The physical facility was very nice and our initial consultation with staff went very well. We liked the fact that they had a increasing level of care services to support my mother's decline in health. My first comment would be that our experience was significantly impacted by the Covid pandemic. This resulted in staffing shortages and reductions in care services. My second comment is that as health declines moving from single room to shared room is a big change.My mother was in both the memory care unit as well as the non memory care unit. I think it would be an exceptional facility for a senior with mobility however I don't feel, at least during the pandemic years that supervised care was substantial enough in the memory care side. One issue we had with the shared rooms in the memory care unit was that residents frequently would walk in to wrong rooms and my mother was constantly bothered by dementia residents coming in to her room and sometimes bothering her.

I think a problem is training and experience of staff. And as with many facilities, the food could be fresher and more nutritious. I would not recommend this facility for people who have high level care needs. If someone is independently mobile, it's okay. My mother had higher needs that were not met to my satisfaction.

Overall good service, the cost has gone up too much. We picked this community, because it was close to home, and the starting cost was affordable. I would recommend to others, for the service but the cost may not be sustainable long term.

Find out up front what the care actually looks like and what the costs are including end of life care. Our issues for my loved one were clouded by the Covid crisis and the care staff that were struggling with their work environment. My loved one caught Covid from the staff and died from it on [date removed].

I toured Junction City Retirement and Assisted Living. The facility seemed really run down. The manager was very nice and the residents seemed happy.

The facility is nice and the units are generously sized and well cared for. The management seems to be stretched thin and high staff turnover is worrisome. Property recently let one RN go and indicated that they have no plans to replace them which means that now there is only one RN at the facility to oversee all of the Assisted Living members as well as all the Memory Care members.

The food is poor quality. They have tons of carbs, and little protein. It does not seem fresh. They don't seem to have good communication. My advice to other famlies is to be on top the staff to get things done. Don't be afraid to speak up or complain.

This is a very nice community, due to pandemic the staffing issues are the primary concerns. They don't have enough staff to provide the hourly checks on the residents. However, this community isn't any different than another community due to the staffing shortages overall due to the pandemic. The community is open to listening to the family's questions or concerns that we may have about our loved one.

The community seemed disorganized and unkept due to the community painting the lobby.

I know my loved one fell and none of the staff checked on my loved one. My loved one had a huge bruise on half of their face. There was a shift change at 7, and I spoke to the head nurse and there was nothing reported about injuries. I ended up moving my loved one out of the community because of this and lots of other reasons. I even questioned which area my loved one was in. The staff would leave my loved one's kitchenette, and my loved one didn't know it was there or that belonged to them. My loved one needed to have food placed in front of them, or my loved one wouldn't be able to eat it. They let the residents choose their food, and my loved one kept choosing the same meals that weren't nutritious.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Simply felt that it may not a be a good fit for my mom's needs.

They are not very good at communicating. You have to take the lead on communication. My mom does not like the food, she says to repetitive and of poor quality. Take the time to do your research and if your loved one is independent this might be a good fit.

Don't be naive about the process. Make sure you have all your research and find out about the facilities beforehand. Have everything in writing and make sure you know who to contact if you need anything. the sizes of the rooms are adequate, and the food was very minimal and disappointing. The community worked with me to keep my parents together. I would recommend this facility as much as any other facility.

Good facility with some areas of improvement needed. Has a lot of staff turnover which confuses some residents with dementia. Food is generally okay but frequently runs out of sandwich meat and soup at mealtime. Some caregivers don't seem to be motivated; although there are a few exceptional ones. Caregivers (some) seems to lack adequate training in dealing with dementia among the elderly. Just tonight I was there for dinner they had no deli meats or hamburgers. They need to do a better job at managing the food orders.

The caregivers are very nice, and caring. They do not have much experience, and can make the process slow. Management needs work.

This property is aging, but lovely. Huge established trees and landscaping, and a very nice facility.

Cannot justify the $225 per month increase. The staff is great but no matter how dedicated they are, corporate gives the facility a big black eye with their greed. Corporate = 1 star Staff = 5 stars

My love one previously resided in this location and she was not happy. In fairness with the property, I liked the staff. They are very kind, attentive, but it doesn’t dissipate the issues that we unfortunately experienced. During the time that she was there she was not assessed properly. It affected the medication that was administered to her which resulted her to being immobile and was undergoing other symptoms. My love one is a pretty physically strong person and within 24hrs of being off that medication she was back to her normal self. We spoke with the staff and it turns out that person that assessed her was fired. I personally think that probably the administrative team could use some work.

I toured this community. I was not comfortable with the settings and the environment of this community. The staff were nice and caring and were able to answer my questions, Rooms have to be shared at this community. I would recommend that families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

My husband is there as he needs 24 hour care. It is a memory care and he is not like most of them there. I would move him if there was an alternative. He does not belong there. They are very nice and do care for him. I have no complaints there but I do not call it an assistant living as the residence are to far out of it. He has not found one who can carry on a conversation with him.
