When selecting an assisted living facility for my father, I evaluated 16 providers, narrowed the list to three that my father visited. My father selected Legacy. When asked why, he said that this facility had the finest room, and the most friendly and caring staff. The decision was easy. As for me, I see a staff that treats my father like family and treats me as the customer. They are professional, friendly and act with integrity. I could not be happier know my father is well taken care of.

My mom loves it at Bella Vista. We don't have any complaints. We liked the location, and the people are nice. The facilities are beautiful. They take really good care of her. It's working really well.

Everything I have to say is, 100% positive. They are a five star and then some. My dad picked this one because the suite is the largest, and the way the room is set up in quarters, so there is plenty of room and each area is equally as big. It was far and away the best space with a competitive price. I have eaten lunch with him there, the salads are fresh and crisp, and the hot food is served hot, and the cold food is cold, and they are the cheeriest people serving them, that you have ever seen. They had one little incident, which they were so embarrassed about, we needed nurse coverage, and somehow they dropped the ball between the site and the district. It was the overall district that dropped the ball, not the community, something between the hand off between corporate, and the community. Emeritus at Legacy gardens are great people. Every time he goes to the hospital, the director goes and visits like he is family. They have a motto about creating another family for the residents, and they really do. When he came home from the hospital they were there to greet him. They are the right balance between we gotta be tough and do the right thing, and being loving, and caring, at the same time. I think they are a best kept secret, it's a little off the beaten trail, but if your loved ones are with it, and can manage the metro bus system, they can go on an accessible bus anywhere metro services, for three dollars and change, and have someone ride with them for free. Legacy will even load him on the bus, but they aren't staffed to ride with him.

Things have gone very well with Emeritus at Stow, I'd give them top marks across the board! It's an attractive, clean, well kept community, and everyone has been very friendly. You just get a good feeling when you walk in, the whole place has a warm, homey atmosphere.

We're very pleased with how things have gone with The Inn at Willow Falls. My love one really seems to be enjoying herself here! She was very reluctant when it came to moving to a community, but the staff here were very friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure she felt comfortable and at home.

Emeritus was wonderfully welcoming to my entire family. They invited my Grandma for lunch to see the facility after touring. As a trial, Grandma was evaluated and checked in for a respite stay. This has been wonderful- allowing her to try the facility to feel comfortable before moving in. She has had nothing but good things to say about the staff and food.

For those out there going through the process of finding a care facility for your loved one and struggling with not knowing which one will treat your family member like one of their own.....stop looking. Our mother was in two facilities before Merrill Hills. The level of care and love she received here was a blessing to her and to her family. Her room was kept spotless, the food was incredible. I don't think there was a single person there who didn't know her and her family by name. You will never find anyone parked in a wheelchair in the hallway idle and lonely. Everyone is engaged in activities even if just watching. They made us feel welcome always, and in Mom's last days we could see genuine care and concern in all their faces. Mom wasn't just a number to them; she was loved by them. If you want a facility where you will be at ease when you can't be there this is it. I can't think of a thing more important than that.

My 2 sisters and myself have never encountered such a caring and friendly community of caregivers as Merrill Hills Manor and the attached Seasons Hospice. We had Mom in 2 places prior to Merrill Hills and the other 2 couldn't come close to the friendliness and caring of the staff at Merrill Hills and Seasons. We did our homework thoroughly after the first 2 places and found out dollar wise they are all about the same. But when it comes to loved ones you cannot put a price tag on their care. We highly recommend Merrill Hills Manor!

I struggled between memory care and assisted facilities for mom. While we were aware her dementia was worsening and her vision was severely limited, we weren't sure if she needed the full-time intervention offered by memory care facilities or if she could function enough to enjoy simple assisted living. Now that she has been at Emeritus for over a month, she is settling in well attending functions and eating regularly. Being around others with less severe impairment seems to be beneficial, and the mood swings have decreased. Not to mention that the price is fantastic for the fine level of care. Very happy with our choice.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This place as VERY nice looking! It was very clean, the staff were all friendly and professional, and the care and amenities they provided looked excellent! This was one of the nicest places we saw during our touring. Unfortunately it was also one of the more expensive options, and outside of the price range we were looking in.

We found the staff to be very carrying and professional. The facility is beautiful, clean and easy to maneuver with wheel chairs or walkers.

My loved one wasn't here long, but while he was they did an excellent job! I'd give them top marks across the board. Everything from start to finish was just fantastic, from the care to the employees themselves. They were very easy to work with, and great about follow-up.

Best option for the cost. As long as the resident is at a lower care level, a very cost-effective option. Residents seems pretty content and cookies looked very good!!! My top choice for my mom/

We are very pleased with this decision and really have nothing negetive to say about them! When we were looking around, we found that for the price here and the quality you get, this seemed to be the best overall value!

We are very happy with our choice. We just brought my dad there yesterday, and I believe he will fit in well!

They were so helpful! We had a lot of questions and they took the time to answer every one. We still have questions and they are patient. We think Emeritus is a perfect for our Mother. She is social now and takes the day trips whenever she can. She loves to sight see where she grew up. She loves that she can go shopping and she likes not having to cook her own meals. We even got to have lunch with her. We like that her meds are given to her daily and we don't have to worry any more about what could happen. We know everyone by their name from the concierge to dining room staff and they know us. She has a beautiful room that backs up to the forest preserve and she has even seen a couple of deer! She wants to put a bird feeder outside her window and they said she could! A Place for Mom was so helpful and took a lot of stress away from finding her the right place. Also we only had a week to find her a wonderful Place and we did!

We've been very happy with them. The activities could be a little better. They recently enacted that everybody has to sign in at the community center when they visit, I think that's stupid. I think it's just a lovely setup, when you drive up you feel like you have arrived at your vacation home.

The apartment at Willow Falls is the nicest we have seen. The fourth floor is a drawback. We are still considering Willow Falls as an option.

We are working with Emeritus as a potential placement for Mom in memory care. The staff here have been very helpful.

It is working out very well and we are very impressed by them.
