under staffed. Every time we tried to work with them, to address these issues, they made promises that they would not fulfill, and excuses as to why things were never their fault. After trying for several months, we realized that she was not safe there and have moved her out much to their somehow surprise. They really only care about the money! I lived at Regent of Stow for 8 months and ran for my life leaving my dear friends behind but I couldn't help myself I felt like I was in prison. It's supposed to be assisted living not a nursing home not a memory Care unit but assisted living and because of the others who live there it takes away the independence of those who are in assisted living. The place appears to be clean but that's where this compliment stop. The staff is friendly but they will stab you in your back The nurses are great but there's not enough of them and they don't give them enough hours and they don't treat them properly so we lose them all the time. Some of the gates that work there are fantastic but are not given the credit that they deserve. Some of the aids that work there should not be there. The facility is a full capacity there is not enough nursing staff or Aides. The food is not fit for a pig trough. I had diarrhea when I live there now that I moved I no longer have that problem. My parent is currently at this facility and will be leaving in a month. It started off affordable but most of the services they provided were suddenly not available. Also got a letter stating that we are now responsible for buying items that were originally provided. They switch management and the bill escalated instead of going down. High turn over rate with employees. Aide told my parent that we will be responsible for paying extra for standard nursing services. Never got notified the house doctor was not seeing my parent because the doctor didn’t except insurance. They still don’t have a hairdresser or barber. Staff does minimal work.

Absolutely terrible, do not send your loved ones here. Starting from not having any nurses or workers and the ones that did work well were fired. Nurses were never there for night shift. Or left early on second shift. They would pass meds and just sit them in the room meds would be off count or not given at correct times. In order to get any meds at night they would call the ambulance and we would have to go to the hospital. Management is absolutely TERRIBLE! Megan can’t figure out how to communicate with people and [name removed] doesn’t do well at her job! Horrible management! They don’t appreciate the workers there that actually did work! Residents were going weeks without shower’s because the aides didn’t feel like giving them! Let residents lay you in their own urine most of the time. Kitchen wouldn’t come in and they would serve soup and grilled cheese almost everyday! Instead of cooking. Absolutely terrible place

The Care was poor and health suffered as a result. Hospitalized for severe dehydration after waiting 2+ weeks to do requested blood work and 10 days for the result. It was Difficult to contact staff, slow to get a response and concerns were not resolved.

My aunt was assessed by Rockport staff in [date removed] and we were assured that she was a perfect fit and her needs could be met at Rockport with add on services that were described in detail by the Marketing Director, From the minute my aunt arrived in [date removed], the nursing staff and aids told us she should have NEVER been accepted, as they did not have resources to provide the care we were assured was available at a higher cost. Marketing is clearly on a completely different page than the actual caregivers. Some of the caregivers were very kind to my aunt, but they were understaffed and just unable to meet her needs. They told us we were sold a bill of goods by Marketing - and we definitely were. My aunt struggled and suffered for 3 days until she fell and was sent to the ER. In [date removed], we were offered an apology for accepting my aunt, and a promise of a full refund.. To date we have received nothing and calls from Rockport are not returned. Disgraceful.
