Everyone is super friendly. Super clean. Wonderful food. Fun activities. Wish my parents could be home but can’t be so this a great place for them! Love it!

Buchanan Meadows hominess feel is just what is exactly what is missing in so many other assisted living facilities. As soon as you walk in you feel like your right at home. The staff is always helpful and friendly and everything is clean and fresh smelling. The food at the Meadows is amazing and home cooked. They do their best to accommodate even the pickiest of eaters. The activities are age appropriate and actually things that residents enjoy. Of all the things that I could say about Buchanan Meadows I feel the one that matters the most is the staff truly loves and cares for their residents. They always do their best to care and protect them.

Our mother moved to CSL this summer & has adjusted very well. It is such a relief to know that all of her needs are being met by such wonderful people. We especially appreciate [name removed] for keeping the Memory Care Unit a lively and energetic place. Mom has made new friends & enjoys being there. [Name removed] is great at setting up little art groups, & [name removed] is especially helpful in many ways. The young lady that manages medication ([name removed] or [name removed]?) is wonderful as well. We appreciate everything!!

My mother finished her life at Stratford House. During her final two years there, she had no complaints. She loved the food, the help, the care, the grounds and her fellow residents. Thanks to all for an outstanding facility.

Well it's been almost a year that my dad has been at Prestige Commons and I can say it's been a blessing for me and him. Where he was at he was paying for extra care. But still didn't do anything. Here everyone has been great. Getting him to join in all kinds of activities. I know he's where he needs to be. And a much better quality of life. They don't freek out when something happens, and in the memory unit things do come up. They know how to work and talk to the resident. Like I said it has been a Blessing for me knowing he's in good and kind hands. I live on other side of the State. So dealing with things long distance, the staff has made it a lot easier. So a Thanks to the staff at Prestiage Commons, Chesterfield, MI. And a thanks to A Place for Mom for helping me find it. In my book it's a win win all the way around.

My mother in law has been with Whispering for a few years. She started in Independent and we loved her being on a campus with people her own age, activities, and lunch included. She was starting to not really cook for herself as much, and was not heading to Church as often as she was before. We loved seeing her have a sense of community again. She has since moved into Assisted Living and we are happy that she is getting more care now that she really needs it.

My mom loves her “little house” at Buchanan Meadows! She says it feels like home. I think this because this assisted living is very different than others I have seen. Residents are encouraged to do daily routine type activities if they so choose: washing dishes, sweeping floors, etc. she loves the fact she can go into her own private room when she wants. Care givers are always around and interact with residents as if they are part of a family. The only thing I wish is that caregivers stayed longer. Sometimes we see new caregivers that don’t stay very long

Great Care! Great Food! Keeps residents engaged.

I can highly recommend Elmcroft of Chesterfield for both the Assisted Living and the Memory unit facilities. My father was extremely well taken care of on the Assisted Living part. The staff from the top on down was capable, caring and eager to please often anticipating things before we or my father could ask. Lots of activities and good food. On the Memory side my mother is extremely happy and pleased with her care. The staff often would put my parents together at functions without our asking and it made them very happy. My family and I highly recommend Elmcroft of Chesterfield.

We had been caring for mom at home for 2 1/2 years and we were wearing out. We were so nervous to take her somewhere because we knew all the nuances of her behavior and she has advanced Alzheimer’s. We love Prestige Commons and feel like it was a good fit because in spite of her not making any sense, she is a very social person. Prestige worked very hard to help her adapt when she is not an adaptable person by nature. They’ve worked hard to get her to participate in activities. It really has been a good move and we continue to be pleased with her care.

Beautiful! The staff was happy and caring! Lovely surroundings outdoors as well as indoors.

My mother lived at Whispering for many years, we enjoyed the area, especially in the fall when the leaves started to change. She has passed, but sometimes we like to still drive by because she always considered it "home". Glad to see it is still there and has a community.

I think the staff really try to meet the needs of the patients and treat them well. I'm sure it's not an easy job. The food on Family Dinner night has been very good.

I recently visited this facility last week and was able to meet with the Executive Director, she informed us that she has been with Whispering Woods for over 5 years. We toured the Memory Care and were very impressed by the calm and gentle nature. I would be very happy to have my father here. Sounds like there are many improvements coming as well, looking forward to see what these are. Love the exclusivity of the buildings and nature.

I like living here very much. The staff are great, I've made lots of friends. They keep me busy with Wii Bowling, Arts and Crafts where we make jewelry that I can wear. Meals are very good which is a great thing since I love to eat. I really don't need help with everything, but staff are always willing. My suite is spacious and cozy, I am right at home. I enjoy watching Cindy Griffith in the movie theatre with one of my friends and I really enjoy the popcorn. I even have the farmers market once a week to go to right in my own front yard.

I feel safe and comfortable at First and Main, the aides are always around if I need them. My suite is always clean, my laundry gets washed and returned without any issues. I still have my own home, but I choose to live at First and Main because I enjoy living here. When I came, I needed help with everything, but they signed me up for PT and OT and I fully recovered and can take care of myself.

My mother in law was here with hospice, she was very comfortable.

my dad is in the memory unit. LOVE it. They take very good care of him. He is participating in so many things that he didn't in his last place. They know how to encourage everyone to take part. With the memory unit things can come up. The staff knows how to handle it. I'm not getting a panic call cause they don't know how to handle it, like his other place. It has eased my mind on his care. I live on other side of state. And I'm kept well informed on what's going on with his care. Could't be happier with this place.

Our family toured in late November last year and stopped back in last Tuesday as our search is getting more serious. Wow has the campus really bloomed and shows better than the winter months. We were happy to see employees that were here last time we visited. Our family is looking for a community that has employees that have been with the facility for some time, high turn over facilities are a big red flag to us. Building 8 Memory Care is what we are interested in and every time we have visited there is a large activities group happening in the center of the building, last time it was balloon toss and this visit was exercising. Great to see that the set schedule for activities is consistent and residents looked happy. I think we are narrowing down our search and Whispering Woods is in our top 3 choices.
