Main dissatisfaction is their inability/reluctance to accommodate my sister's diet related to her diabetes. I would recommend it. One of its advantages is that the monthly cost does not increase if the resident needs additional care over time

Everyone on the staff was excellent - except for one person who dispensed the medication in the morning. She doesn't have a friendly attitude. And she wasn't helpful when questioned. The night time girl who dispensed medication was excellent. If the morning girl was as good as the night time one my rating would be a 5 on staffing.

The facility does not smell when you go through the front door. The staff is very helpful and good with the residence, especially in the dementia memory care section.

Unfortunately my mom's stay there was very short, only 2 weeks before she passed away. The administration director was great, during mom's first week I would call her and she would keep me updated since they wanted to have a chance to get mom accustomed to her new surroundings and not have me going to see her to soon. Mom was also under hospice care and I was getting calls from them too. The financial impact, this isn't cheap, caring for an elderly family member at one of these facilities is expensive. I tried to continue taking care of her for as long as I could because I knew how expensive this would be but I was practically on my own and it was affecting me emotionally and physically more than anything. The high cost

The lobby is open and airy. There is no bad smells and it's got a lot of natural light, which I appreciate

The staff is super easy to get a hold of. The nurse calls me back if she doesn't pick up. Same with the Activities Director usually. The value for the money is very, very good. I now have three more relatives who literally left their last place and have now also moved in to Colliers. I thought the food was delicious but my mother tells me that they changed the cook and she says the food is not as good anymore. I cannot provide you a confirmation on that yet until I have another meal over there.

The facility is clean and the administration is professional. The memory care section I give it a 2. They need activities and a makeover of the memory side of the facility.

To my knowledge they are the only facility that has a Transitional care floor that was a memory care floor my father could stay with my mom

I am so glad we found Arbor Oaks. Is it perfect? No...nothing is going to be perfect when dealing with a dementia patient But at least here many of the aids actually do CARE about your loved one. All I know is this...I can sleep at night knowing (for now) that she is safe. She is clean. She is being cared for. She is eating. And honesty folks, that is all you can ask for. At the very least she should be clean, in a clean safe environment and being fed. The other place she was she had none of that. And on "a place for mom", the dismal place she was formerly at has a higher score..go figure. Trust your instincts and do your homework. Always remain your loved one's advocate. Expect a few bumps in the road as this is normal transitioning. Here is what you should NOT expect: Do not think you can just drop off your loved one and never come back or come back monthly. You HAVE to remain on top of things. And why wouldn't you?? I will forever advocate for my Mother regardless of where she is.

I chose Wickshire for my mom because they had a couple employees who spoke Spanish and for me it was important to have someone she could talk to when she needed help. She was also with Treasure Coast Hospice and while at Wickshire their nurses would see her and keep me updated. Unfortunately mom's condition was getting worse and she was at that facility for only two weeks when she passed. Her passing had nothing to do with the care she received, it was just God's will and her time to go. I would recommend Wickshire, even though mom's time there was short I could tell that the other residents were well taken care of. The manager of the memory care unit was very nice and would answer any questions that I had. Many of these facilities are quite expensive and not many people can afford to pay for them and have to struggle to pay. I cared for mom until I couldn't anymore, my mental and physical health was being affected. I thought that maybe she would be there for at least 6 months as per the cost but God had another plan.

If you put your loved one in any ALF it's best to check on them often and staff because things get missed. It's also good to put certain notes up in their rooms so the staff can understand where things go etc.. At this place they went through staff changes for a while because of new ownership. So it's important for caretakers to get to know the staff, know their names, their schedules. I still think in this place the weekend staff is weak and somewhat lackadaisical. Leadership on the weekends needs improvement.

Mom moved into memory care from home I was surprised at how all she adjusted to being there. She liked being around other people and the facility is small enough where it’s not too disorienting. That was the reason I picked it in particular as opposed to the larger fancier places where I knew she would be lost when she left her room. The staff seems very nice. Most important I always find her clean. Her room is kept clean and neat. The facility is well maintained even though it is older.

We went to our first visit just to have something to compare with facilities closer to me, but the staff was so warm and inviting. The residents were gathering downstairs for bingo and they were also invited pleasant. It felt like family. The place is small enough that everyone seems to know everyone. My brother loved the food and there must be plenty of it because he doesn’t eat the snacks I bring anymore. The staff has done everything they can to make the transition comfortable There have been some growing pains with the meds but I’ve been assured that will be resolved.

Since my mom got there the marketing director quit, a new financial person & nurse had just started and I just heard they fired the executive director! Better communication with family members is needed. We had some growing pains when my mom got there and if I did not have private caregivers with her I would not have known what was happening. All in all it is a decent place. You just need to make sure the staff knows what your loved one needs.

It's memory care so hard to really do activities. It's expensive but all inclusive so that makes it a good value. I would recommend Wickshire.

The van to bring them to Walmart, doc appt ect...has not been used/moved since my dad has been there the last 6 months. However, based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.
