Ownership has changed and the food has improved since then, but rent has jumped tremendously. The amenities are good, but we are disappointed in the care level. They're often short staffed, especially on the weekends.

Staff was ok, but they didn't have enough staff. They didn't seem as friendly and would often be visiting with each other instead of caring for residents. Cleanliness was good enough. The director was so nice. Often times she was trying to cover the staff shortages and not even able to be in her office to get her own things done. I'd see her serving in the dining area or doing other things just to keep things going. It was ok, but not great.

The community needs painting in the commons areas. The units were very small here. The staff were very nice.

My experience has been disappointing. The activities are lacking, there's nothing to do. There's no place to exercise and no library for books. It's very boring. The place is nice inside, but we're kind of disappointed. The food could be better, it tastes ok most of the time and sometimes it's not good. The choices lack variety and become kind of boring. They mostly serve chicken and a little bit of steak.

It's a fine facility. And it's medium-sized. They struggle with keeping direct care staff. As a result of that, sometimes wait times are longer than expected. But overall people are friendly. And they do try to make things better. It's just on a week-to-week basis, you never know if they're going to be fully staffed or not. They have had a big change in the last two weeks, adding a lot more care staff. So hopefully that will create improvements. They have plenty of activities. They could clean a little more often in my loved one's room, but it's never terrible. For the most part they take care of things well, including adult diaper smells. And the dining areas, restrooms, and front areas are always clean.

The staff do give really good care to the residents, but our main problem we have encountered is the entire executive team is gone. So everybody now is new and there are a lot of changes going on and we just are unsure about some things.

This community was good from the tour experience, however I have heard some not so good things from others at this community.

Tired looking, not a good vibe. Residents didn't seem engaged.

Our family had an in person tour and the staff were all great, we did like how the rooms were bigger then a previous community we looked at, but we just did not think this was going to be the right place. We did not really like the layout of the community, it is two floors which is fine but it just seemed pretty dark and not very inviting.

Mom and Dad are liking it. They staff are really nice to them. The food is good, and the chef has been able to work with my mom with her dietary restrictions. They activities are good as well. They had some difficulties with the billing, but she was able to talk to them and get it straightened out. Other than that, they seem to be really liking it there and are doing just fine. They finally got everything hung on the walls that I couldn't help them with - Beaver Dam has special staff that help with that. So it feels like their place, and not just a place where they're residing for a bit, which was really important to them.

Clean, spacious apartments. Activity person passes her responsibility to residents favoritism shown in games. More staff needed. Most staff friendly and helpful but over worked because of current "I want a pay check but I don't want to work" attitude most employers are dealing with.

More consistent help, less changing of caregivers. Clean facility, staff is friendly and helpful.

I'm new to this product. However, it's not an easy learning curve. The first person we met at Rock Run was amazing. She was welcoming, friendly, answered all of our questions and even gave us some things to think about. She gave us hope in a dark time. However, after moving my parent in to assisted living, its been frustrating. We paid for a maximum level of care, but my parent tells me no one is helping. We can't get anyone to tell us what is done by whom and when. The biggest challenge is communication. I think the people are good by nature, but the organizational systems in place are not explained nor evident. Also, the activities are not for a wide group of people, more for preschoolers. Wish they had some learning or culture groups as activities - music, art, theatre, travel, books or magazine articles, cars etc instead of arts and crafts, bingo and happy hour.

We toured this community and it was nothing special. The tour was short and I really didn't get a good feel for the community

I like the fact that it is smaller and the care seems more intimate. The meals and medication administration are included, along with housekeeping. It is very dated and smells like a nursing home, however apparently it will be undergoing major renovations as it is under new ownership. The rooms are very basic and include one room and a bathroom. Pricing seems more reasonable. This is very close to where my sisters and I live and is definitely something to consider.

We did a virtual tour with the community. It was very nice and the staff was friendly, they answered all of our questions and tried to make the virtual tour as good as it can be.

Small Community which is a plus for memory care. The discount for couples was not clear at the time of tour.

Not a very welcoming entrance. The hallways are white on white — looks like a hospital.

It hard to get to know the staff due to the turnover, They have not gotten their covid vaccines yet also.

The care services would be very low at this community, our loved one fell multiple times. At one point she ended up in the hospital and the social service workers there told us we needed to remove our loved one from the community. They said they have the worst communication and one of the highest community fall rates. The communication is terrible, when our loved one would fall we were never immediately called. When we were able to see her in hospice her skin was in really good shape so we know at least that was being taken care of, however her sodium levels were way off which was caused by her not eating for many days. The staff to patient ratio was way off, and that was according to the emergency medical care that reported it to us.
