Needs a little more caregiver supervision and oversight.

Beautiful new facility, but the care does not seem to be what we were promised. Little to no follow through with the majority of the care staff and nobody really seems to know what is going on with their residents. It is difficult and emotional enough to transition your loved one into assisted living, without the added stress of feeling that he/she is being neglected. This facility has all the bells and whistles, but I feel that the "sales team" did not give us realistic expectations for care. They have these great little bracelets that the residents wear with a door key and a call button. Unfortunately it takes the upwards of 25 minutes for anyone to respond to the call, which I find to be completely unacceptable.

I didn't like it at all. I didn't like the way the rooms were set up. There were no doors on the bathrooms because they couldn't get through them with the wheelchairs. I didn't find the woman that I spoke with to be very friendly and it turned me off.

They are very understaffed. Hard to get answers to questions or requests. Rooms not the cleanest (again understaffed). New rooms are very nice and most of the staff that I have encountered has been helpful.

This facility should not be accepting any new residents at this time. They do not have the administrative or healthcare staff to take care of the residents. If it wasn't this time of year, my daughter and I would be pulling my husband out of there this month. He has been there for three months and every month we keep hoping his care will get better but it does not. They do not keep him dry since he is incontinent, he is immobile and have forgotten him in his room at dinner times, and since he is a two person assist, they ignore his needs because they don't have the staff to care for him. Luckily my daughter has been able to go there and check on him constantly or it's hard to tell what might have happened to him by now. We have even had his physical therapist call us and tell us what condition they found him in one morning when they were there. So, no I would not recommend Brooklyn Point to anyone else.

The staff were nice but none could speak English so very hard to communicate and not enough staff to feed the patients. I would not recommend Inspired Living at Ivy Ridge.

It was not what we expected. There is a significant language barrier. Most of the day to day staff only speak Spanish. Mom was there for less than a month.

Lots of issues with aides and housekeeping. Nurses are rude, arrogant and uncaring. Management has provided incorrect information. The previous executive director had no idea or didn't care about what goes on at this facility. The hope is that the new executive director will handle all the issues she has been stuck with. I regret moving my aunt to this facility. It's always some issue day in and out.

Cousin from Chicago Not impressed with the facility. People sitting outside in the heat, no shade, no refreshments, not welcoming. Very little activity if you do not play cards. Orientated for the elderly. Not much to do. Nothing in the evening except for movies that start at 6 pm which you can watch on tv. The food was average and cold with small portions. The dining room was open from 4-6 pm. My cousins who are 83 & 86 enjoy the facility since they play cards and go to bed at 9 pm. This place does not have a large bus for transport and it only runs on a sparse schedule. Not for anyone under 80!

Our families experience with Mira V was surprisingly terrible. On the outside the facility presents well. But what I experienced and what is really going on is an understaffed overwhelmed facility that would rather send a client to the hospital then deal with them like a human being. My mother was not in any danger of hurting herself. She was sent to the hospital two weeks in a row. On her second visit, they suggested rehab to get her medication's adjusted. At the rehab, she broke two hips and ended up with pneumonia and a blood clot and is now fighting for her life. This is due to Mira V not giving her the proper attention she needed and not being to handle something that they signed up for and said they could handle no problem. They do not follow through on what they say. They are very deceiving with pricing. My recommendation is do not use this facility because they will pawn off your loved one onto a hospital and put them at risk of going to a very dangerous rehab

My comments are for the memory care section. I can't comment on the Assisted Living Area. It is difficult to talk with anyone. Messages are almost never returned.

They could work to improve on repairs. No we would not recommend the community to other families. They raised her rent two times within one year one of the elevators has been broken for months and they took away the free Wi-Fi that they had through the building and which would've worked in all the rooms apartments

I had a HORRIBLE experience at Mira Vie !! My husband fell 14 times and sustained a fractured hand during one fall. Very understaffed - Med techs were referred to as "nurses". After the 14 th fall I took him out and hired a private home health aide. Talking with other professionals about Mira Vie - it is NOT a place to send a loved one !! Do not put your loved one in the Memory Unit unless totally INDEPENDENT! They could lay on the floor for an inordinate period of time. No one knows anything!

Staff is completly clueless!!! Unless you get new staff i see the Mira vie at Fanwood going down. [name removed] a previous employee that left (i wonder why) was why I signed on. All clueless who are "suppose" to be running the place efficiently, No i would not refer this Place to anyone now.

I wanted a nice place for my 85 year old Mother, tour wonderful at inspired Living Lakewood Ranch, very impressed, I thought she would be taken care of very good, while I went to PA bc my daughter had a baby…. Very dissatisfied with the care she got mind you she has a walker can’t go to the restroom by herself and even getting out of bed is hard, her mind is sharp, so she remembers everything! We paid [removed] extra for the extra so called help that she needed, I would talk to her on phone and she would tell me things that happened very upsetting to me when I put her in this place for them to take care of her! I will never put my Mother in this residential home! She was dehydrated when we took her home, it was horrible! They screwed up her antibiotics many times! She would see the gal that came to our house to evaluate her, she was super nice here, but when my Mother seen her there she was very rude!

I'll just say this...all of the folks who dooped me into placing my Aunt here have been fired (Director of Nursing, Administrator and Director of Sales)! Everyone is very nice until there is an issue then the buck gets passed. Needless to say I would not recommend this facility.

Although there are positives. it is sad that the hall and public spaces have been without Air Conditioning for 3 months. This means in hot weather, residents cannot do activities in public spaces- art, movies, bingo and they are relegated to their rooms. Also, the bus that was used to transport residents to events has not been in use ( being repaired) for several months, so those trip outside the facility have not been happening.

Don’t let ur guard down and trust no one. It is always going to sound like the answer to your prayers but the lies will be revealed soon after u get settled in and write your second check. Oh and just in case u r looking for a medicaid certified facility, I found it takes aprox. 1 year and the facility next door is not an option if u love and care for your person. There should be laws about tricking desperate, weary uneducated caretakers seeking a sound, safe, environment for someone they love. By the time u finish the brutal crash corse u will no doubt receive in placing ur person in a facility, it will be to late. The damage will be done and u too will be back to square one. U will be a little bit wiser but unfortunately u will be disappointed, outta money and so very numb.

It started off positive. They were very friendly and helpful but as the months progressed, we lost a few service helpers due to whatever, and the quality of help went down with the exception of a couple of that stayed and continued with good care. The food started out really good and then they lost the chef and the food Has been mediocre. The activities have been really good but my mom had some issues with calling for help and they didn't respond for over two hours and she wound up in the hospital.We chose them because they were very friendly, very positive. The tour went really well. They offered features that other communities didn't include and those communities were more expensive, but the main factor was that they were closest to my brother who lives near by.

The staff promises a lot of care and rarely delivers. They always are short staffed. Administration promises to look into things and they don’t. Residents are afraid to complain. The plumbing issues were never completed in time.
