Dial Retirement Communities

I like the photos of how this will look. I think it has a combination of contemporary/retro/Frank LLoyd Wright feel fo it. I also liked the high ceiling option in the 'wings'. I think shey enjoy living with people of higher intellectual ilk. The floor plans offer good options for her and I think she would be able to find one she likes if so minded.

I liked this place.

Right in the middle of CU campus. Some great perks, like classes and games on campus. Didn't like the layout of the facility or the fact that they want to do all care within the original apartment. Floor plans were somewhat odd as well.

Nice place and nice people....nice room, good activities and transportation....pricey as well........ staff was very helpful and informative.

Excellent facility.

If your loved one has any type of behavioral outbursts, this is probably not the place for them.

I think Lake Barrington Woods does a wonderful job. They have been vigilant through COVID. I wish they would improve the food and that might help change their rating.

Silvercrest has been a generally good experience for my mother. We chose this community because it is a smaller facility, which fits my mother’s needs better than a larger community, the price is the least expensive of the other communities here in town, and the proximity. Silvercrest is very close to my home and my work. The facility is just like all the other communities I have seen though, it isn’t particularly unique or special in any way, and they seem to have trouble serving high quality food. I also see a problem with having to move her to another community eventually because there’s “no room at the inn” so to speak. Silvercrest doesn’t encompass all levels of care, and I can see myself needing to move her as her needs increase. I think this is a misleading aspect of the industry that they make you think that they have everything set up perfectly, but it isn’t quite that way. Overall though, Silvercrest has been adequate for our needs now.

I have no complaints of how things went during my loved ones tour of this community. The staff where kind and made sure to answer any questions we had for them

They are changing management companies. Dad has a nice apartment. They just recovered the pool table. The place is lonely for a lot of the residents. They do not have a lot of activities going during the day. This community is in a convenient location. I would say this community may be more suited for a more independent resident.

Our tour of this community was a pretty fair one. From what we saw everything appeared to be well maintained. Our tour guide was great and very cheerful. They were informative and answered all my questions. They offer nice activities through out the week. It was a pleasant tour.

Overall, the place is very good. It is really clean and the people treat the residents with respect and friendliness. The problem is the dining room. The service is so slow, it is nearly impossible. It frequently takes a full HOUR to get your food! In speaking with the dining room supervisor and the front office, they acknowledge the problem, but offer no solutions. I am very frustrated for my father. I honestly don't know what to do. I don't want to stress my father by moving to a different place. I wish management would DO something instead of just blowing off the problem.

There need to be more activities. There is minimal interaction with other residents. There have also been some issues with the timeliness of the caregivers getting to where they need to provide services on time. The menu for the food is mediocre at best.

It's pretty darn clean. The staff is friendly. I think they are a very good business. The food is great, the portions aren't very big, though. They are quick to respond if there is a need or a concern, and they do have lots of different activities. I can't really think of anything that needs to be improved or done better.

Activities were repetitive, the food was bad, the staff was friendly and helpful, facilities were clean. Apartment was large for a one bedroom.

Apartments are small housekeeping was mediocre. Some of the staff was very nice and many were very helpful. At the time I was there the top management person was not good. Nothing good to say about her and her attitude in 3 words after I moved I heard from a friend that she was fired and escorted off premises. Cost is high. Many residents fear that they will run out of money and then what will they do. Maintenance was very good. It's not exceptional, but adequate.
