This facility has gone through a complete remodel and it is gorgeous. I can't believe the updates and how different it looks. The staff are so nice and helpful too. The administrator is very helpful and will do anything for our family. Check it out.

Our family just loves it here and my Dad is so happy. He loves the food and a few of the staff have become his favorites. We have had no problems since day one and we feel my Dad is getting really good care.

Vassar is a small town and when you walk into Vassar Comfort Care, you really feel like you are home. The building is so clean and all the residents looked amazing. They were doing a craft when we came in and they all seemed to enjoy the social hour. You need to go see this place. It will not disappoint you!

The owners did not leave one stone unturned in the build of this community. Holy Moly is it gorgeous! We were greeted at the door and had a wonderful tour. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a beautiful, friendly environment, you should most definitely go here.

Our family has had a great experience over at Shields. It is not a huge place and everyone is always so friendly. We get our concerns taken care of and the communication has been awesome. We are a big family with a lot of idea's and they never seem bothered by all of our suggestions.

WoW! sums up our experience. Totally remodeled and the company did a great job. The administrator was so friendly and she knows her building inside and out. The staff appear to be very friendly and it was so nice to see several staff just talking to residents. I had a wonderful time visiting.

August Haus is such a great home environment. As soon as you walk in the door, it feels like home. The rooms are really nice, the staff was so friendly and the management staff all stopped to say Hi. I just love this place and happy we placed Mom here.

Very nice place and everyone seems so happy. The staff have been great and inviting. The setting is also very nice and quiet. Our family has had a great overall experience. I would recommend you take a tour for yourself.

Very friendly staff and they really care about their residents. The Administrator is very helpful and will do anything to assist with any needs. The food is excellent - Mom really likes that. We are blessed to have found them - would highly recommend this cozy place.

The staff are very friendly and try to encourage those that live there to get involved in the different activities. Love the new administrator.

We feel very lucky to have been at the community. I tell everyone that I meet that this is a good community. The staff were good to work with. The meals were being delivered to the resident's rooms. The food was a lot of prepared meals and not as home cooked as they could have been. There were nurses on each shift and this was a big plus for us.

Beautiful building on one floor set back from the road in a beautiful area. No elevator to confuse the residents about what floor they are on Turkeys and Deer roam around the grounds. The community is secure so even though mom doesn't need memory care, we don't have to worry about her wandering off. The staff are professional, caring and feel like family. The residents have many fun activities and entertainment to participate in.

I will be always missing my mom. On [date removed] my last moments with her at 82 yrs old. The Lord has scooped her up to be with him forever. May she now be at peace. The medical assistants at Bavarian Comfort Care have been wonderful through these last days and also are extra special with my dad. Thank you all. The hands on touches we get from [name removed] the RN is very tuned in to her residents extra special knowledge of each of her patients/residents. She can help you know what you family member needs. The director of the facility is also right there when you need her, and is open and honest and really helpful with you to help you with your family’s needs. For me I have had both my mom and dad there. Now my momma is in a better place in heaven.

This is a hard thing to go through and it really helps to have support from the community you choose. The aides here are so wonderful and responded to what mom needed. This is an outstanding community the people there are very welcoming and sincere. The food is great also dad tries to eat with here when he can and they even said he was welcome there also. Its always clean and the grounds are maintained. I would definitely refer people here and to use a Place for mom.
