My family member currently resides at Landmark and is looking to find a better assisted living place. Three days in a row, they shorted him several of his medications because they ran out of stock. That could be dangerous! When he presses the "call for help" button, the staff takes up to an hour to respond, which could be too late in the case of a medical emergency. When he makes a request or asks a question, often they don't get back to him. Dinner is served around 4:45pm, and breakfast is served at 6:45am ... a 14 hour stretch between meals! They don't make much effort to accommodate my family member's special dietary needs. There are roaches ... I caught one and showed it to the front desk staff. The upsides of the community are: it offers activities for residents, the staff is friendly to visitors, and the common areas are nice. Landmark is supposed to be one of the better assisted living places, so my family member worries he won't find a good quality place elsewhere, either.

My Mom has been here for over 6 years and because she is afraid of change she continues to put up with poor care and mismanagement. I think I have FINALLY talked her into a move because is just keeps getting worse and worse!

We moved out because of disagreements. Very poor management. The place was fairly good for the conditions that my brother needed, but they had problems in handling the residents. They had severe employee turnover particularly in the management. The food was only fair.

I was working at a place called The Landmark and was dedicated to making a positive difference there. I had an idea that I believed would help the facility bring in more residents, so I decided to reach out to [name removed], the CEO. We had a great conversation, and he seemed genuinely happy with the plan I suggested. He even agreed that it would be a great way to improve our facility. However, just a few hours after that conversation, I got a phone call from [name removed]. To my surprise, she was incredibly rude and, without any clear explanation, informed me that I was being terminated from my position. I was shocked and confused. Up to this point, no one had ever mentioned any issues with my performance or conduct. I had been working hard and trying to help improve the company. Prior to this, a woman named [name removed] had falsely accused me of something I didn’t do, and I couldn’t help but feel that this accusation might have played a part in the decision to terminate me.

My brother moved to the Collier from his home where he lived alone. He is wheelchair bound and needed assistance with activities of daily living. Collier claimed to have 7 to 12 min response time by the aide staff for assistance and advertised daily happy hours. During MOVING DAY conversation with sales he was told that residents were not allowed to have alcohol in private apartments and it would be stored in the bar and served at happy hour only. This regulation had not been disclosed to us nor was it listed in his contract!! So he can’t have a beer watching his TV? When I confronted sales and mgmt on this non disclosure they basically didn’t care and became confrontational. The sales response was “you didn’t ask”! Also Aide response time was poor, often 15 to 20 min. We were denied any refund and moved out a week later.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Collier at Naples and the experience and the care at this facility were horrendous. Nobody was happy at this facility, everyone that I spoke to wanted to move their loved one.

My Husband was here for 6 days. He came in on a Friday, it was not what I expected a memory care to be. There was no activities scheduled the whole time he was there. By Tuesday I called Hospice to evaluate him. They came and by Thursday he was taken to Bayfront Hospice, where I was told he was so dirty and asked me if I wanted his clothes he was brought in which smelled so bad. I didn’t. He died in March. Please tell people my experience. Thank You.

We had a bad experience at The Pointe. They seemed to be understaffed. Some employees were not focused on their job. They were not giving timely attention to the residents. The biggest problem we faced was my loved one needed help eating, and they were not assisting her with that. They seemed to do well with residents who did not need as much care.

This was the worst place I have ever seen for not caring, filthy, and negligence. I wouldn't recommend the community to anyone, it was a terrible experience. Don't expect medications to be given to the residents, as they never provided my loved one with their medication needed on a daily basis. The staff weren't good when I had questions or concerns. They didn't respond to phone calls. They didn't even make the doctor appointments that were supposed to happening for my loved one.

Sadly there is has been alot of staff turnover. Still a few excellent caregivers but most are untrained and uncaring. Minimal supervision on memory floor. Minimal activities if any

Found my mom wet many times. Left in her room, missing meals Sitting in her room alone wet. Dirty diapers let on table and floor. Staff turn over heavy. Fired anyone with experience and hired kids that were not trained when they were used. This is only for independent living and they will run you off if you get past that point. To the point of sharing medical info they are not suppose release. In my case they released info that was wrong and made it harder to move because of the bad information. This place is run poorly!

I had to move my Dad out of here after 3 months, because they were nickel and dime-ing us to death. They were charging him for just about everything, including bringing his meals to his room or pushing him in his wheelchair to the dining room. They would add charges to the monthly bill that he never received. They tried to charge him for a portable nebulizer that he refused, at the price of $1200.00!! We got a bill for nearly $7,000.00 for one month!! They never contacted me about these outrageous add-ons and I had to meet with them and go over every single item that he was being charged for, and make them remove nearly half of them. If we had stayed there, our bank account would have been completely drained in about 3 months. I moved him to another facility that was so much better! The room was bigger, the food was better, the nurses and the management were nicer and they promised me that there would be no surprises on the monthly bill without consulting me first. Unless you have unlimited funds, and money to burn, I would NOT reccommed this place.
