Making the decision to place your loved one in memory care is so difficult for many reasons one of which is trusting the facility that you choose. Grandbrook Garland has been a God-send to our family. We are there unannounced a lot and have NEVER seen any behavior that at all made us question that the residents are well cared for and treated like family with great respect. I love that the staff "plays along" with whatever is on the resident's mind that day. I have personally witnessed the staff hugging and just sitting hand holding with residents. I am also impressed with how quickly the staff learns every resident's names, traits and their family members. I am always greeted personally and often hugged by staff members. Our sweet Mimi is so comforted and often lights up when a staff member enters the room...and while the account of her day is typically not accurate due to her declining abilities, she clearly loves the staff and refers to them as her friends. We couldnt ask for a better crew to help us all through this journey. Well worth every penny!

Grand Brook and it's staff have bent over backwards to make the transition for my mother in-law as easy as possible.They have been nothing but compassionate and caring. We had looked several places before deciding on Grand Brook. We definitely made the right decision.

Stoneybrook in Garland is a caring, well-staffed, comfortable, and professionally-managed home for your loved one(s) who can no longer live independently. The staff members are kind and patient and very welcoming--to residents as well as visitors. They are responsive and aware. Mealtime might be noisy, but the food is tasty, nicely presented, and warm (but not too hot!). It is reassuring to see enough aides available to help those residents who need extra assistance while eating. Rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and fresh. Having more than one sitting area area means it's never too crowded or loud.

My mother has been a resident here for three years. Every day I give thanks for the wonderful care they give her. We chose this memory care home after visiting several. My mother loves the activities, the food, the parties, and family visits. This home places second only to her own home.

I brought my mom here a month ago. I said I would be happy if I could see her smile again. I see if everyday now! Thank you Stoneybrook!

Stoneybrook employees work hard to make this residence comfortable as can be. The staff plans parties and meetings so the caretakers can participate with their own persons. Excellent quality throughout.

A+ for the executive staff. The caregivers are all responsive to the clients, and I believe they care for each of them. We could not be happier with the care our mother has received there for the last three years. I would recommend Stoneybrook to anyone who is looking for a great memory care facility.

I have cared for all the parents so I feel like I figure some of what is said is just a part of sales. When I met with Jodie (marketing) she explained a wonderful place for my mother, in my experience I know there is no perfect place. After moving my mother in, I felt like I had found the perfect place. The staff is friendly, kind, patient and attentive to no only my mother but also to our family. The activities director is remarkable, she keeps the residence busy With creative ideas on my different levels of cognitive abilities. Mom is always clean, her room is clean and they look for ways to make sure ahe is accommodated with her interests and abilities. We are blessed

Excellent staff - very oriented to residents. We trust them at all times to take care of our mom. The residents are always involved with activities. They also have great entertainment.

My wife has been a resident here since Jan. 2009, before then she was in the country club types, another almost like a zoo - strong words but true. Thank God she is here, this is more than a loving compassionate place. This is her home, until she is called home.
