I would recommend

We have been overall happy with our experience at the Landmark. We are able to go in now and visit loved ones which is really nice. The only complaint I have is that it seems like they are short staffed but that could be due to the pandemic. I think it would be nicer if the staff could facetime with families more often, like once a week per resident so we could see them more often. I think that things will get better as they start having more activities and opening things up. I would recommend to others looking, it is clean and the food was very good. they have a menu that you can choose.

I would recommend

We chose The Landmark because the first point of contact I had was excellent. It was very organized and they were just very helpful in helping us navigate the process. The room sizes here are nice compared to others we looked into. They have been good with communication and I would recommend them to others looking.

Smaller commuity

The room sizes are fantastic. The staff is good. It is a smaller community. They don't have a lot of activities or go to a lot of places with the residents.. It is a clean place. The food is good. The bigger meal is served at lunch.

Pretty Good Comminity

They are a pretty good community. The activities are lacking. They lost their director and my parents wish there were more activities. Food is better. Now because of the pandemic they are bringing the food to their rooms and sometimes it is cold. Rooms are good size. The have an outdoor courtyard. I would recommend Atria to a friend.

Like the size of the facility. It was clean, didn't have an odor, bad or otherwise. All the residents looked cared for and clean. [Name removed] knew everyone's name and everyone smiled and said hello as I toured. The biggest issue my brother and I have is we will not personally guarantee payment which it alludes to in their contract. This is probably a standard part of any contract with an ALF. I'm sure they've had children spend their parents money instead of paying the bills. That said my dad will need to sign, when his money runs out Medicaid will need to step in.

+Lovely ground floor; open space including large light filled diningroom. Bedrooms on the small size so sharing may be a tight fit even for just a small bed, chair and dresser. Used to be a hotel: the rooms still resemble that past. Small closet to share disappointing. Bathroom big enough for a wheelchair. Residents were doing some activity in the dining room with supervision which was great to see. Good disaster plans. Staffing good.

Nice place. I like that memory care is on ground floor. There is an outside area that they wander in and be safe.

Not a good fit...

My first impression of the Arbor Oaks at Greenacres was good the second not so much. It is nothing against the Arbor oaks, it is personal preference. I'm sure this place would be a good fit for someone else.

Excellent in almost every way

When we started looking for assisted living facilities near Palm Harbor, we reviewed and visited 8-9 different ones. Many of their features were equivalent; for example, the room sizes and amenities were similar in most cases, as were the dining facilities. We settled on our #2 choice, Horizon Bay Clearwater (now Brookdale Safety Harbor) based on 2 of our criteria - closeness to our home and cost (our #1 choice was $1000/month more expensive.) We give very high marks to almost every aspect of Safety Harbor. The ONLY area that we felt was less than excellent was the way in which the different staff/departments coordinated with one another in cases where the resident needed non-standard attention. We give a bit of a pass here because of the ongoing merger with Brookdale. Also, the week we moved Dad in, the executive director was absent due to a training meeting, and the head nurse was out on a critical day in Dad's care - no one's fault, just the ball taking a funny bounce. Likewise, the less than excellent rating for the activities is more of a reflection of how they fit Dad's needs than on the quality of the activities themselves or the dedication of the staff. For example, Dad, is a dedicated walker, and it is not realistic to expect the facility to accomodate his capacity for a daily 3 mile jaunt. But his needs are also not met by chair aerobics. If Dad's future is in memory care rather than assisted living we can accept that. However, in that case we MAY have to find a facility that has more secured outdoor walking space (there are 1 or two in the area) If your loved one falls clearly within the assisted living or memory care category, you will be very happy with Brookdale Safety Harbor. If you have futher questions, contact us at [removed]

I found the facility to be concerned for the residents. Responsive to the residents needs. Of course there is always an adjustment on both parties. Which can cause some tress for both staff and the residents. All issues are addressed when reported but over all this is a great place for those who need to have the help when the extended family can't do what is needed.

I would recommend Regency Park for your loved one.

I love that the facility is small and the residents get to know each other early on and take the new resident "under their wing." The food is prepared by a Chef which is excellent. Full 3 meals a day, plus snacks, is more than adequate. The friendliness of the staff is awesome and caring. The only issue I have had is having to follow-up on medical issues that needed to be taken care of: getting the flu shot, getting toe nails cut; I had to ask several times. The activities are plentiful but getting the resident there seems to be lacking. My relative has not attended one in 2 months. Other than that, I would highly recommend this Assisted Living/Memory Care Facility.

Highly Reccomended!!

Horizon Bay Clearwater has been working very well with my friend. The staff are very vigilant they make sure that he is comfortable and that his care needs are being met. The community is clean and up-kept at all times. The food is great it's tasty and very healthy the portions are very good as well. He is still having a little trouble getting adjusted to the community but overall everything has been great.

Toured, seemed like a nice place

We toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. I thought Brookdale Countryside was a very nice looking place. It had a very upscale, social feel to it. The employees I met all seemed friendly and professional. However, I don't think it was quite the right fit for what my loved one was needing at the time.

Food Is Poor

I think that they are great. it has been a very positive experience. The staff has been tremendous. The negatives are the food though. It is not up to my standards at all. As far as the care, I think that there are certain staff members that could do better about keeping the patients tended to, cleanliness-wise and that sort of thing. The big thing is the food though
