Commonwealth Senior Living

I was the person who arranged the admission, but it was for a family member being transferred there for hospice care. He passed away about a week afterwards. We were very pleased with the care. All the staff members were caring and compassionate.

We chose Commonwealth Senior Living at Kings Grant House because of the location, size of facility, cleanliness of both facility and patients, and the atmosphere of the facility. They are very caring, patient, and helpful beyond their duties.

We are very satisfied. We chose this facility over others because of the good vibes, affordable, and location Very caring, patient, and knowledgeable staff.

My dad has been here for about 4 months now. He needed more care than was provided at an assisted living facility he had been in. We were not thrilled about having to move him but it was the best thing for him now that I look back. Watch out if you move a loved one here because after a while you realize you've become part of the family! I know so many names of people who work here but also of other seniors and their families. They quickly assessed my dad and got him into a few therapies that have helped him greatly. He is moving more now than he had been at his previous residence. The staff that prepare and serve the food are amazing and do their very best to accommodate everyone's needs. From the time I walk into the front door until I arrive at my room,I have been warmly welcomed by the receptionist and all of the workers walking up and down the hall, not to mention the other residents and their families. The Techs and nurses aids are fantastic! They care for the people there.

The Administrators and Staff are very helpful, accommodating, caring, professional, knowledgeable, and flexible. They are concerned about the well-being of their residents. They go beyond the required to satisfy residents and family members.

After touring several facilities in the area and speaking with quite a few others it was determined my grandmother would be moved to Commonwealth with the option to stay or go. Turns out she is staying. I haven't seen her this happy or healthy in years. Previously she went to Manokin Manor in Princess Anne where she had to watch out for her things being taken, random residents entering her room, no privacy, and a constant rotation of employees. But we finally got it right with Commonwealth.

They have a great staff that is willing to help any way that they can to make your family member feel at home. I would recommend this facility to others.

I've found the staff to be very attentive to my sister and, she has been adjusting very well to her new surroundings. I was familiar with the facility when it was The Heritage. I actually think this is the best facility in the area. I would absolutely recommend Commonwealth to others looking.

The overall experience so far has been excellent and the people are receptive. aides are special, they're willing to assist anyway they can. The community is kept fairly clean and the friendliness of the staff is excellent. The care services is very good. When buzzed, it may take longer to respond when short of help. The food is very good. there are times when the meat is tough. The activities are excellent and it is fair pricing for assistance living. I've become more independent, still need someone to assist showering. I do want to say is that health care SNAs and med-techs work very hard and at times are overworked, underpaid and very much under . appreciated. i experienced this when I was in rehab after my stroke. all care institutions are experiencing the same problems especially when we. (as a patient in assisted living) when we wait for a long period of time for help to go to the bathroom.) because there is only one SNA on the floor. perhaps that problem will be solved someday.

5 for all. They have been fantastic. All of the staff has been very nice. The cook asked mom what her favorite food was and mom said Kentucky fried chicken. The next day at lunch he had gone out and got Kentucky fried chicken for mom. The facility is very clean the activities Director provides of variety of activities. [name removed], the administrator works long hours and fills in if they're short on staff. [name removed], the admission person also fills in wherever needed.

Commonwealth is a wonderful community. My mom is adapting well and has experienced all good. She really likes it there. These staff is super supportive. I gave a 4 on food because my mom says every once in awhile she doesn't care for the selection. Commonwealth offers transportation services to meet residents needs. They have a day set up for medical. A day set up for groceries or other shopping services. You just have to call the week before if needed the following week. Also initially I thought it was only 2 meals a day provided. Commonwealth provides all 3. My mom and I highly recommend Commonwealth it is a lot of value for your dollar.

Commonwealth is a beautiful facility, the staff is welcoming and supportive. It is one of the cleanest, well maintained facilities that I have ever been in! Communication with the family is good, they are always keeping me informed about my dad. The move in process was good. My neighbor moved my dad's furniture into his room. The room was clean, freshly painted and ready. The meals are well balanced and good. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

They have wonderfully helpful. I personally haven't been there but a lady that visits my sister in law says it's extremely clean. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. They treat my sister in law like family. She is clean and happy. They do lots of enrichment, crafts, dining out and even out to see the Christmas lights. If we had the funds we would keep her there permanently.

All 5 stars! The staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable. Room sizes and amenities offered in memory care have been excellent. I would recommend Commonwealth at Radford to others.

It is a wonderful place where all staff is friendly and kind. Meals are very good. We have been to multiple family nights and always enjoyed the food. It is the best value. Sure you may not have bells and whistles but it is clean, doesn't look like a rehab as most do, it is bright and cheerful.

Stay as far away from it as you can. I picked it because I wasn't able to come and check it out myself and I was not told the truth about it it was nothing like I was told. It does not have the elders care, as number one

We're in independent living so we don't get meals or activities! Main building is real nice though!Very clean, refurbed entire apartment and well equipped.

I would recommend to others. I felt my Mom was getting good care at Farnham facility.

The main reason we chose The Devonshire over others we looked into was because the location was good and overall compared to others it was our first choice. Everyone is friendly and they all know my mother in law by her name. I would definitely recommend The Devonshire to others looking.

This is a nice facility. It is modern and clean. The administration and staff are accessible and super-caring. Overall, this facility is a very good value for the money. They could use a little more variety on their meals.
