I enjoy the people! It's a nice place to be. I enjoy getting help with my baths and the housekeeper keeps my room sparkly clean.

They are always on top of things and you always know what's going on around the building, activities, meals, etc. I have made great friends here.

My husband & I were very impressed with our tour. The building, premises and rooms were lovely and rooms were large. We also liked that there were couples as well as single men and women. We enjoyed our lunch.

I am happy with care I am receiving. Enjoy my surroundings and visiting neighbors.

Employees of all levels are helpful and go out of their way to accommodate residents. The calendar is full of activities and exercises, transportation to Dr. Visits, grocery stores, shopping malls etc. provided. Lunch outings are frequent.

We toured this community while looking in care options for a loved one. I thought Delmar Gardens seemed like a nice enough place, but it was also very very expensive. Based on what I saw there wasn't anything to set them apart enough to justify the vast price difference between this and some other communities we saw in the area.

At the time we toured they did not have any availability so we ended up selecting another community, but this is somewhere I would have considered as an option for my loved one.

Had lunch with mom...rooms are nice and the view over the lake is very appealing.

This was the best. Great location, great environment and residents seemed very happy. Difficult to get in touch with Shaunda and I left numerous calls that were not returned. Bathrooms are small and angular - not wheelchair friendly. There are no walk-in showers, although some tubs have tiny cutouts but still have a tall lip to step/trip over. Plush carpets are difficult to work with in a wheelchair.

At Garden Villas of Lenexa they need more upfront communication from the nursing staff. I didn't feel like they got a good idea of what her medical needs were upfront. Other than that everything else is really good here. I like it.

Met with Activities Dir, Linda, because Wendy was at a corporate function. It is also an older facility but near where I live. It has been well maintained and updated. I am going back today to tour with Wendy because I have a lot of questions that I was sure Linda could not answer. Pluses are it's near to me, Apt sizes are good, have either balconies or patios, rates are reasonable, all inclusive rates, on site bank, mailboxes serviced by USPS not staff, longevity of staff. Negatives are no w/d in apts and no transitional memory care available

We toured this community while looking into senior living options for our loved ones. While it wasn't our favorite, Delmar Gardens still seemed like a nice place overall. The facility was clean and nice, and the staff seemed friendly. However I don't think it was the best fit for us, our loved ones are on the younger end of the senior scale, while the population here seemed a bit older and not quite as active as my parents wanted.

The staff were friendly and seemed very understanding of the needs of their residents. However, we felt this place was a little bigger than our loved one would have been comfortable with.

Generally, Nancy & I are very satisfied. However some of the vegetables are overcooked (broccoli, brussel sprouts)

I like living here it is kept clean. The dinner menu needs to be upgraded not the same thing. I feel a place like this needs a director that is friendly and joins in the activities that the activity department has put together whenever possible.

Very large complex; rooms were very nice size and fully equipped with mini-kitchens.

It's very nice and it's very expensive. I would say their facility is nicer compared to Dunwoody and they have the nursing home right there.

Very good place. My mother loves it here. They do a good job in getting her involved and are very encouraging. Seems to be some confusion on getting the meals right as to what she has ordered. We looked at several options and this gave the most value as to services and size of room.

I have been touring the area for my mother and I toured this facility recently and immediately felt like I returned back to the late 80s with the outdated color schemes and gold/brass sconces and light fixtures. The advisor and director who run the facility were very nice and proud of their services and accommodations. Overall, staff and residents seemed happy where they worked. The staff were not all employees and the facility did incorporate agency workers. Compared to other facilities in the area, this one needs a huge update with new carpeting, kitchens, fresh paint, bathrooms with a fresh look (new vanities, toilets, walk-in showers), and decor. The rooms were small, rundown, and need some TLC. Also, there were several repair workers in the building repairing stuff which felt like everything was broken. I have taken pictures to bring back to my mom to perform a few tours of ones that she would like and after entering the building, I knew this one was not going to make the cut.
