Very nice place. They can accommodate both parents in the same room. The staff were so caring. I Really liked it . And the price for both was reasonable.

This community is excellent, anytime I have been into this community everyone has a smile on their face, the resident always have a smile on their face. They do amazing job and the care they give to the residents there is second to none! I highly recommend this community to anyone that is looking for a forever home for there loved ones.

I'am very pleased with my mother's move to this community. She has settled into this community very well. I know she is safe and being cared for very well. The staff is good, they are great at keeping me up to date on information about my mother. She has even made some new friends with her move. Her room is nice and big. Their rates worked well with our budget. It has been a great experience. I would recommend this community to anybody that is looking for this type of care.

Commonwealth Senior Living of Charlottesville is a wonderful facility in whom I trust the care of my elderly parents. The site director, clinical coordinator, head of maintenance and the caregivers are all hands on in the care and welfare of their residents. They know their residents by name, know their family situations and work hard to help residents and their families transition into their new environment. We are pleased with the safe and caring place where both of my parents now live. A Place for Mom is an amazing group and my advisor listened to our needs and found this wonderful facility for my parents. She guided me through this overwhelming process, suggested what to look for in a facility, suggested questions to ask and was an overall strong support for me during this stressful and trying time. I could not have done it without her.

Our mom is 102 years old and up until Oct. 1, was living independently. However, after unexpected hip-replacement surgery she was facing the daunting reality of needing to move to an assisted living facility. This was just as daunting for my brothers and me, as we had never walked this path before. Without a clue as to how to proceed, I emailed "A Place for Mom" at 11:00 p.m. one evening. By 9:00 a.m. the following morning, which was a Sunday, I received a call from them! [Removed] was so very helpful. Her confidence and expertise calmed my anxiousness in our first phone call. And her willingness to actually listen to my concerns and expectations of an assisted living place helped me begin to believe that we really could "do this". Of all the assisted living facilities in the geographical location we were looking at, [Removed] recommended 2 that she felt would be a good fit for Mom, based on the information she got from our conversations (Please note the plural . . . [Removed] called frequently, just to see how things were going!!). Both places were the exact type of facility we were looking for and she saved us the time-consuming process of elimination of facilities that didn't meet our needs. [Removed] guidance as she prepared me for taking the tours was invaluable. She recommended what type of questions to ask and what to look for at each location. I cannot express the sense of relief as [Removed] help enabled us to walk through this "maze" and be successful in the end. I am happy to say that an apartment was available in our first choice of facilities and our mom is settling in nicely. A Place for Mom offers an invaluable service to families at a stressful time, encouraging, guiding and listening compassionately. I cannot thank [Removed] enough for her help and kindness.

Moving into Commonwealth has been a rewarding experience. I am settling in to a positive housing experience. The staff has been very helpful. Ginger Ragan , [Removed] the Project Supervisor and the rest of the staff have gone out of their way to make mine a smooth transition. Any questions or concerns I have had have been handled in a fast and courteous manner. Yesterday we had a Veteran's breakfast for Veterans Day and my picture was placed on the wall with the other Veterans living here. This made me feel very welcomed into the the Commonwealth family. Well most of my family lives nearby in Williamsburg living here gives me a sense of independence and I can take a nice nap when I want to.

I am very happy with the care the employees show for every resident. This is the second Assisted Living Facility my Father has been to and here they get him out of his room to participate in the activities. He is definitely happier here. The nurses are always very happy and make a point of making us feel welcome. His room is always neat and because they are aware of his problem with falling they check on him more often, He loves the food and the attention he gets!

Very clean with great amenities and support, helpful staff and a feeling of home in the rooms. It's situated on the MetroHealth Campus with doctors, dentists, shops, restaurants, and many other businesses within short distance. Lots of activities on the calendar appealing to a wide variety of personalities.

Love this place. Clean, friendly and a homey atmosphere. I can relax because I know my husband is getting quality care! Thank you Crystal Springs!!

My aunt has lived at Whispering Woods building #8 for a year now. My aunt receives excellent care, and of all the facilities we toured, I am happy we chose Whispering Woods. We are treated like a family here. If you are looking for your loved one, be aware of their needs while choosing a community.

My father has not been in the Commonwealth Assisted Living long enough for me to give a fair review yet. He went there [Removed]. So far he is happy there and we think the ladies that work there are very friendly and helpful. He was moved from another Assisted Living Community and I thought that one was very good at first but ended up being very disappointed. I would like to wait a little longer before I give my opinion.

My mother in law is doing great there The people are very friendly and try and make it like home for everyone , They have helped us help her with everything

I feel that my mom is getting the right care and is safe at this community. They do a good job cleaning the place. The staff are very friendly and I sense that they care about the residents. I like all the people and they know everyone's first name. They have activities to keep them busy, like bible study. Once a month they have a family night with dinner and activities. It is a brightly lit with people walking around. This place is wonderful.

Leaving the country and knowing that my mother was left in good hands gave me a peace of mind. They communicated with me very well there were no bad calls. My mother enjoys the meals that are provided for her. I would definitely recommend this place they have been doing a great job with their services. The activities are above and beyond they are the best!

From the initial phone care to the very end, the entire staff were helpful, caring and courteous. They really treat every person like family and that was beautiful to witness.

Very impressive. The person we met with was very willing to provide information even though Elmcroft did not appear to be a good fit. Staff was friendly and busy. Residents were out and about, busy and socializing. That was encouraging. We were looking for independent living but for assisted living it appears to be an excellent option.

I liked seeing this community and I thought this is a really good place. It appeared clean and nice. Since it was later in the day there was not much activities happening. However, I saw some residents in the dining area and they were friendly to chat with. The staff all seemed to be courteous and respectful.

My dad is doing okay and he is still trying to get use to his new home. The staff are good help and recognizing his personality. I have no complaints about the staff but they could improve on washing clothes. My dad does not eat a lot but I think the food is good and they give him options if he does not like what is being served. There are plenty of activities to try out.

This was a very lovely community. The tour guide was very informative. They offered me a complimentary meal that was good. The community was very clean and there was no odor. The interaction between the staff and residents was great.

My mother received excellent care while at Crystal Springs Assisted Living. Of the several facilities we toured, their rooms were more spacious, comfortable, and easily personalized - along with being far less expensive. Staff was professional, caring and compassionate. The staff was quick to listen and respond to the few concerns we had. Food was good quality and lots of fresh varieties for snacking. Worked well with hospice to provide for end of life care - for both my mother and our family. We were treated like family.
