Overall, things have been good here for dad. The main challenge is the staffing shortage, but I know that is common in all facilities. It can be challenging and causes communication issues a lot of times. But they really do try here and they genuinely care about the residents. I love that they have so many residents that are Veterans. They often do special activities for them and also offer them a discount. The activities in general are wonderful. They have a great variety and dad enjoys them. Meals can be a challenge for dad, but they really do try to accommodate his needs. Housekeeping is ok, but I often find myself cleaning again after they've come and gone a lot of times. Overall cleanliness is good, though. The staff is very nice and they really are trying to do their best here. It helps when residents have an advocate like I am for my dad. I think that's important with any facility that you have a loved one in. I would recommend them to family and friends.

When we speak with our loved one they seem to overall like the meals and dining service. Based on the experience we have had so far with Highgrove at Tates Creek we would recommend them to other families.

The communication would be the biggest thing for them to improve on - we live far away so when our loved one first moved in they set up a group text where we would get updated constantly regarding our loved one. However the longer our loved one stays there the less and less of that communication we are getting. It is just fizzling out.

This facility is really good. They are experiencing staffing shortages like everyone else, so it's challenging. Everything else is great. Housekeeping is once a week and they do ok. If they had more staff, it could be better. But they're doing the best they can with the staff that they have. My loved one has her meals delivered, they seem to be good quality and she's happy with them. Communication with the family is great. They have a variety of activities. I would recommend them to friends and family

Overall, I'm happy with the experience. I think it's a very clean facility and a nice place. But they've gone through several different administration changes, so things are changing quite rapidly. With food and service, they've gone through a few different companies. The main component that is lacking is communication. Everything has been fantastic other than the communication - which I would rate that at about a 2 currently. For anyone's parents who are older and cannot voice for themselves, that would be a concern. For instance, they left me a message that there was an incident when my loved one was stuck in an elevator. But when I called them back several times, I couldn't get anyone to call me back to let me know what was going on after that. Fortunately, my loved one was able to tell me about it later. With all the staff changes, I'm not sure if that occurred under the new team or the old team. But overall, it's a beautiful facility and kept very clean. It always seems to be a nice and calming environment. Communication is just lacking.

This community was nice but your loved one is assessed based off of points and as the needs increase the fees increase also. This makes you have to pay close attention to what all of the needs are to make sure that they are able to truly care for your loved one as the needs increase. The tour was nice.

Our family had an in person tour and at the time the community had no quite opened up yet but the person who gave the tour was very good.

The residents and the staff members at The Bristol community are very friendly and we enjoy the variety of activities they offer. They have different board games like Rumicube, different painting classes, craft classes and group discussions.

It's like a cruise ship that hasn't left the dock yet. The Bristol has done a very good job at adapting to the pandemic. It's a place for people who want to come in and be taken care of. The general staff is excellent.

Glenwood has had some turnovers within their staffing so sometimes they were forgetting to help our loved one get dressed, but the staffing has stabilized more and we do think they are trying their best given all the circumstances. The associate director who runs most of the things there is just fantastic, and the lady who interacts and mingles with the residents all day long is just wonderful, we absolutely love her. Unfortunately our loved one is not the biggest fan of the food and in return is loosing weight. The meals look appetizing enough, but it is just kind of bland. Our loved one is a big introvert so he does not take advantage of the activities, but we do know they have a lot going on. There is singing everyday and the even set up bowling in the main area. Right when we walked through the doors at Glenwood right away we noticed how nice it was, it is very attractive and the value for cost is very reasonable.

We chose Highgrove at Tates Creek because they were the cheapest when it came to the value for the money. The meals here are chef prepared and if you do not like what he cooks on the daily menu, they will cook you whatever you would like. Overall I would recommend to others looking.

The community is very good. They take good care of the residents. The staff has been fine to work with.

The community means well and the staff is very nice but there is a lot of turnover in the community. My loved one is happy and that's all that matters. The community is a couple of years old but it is very beautiful and cozy.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced assisted living facilities to operate at less than ideal circumstances. I had hoped that my mother could have combined a safe, protective living environment w/ the social life she enjoys. Ashton Grove is doing all it can to beat that expectation while keeping its residents as safe as possible from coronavirus outbreaks. The circumstance has meant compromising some of its daily services to its residents. Always, though, there is a sense of love and care that triumphs over the temporary compromises. It has been as good as one can expect w/ limitations forced upon it. But the leadership and staff have never been less than 100% caring, loving, and professional!

This community is not completed but attention given to me has been excellent.

Needs to continue improving food selection and quality at noon and evening meals. Ensure/improve accurate up to date prescription information to all CNA’s. Replace trash bins when trash picked up. Get fire alarm system fixed.

I have no complaints about the tour I had at this community. The staff where on time to our tour and made sure to give us a detailed look at everything they had to offer my loved one. It was just not the right fit in the end decision for my loved one.

The Glenwood was a very nice place, and everyone was very friendly. I am sure, for anyone looking for this location this would be a great pick. It would be about an hour drive in traffic for me and we were looking for something closer.

My tour of this facility went pretty well. From what I saw everything looked nice and clean. The staff was kind and courteous. They were informative and answered my questions. It was a nice tour, but not the place for my mother and her needs. This is nice community with kind people.

This was a nice community but the prices were a little higher than other communities. It was really expensive and did not have as many activities and things to do as another community that I was looking at and the location was also further. The community was not bad at all there was just another community that worked out better for my loved one.
