They were generally on top of things. The care was very good. Overall, I would recommend to other famlies.

Great place for care. Would put myself there. They could use more help with nursing staff 24/7.

For the most part this has been a good experience. There have been glitches; however, I believe this is because of a change of management. This is a good place, and the community is smaller. I feel the residents get more individualized attention here. I heard they have hired a new chef. The food can be hit or miss. I wish the meals could be better for my loved one. There should be more activities for the residents to participate in.

So far we're pretty happy with them. I would like more communication. But overall, they're very good. Everybody is super friendly and nice. It always appears clean when we go to visit, and there are only odors every once in a while.

Smaller community and that was good. The care my loved one received was great. The value we got was great. The communication was not really that great but did improve towards the end. I would recommend this community to others.

The facility seems very nice. It is assisted living and memory care. We weren't as impressed with the memory care wing. It seemed more hospital atmosphere. They prefer to have residents in the common area,so it easier to keep an eye on them. The dining area does not have structured seating. We didn't feel that this would be a good fit for Mother.

The staff at this community are good, however there was one mix up with mom's medicine. The food is home cooked and excellent. They keep the community clean. The only issue I have is that there is not a lot of activities in the assisted living area. They only play bingo every afternoon. I would recommend this community to someone that was not looking for an active environment.

I like how most of the residents get along. I didn't expect that. I wish that the employee turnover wasn't so constant. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families. I know my brother in law is being cared for.

Good location for residents that don't need skill nurses. Nursing staff was only during the day. Cleaning of residents bathroom was limited. Staff was friendly. I would only recommend them under certain situations.

I would want to tell families to keep a handle on any money that their loved ones keep in their room. Money that my dad had in his wallet that he kept in his room "grew feet." I would suggest money be kept in a locked box that only the family and loved one has access to.

I was not there everyday, but when I was they served hot dogs or brats with potato chips. Staff was very nice. The facility always looked clean. My mother's bathroom was never clean. After she fell three times, she got bad and hospice was contacted. First fall she broke some ribs, second fall she broke her hip. After she got out of rehab she returned to Reed City Fields. Not long after, she fell again. Hospice was contacted. My sister's and I decided to move her to a different facility, she passed two days later. I think if there was added training maybe I could recommend Reed City Fields.

[name removed] was an angel by our families side. Always greeting us with a smile , hug and listening ear . Her gentle kind spirit created trust and assurance to meet our individual needs. Her presence is a gift to the community . Thank you dear one for your integrity and grace.

She greets me with a hug and a smile, always listening with a smile and a commitment to action for what ever I have concerns about. She has been my rock and foundation . Her presence is a blessing to this community. I am forever grateful to have her .

We toured The Pines of Goodrich Assisted Living and Memory Care when searching for an Assisted Living facility for my loved one. Our tour guide was great, very good with talking to my loved one. The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly.

My dad did not want to leave home, so that interfered with the overall experience. The facility was always clean. They kept you informed of any health concerns, ie falling, but never called just to tell me he had a good day which I would have appreciated. He was only there 2 months before he passed. He never really got used to being there.

It's an okay facility, but I wish we would've spent more time touring other facilities in the area prior to her arrival. My loved one, doesn't feel like their carpet is clean enough. The staff on the floor, are very nice to my loved one and to our family when we are visiting. The staff members who interact with my loved one are very nice and is pleased with how they treatthem. No signs of my loved one being mistreated. The family encourages my loved one to eat in the dining room to avoid being in the room all day. I would like to see more daily activities to have available. While I understand that costs of every thing goes up it's hard to justify more money when on a limited budget. Also, It's very obvious that the facility is showing signs of poor facility maintenance. Would like to see some pride taken in the appearance of all sides of the facility not just the front.

We have not been happy with Hampton Manor of Shelby. There is not enough care given to details. There are not enough activities. The dining experience is very poor. When I would talk to the head nurse about issues, she was combative.

When it comes to the activities and based on what our loved one is saying, they do offer bingo for the residents.

The person responsible for touring was not well prepared and could not answer some important questions. The facility does not offer a full range of activities and services for residents. Many rooms overlook a parking lot.

This is a nice memory care facility that has possibilities.
