Constant Care Management

What our family likes the most about the Grand Brook Memory Care community is that it is specialized in memory care and it is a smaller community. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families.

These are my ratings to date - it is difficult to rate as this is the first time I have had a loved one in a facility and I have nothing to compare it to. However I would recommend the Grand Brook Memory Care of Grand Rapids to other families.

Good experience and will use them again. We picked this community, because it was relatively close to home and was impressed by what I saw. I would recommend to others.

They are taking good care of my loved one. The communication has been very good. I'm so happy I moved her. Love that the price is frozen and the staff has been great. I would recommend to other families.

My parent's experience at Grand Brook was in the middle of staffing issues, DON change, and no activities director for a few months. What I do think is that this facility is better than most. It is small and cozy feeling. India Glenn is the glue that holds the facility together. She is amazing, responsive, helpful, and always pleasant. I would recommend this facility over others in the area.

I really liked Grand Brook. I visited in the morning, and they had all of the residents up and together in the central living area, socializing with one another, and doing exercises according to their abilities. I liked that they made that effort to get the residents outside of their rooms. Ultimately our decision came down to location and convenience based on where we lived. The only reason I didn't give a 5 was because we had only toured and had no actual experience with a loved one living there.

It's a very nice place. Ipicked this community because I saw the pictures online and the price fit our budget.

Overall they have been decent, a few times have had to inform them of the cleanliness of her room. It has been the best place for her though, minus the few little things that could always improve. Great staff, very friendly and caring.

They were more advanced than my loved one needed. In addition the bathroom was shared and down the hall.

This community is a good place to send your loved one. The staff are very kind and compassionate with the residents. They have all kinds of games and activities for the residents to participate in.

I would use the facility again. I was very impressed that after his respite stay, my loved one came back strong, which I didn't expect. The staff was good overall, although we had a mix-up with a wheelchair when we left. But that was the only issue. And they worked with us and were cooperative until the issue was resolved. The physical aspects of the facility itself were excellent compared to other places that I looked at.

Had rooms for 2 people, however, none available at the moment. A possible room might open up in 2 weeks, but I can't wait that long (due to my parent's current facility shutting down). Had to pass.

The activities are really great and they have something going on all day every day. Communication is good between the staff and the family. They keep us well informed. They have zoom meetings you can attend for updates and they send us emails weekly. I would recommend this community to others and already have.

There have been a lot of staffing changes at Grand Brook. I think this community is a good place. COVID has made things more difficult for everything. This isn't due to the community, it is because of what we are dealing with now. Grand Brook was great from my perspective prior to COVID. The community had testing requirements of only once for visits to our loved ones in the community. They maybe changing this. They have suspended visits at this time. This Grand Brook didn't send me pictures of my loved one to me. I feel they lacked communication with families on their loved ones. They did make COVID requirements, and they send this daily to families.

I would recommend that people look at Grand Brook. It feels like a home instead of a big community. The entry area is large, but it is like a living room feel. It doesn't feel stale, it feels homey. The staff were great.

RATES FOR PRIVATE ARE $6300 - $6800. CLOSE TO OUR HOUSE. A LITTLE MORE EXPENSIVE THEN WHAT I THINK WE WANTED, BUT I THINK ALL MEMORY CARE IS GOING TO BE THAT WAY.

Loved the people here, but feel that the residents are very different than Mom.

My mother was at Memory Care of Little Rock for respite care, and overall, I feel it was a good experience. I really appreciated the way they were truly showing compassion for my mother. Their care really seemed genuine to me. I also liked that while my mother wasn’t very interested in participating in activities while she was there, they still let her be a part of things by having her help sweep up and fold the laundry. The food was just ok, but they did offer options for the residents, meals were nutritious, and portion sizes were good. Overall, I feel pleased with the services at Memory Care of Little Rock.

We toured this community and like that it was very new. The staff was nice and the staff. They offer activities for the residents. We would recommend that families tour this new community for the options for a loved one.

We have my loved one living at the community and the family is happy with the care he receives.
