I took my husband out about a year ago . They were raising the prices too much. They lure you in with savings and then begin raising the price once you're in there. People just can't pay it.

The one-to-one personal care giving the most important for the residents. Yes, new windows, siding, and decor matter but Most important is well paid, abundant staffing. Please focus on enough or more Staff their pay, and advancement

If you are working with [removed] to try to receive VA Aid and Assist benefits, beware that Pinecrest will not sign the Facility form to turn in to the VA to receive benefits. The meals are terrible. Only once in a while are they good. My mom has lived there for three months and has yet been able to do her laundry because the washers are always in use leaving me the expense and time to do it. For all that is supposed to be included, you do not get what they tell you you are getting. The place is beautiful but they are renovating it to make it even more expensive.

I have been at a retirement facility for over 3 years. It was recently bought by Cogir. The change that disturbs me the most is that Cogir is cutting costs in ways that impact residents. I could list several examples but I want to keep this short. One of their most obvious cost-cutting actions is demonstrated by the fact that food service constantly runs out of basic items. Examples: yogurt, tea, juice, fresh fruit, and, most notably, the main entree at dinner. Moreover, now the facility is almost always short-staffed.

The staff is okay. They don't really seem to go out of their way. They don't greet you or acknowledge you when you come in. They don't seem to be too proactive. My Dad said that the the food is not as good a quality as his previous location and they don't put out much for snacks during the day. Usually apples. I feel like the place has been looking a bit shabby. There has been a dripping, gaping whole in the ceiling in front of the elevator. There has to be mold all over from it. It has been almost a year now and they have not fixed it. My dad likes the location, though I can't say that I would recommend it.

I am currently a resident at Holiday Harvard Park Retirement and overall the experience has been good for me at this facility. I love it here! The friendliness and the meals are great. The value for cost is also great. I would recommend Holiday Harvard Park Retirement to others.

I don't have much of a field of comparison. They were great at setting us up. They sold the features of the place, and gave us a relatively big deal on the room we got. I think the outreach and the activities direction could be doing a bit more to reach out to more reticent residents, but overall I think the place has done right by my loved one.

The staff is wonderful. It's some of the other residents that cause problems As far as the food goes - they need to serve less high carb vegetables, healthier bread choices I cannot recommend them until I see how the management company change this summer works out.

My loved one was previously a resident at Cogir on Napa Road Assisted Living and Memory Care. The value for cost was good until she needed additional care. Based on the experience I would say that Cogir is a good place for seniors who actively participate, but if they have mobility issues the care is minimal and expensive.

Staffing was a big issue. Took from the care for mom away. I'd still recommend.

My dad is a difficult to please and complains a lot so I can't get him to speak positively about any place. I have not been to the property. Best part is the price. I've tried to call them and email them and no one ever bother to return my calls. So, low price is all I have to offer.

Studio Royale is a nice property and the physical upkeep is very good. The food is good quality, well prepared and tasty. The day-to-day staff is very good. However, upper management staff has changed frequently in the past year. A year ago a woman named, [name removed], was in charge and did an outstanding job. Since that time, upper staff management has been widely variable in performance. The medical staff has declined enormously over time. Getting meds on time and in the correct dosages is a struggle. This could be due to poor management and/or understaffing. The Director, [name removed], and the manager, [name removed], are hard to reach with undependable follow through. Although I have seen both rise to the occasion, it is not the norm.

At this time they are experiencing staffing issues. Things have been a little challenging at the start. Our hope is they get fully staffed soon and I think we will see improvement. Biggest challenge has been the quality of the meals and getting the mom's apartment cleaned to an acceptable standard.

It seems to be one of the higher priced communities and sadly the remodeling going on is been going on 6 months very depressed environment.

They had a total change of people and didn't let anyone know. There's too much deferred maintenance. They've let it really rundown cosmetically. Recently had a major water pipe burst, and when the floor tiles were replaced in the common area, they didn't even try to make it look aesthetic. Looks awful. Water rot from the rains on the doors, and the carpets need to be replaced in the hallways.

They are not prompt answering call buttons but staff is attentive and friendly otherwise. Staff has been wonderful but since Cogir took over the management of Harvard Square staff is quitting at an alarming rate. Since Cogir has taken over food is starch heavy and the quality has dropped significantly. Also, the wait time in the dining room to be served has been up to 1 hour with residents simply sitting and waiting for their food to come.

Our family member was at Cogir of North Bay for two months and in the hospital for falling most of that time. She was then relocated to board and care. Staffing seemed inadequate for the size of the facility. Our family member actually needed much more care than expected. That person was also not helpful with staff and family. They are also waaay too expensive for what is provided.

I would say the place is nice however they don't vet people for placement. A lot of the folks need assistive living not independent. The reason we picked this place was because of the location which was closer to family.

The facility administrator is unable to deal with complaints. Instead, denies that the problems exist. Housekeeping is great! Caregivers are great for the most part. Communication with family is good. The food is terrible! Tasteless with poor quality, poorly prepared, with small portions. Moving would be an option if there was a better option. Also, three of the caregivers have become like family and make it hard to leave.

My brother says he doesn't like that most rooms are just a rectangle without a bedroom (he has a bedroom) and that most of the people have "lost the spark of life." He says its safe and well maintained.
