The tour of this facility was very professionally , clean, up to date decor, menu was exciting and a plus is every one is on one level especially when you live in tornando alley!

We considered this community as we were looking for options. I liked that they had a meeting about Alzheimer's here. There were other places that were less expensive though. Also some of my interactions with the staff left me feeling less than confident. Some didn't seem to be very professional and some didn't seem to be very organized.

Cottonbloom Senior Living is a nice facility with very friendly and helpful staff. There are, however, a few things they could improve. They did not look in on my mother as much as I feel they should have. They were also supposed to help her get into bed, which they did not do very often. She also was not thrilled with the food.

My mother in law was not at Emeritus for very long as she died within month of moving in. But we were pleased with staff while she was there.

I have not visited the facility on Main Street. This rating is for the facility on DD Road, Senior Living. The care and attention that is given is outstanding. Lacey has met every request so far to help my parents feel at home. The staff is always smiling, cheerful, positive. I have stayed for two weekend visits now, and each time leave my parents feeling assured that they are in good hands, while giving them a little space to be independant. My mother is being spoiled and pampered with the attention that she receives. The facility always clean. This facility was perfect for my parents, being in a small town that they were familiar with, allows them their freedom to come and go while making sure that the basic needs are met. It was a perfect fit for my parent's needs.

My mom is not really that happy there. The food for the most part has been pretty good & her room is ok. The people who make her bed do a horrible job. She makes it herself or my sister & I do it. Her shower helper is getting a little better, but she shampoos her hair herself they just wanted to run a wash cloth through it, not shampoo. The med people treat her like a child & she doesn't appreciate that at all. She has Amedysis come in & treat her wounds, they do a great job. The nurse wants to move her level of care to a 4 now, because of wound care, but Callahan has not been taking care of her wounds.

The staff was very nice and they took good care of my mom. I would recommend to others.

The staff overall is very accommodating and go out of their way to help! They are always reaching out to invite my mom to activities.

I can't recommend them. They promised Dr visits frequently, but I had a very very very difficult time getting a doctors appointment for my dad. I'm not even sure he ever got his appointment. He died 8 weeks after moving in. Even though I canceled our contract in writing after he died, they continued to bill me for his room for several months. It got sorted out eventually but I didn't need the added stress. He was unhappy there and overall it was not a great experience. He begged me to go home, but he was recovering from a stroke so that was not an option.

Dad did not get regular showers or shaved. Residents were allowed to go into his room all hours of the night. Residents took his stuff that we would have to get workers to find such as his binoculars. His new electric shaver and charger was stolen which never was recovered. He couldn’t sleep at night for all the yelling and cussing. I tried to have the 30 day notice removed due to all of this. He moved out on [date removed] and they are trying to bill him for ALL of September and October. I asked for corporate phone number but have not received. If this does not get resolved I will post on their Facebook page as well as tell everyone I know of my dad’s bad experience

Staff is good and caring. Management is also very good. My mother complains about the food everyday. I've had several meals while visiting and each time it was horrid. I could not eat it.

It was a very good place for my mother. The staff were excellent in meeting the needs of my mother during her last days before her death at Cedar Ridge.

Caveat: this was to be a short term situation where mom could do some pt without being overwhelmed while she waited for Medicare to kick back in. She had broken both legs and was not fully recovered when she ran out of skilled nursing days. Her condition was closer to needing nursing home care than assisted living. She was not happy about being there and did not have the best of attitudes with the staff. Other residents seemed happy with the facility. I found communication difficult. I would leave messages for director who would forward to nurse to talk to me. It took a while for someone to contact me back. Nurse and I would agree on certain care that staff did not carry out. Mom did not like the meals and there were seldom alternatives offered. Mom spent 3 months in facility. She was allowed to develop bedsores. Mom had some issues that I think this facility was just not able to handle. She was transferred to hospital from this facility where she passed one month later. I have no ill will towards anyone at this facility, however I believe that the claims of care offered were not realistic for mom's situation. The facility seemed to meet the needs of other residents who were more mobile and self sufficient. There were positive things there and could have been more if mom's attitude had been different. However, it might be helpful for someone looking for a place for a person who is not mobile or self motivated that this might not be the place for them. Talking to the other residents, many of them were very happy and had made it their permanent home

This was not a good fit for our family. The activities director [name removed] was the only asset to this facility.

My wife had good care at The Grove at Midtown.

These are the known issues with my mom before she passed. They did not have her on the diet that the doctor wanted her on. Her records where incorrect, had her as a widow, she was not, also a lot of her medical records were wrong. I found this out meeting with the nurse over the facility, had an issue with the no staff on the 3rd floor, waited over 5 minutes to be let out.....after walking the floor to find someone. Residents where all alone in one room. I was told that the lady in charge of the facility would be contacting me about the issue, never received a call. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I feel that my mom would still be alive if they had been checking on her like they said they would.

They change the code to exit the facilities frequently, but they do not inform the family members of the new code. You have to track down a worker to get the code to leave the facility. Their call button, when the resident needs something, is real old. They cannot talk to the resident to see what they need. It usually takes 30 minutes to an hour before someone comes to the room to see what the issue is.

The independent cottage where he was before moving into the main building was absolutely fabulous and he liked it there a lot. The staff was dedicated but someone stole my loved one's army dog tags from where they were prominently hung in his room. It wasn't another resident since none of them went in his room. This has clouded my overall impression of the community.

I will say that I have no real basis for comparison on Assisted Living. However, I've had to correct so many mistakes that, unless a resident has an advocate, I wouldn't put a family member in any Assisted Living facility. I advocate for my loved one routinely. I am not moving him, so in that regard basic needs are being met at The Grove at Midtown Senior Living. One has to keep on top of your loved one's requirements. Generally, medicines get administered properly. There is irregularity in when cleaning/straightening up of rooms occurs. Sometimes the beds don't get made until late afternoon. Generally, individuals on staff are friendly, but they need more training, and there is high turnover. The food is just okay. The move-in process was quite bumpy. Communication with the residents' family members occurs if the family initiates it. I have many recommendations for improvement, but I doubt corporate would spend the money. I've been told this is one of the better places in Tulsa, so for that reason I guess I could recommend The Grove at Midtown Senior Living to others. But, it's a far cry from my expectations on how an elderly person should be attended to and cared for. Again, I'm not sure this is so different from other Assisted Living facilities.

I toured with Honeysuckle Senior Living and this was actually my first choice. I really liked that the facility was smaller. We ended up choosing a different facility because the rooms were much nicer and worked better for visitors.
