Don't see or hear much from admin. They could improve efficiency. Think the service staff training needs to be improved. Service staff is usually good. Sometimes slow with requests. The cooks should actually learn how to cook. Food is over cooked and overly bland. I know some diets are restricted but there is no reason for over processing everything. Our mother says the activities are not 'advertised' enough. No schedule is sent to their rooms.

The staff is really nice, just hard to get a hold of Admin staff sometimes. The food is ok just some repetition and not a lot of meat variety. It is a good place in Newberg for location . Recommended for cost point if on a slightly tighter budget.

Mom's apartment is lovely. Recently remodeled. Staff is friendly. Communications with administration could be improved. Phone calls not returned. Scheduled cleaning of her apartment is not consistent. Mom has not been happy with the food, breakfast selection (same options every day) and dinner not much favor (I have experienced the same when I've eaten with her).

The emergency call cord was not accessible for someone in a wheelchair all the time. So after a month, we got a wrist button, so all is good there. Front door was a problem until recently for getting in after hours. That is now not a problem. Super friendly and helpful staff, from the manager on down. Lots of opportunities for activities available. Had those things mentioned been done when we moved in, would have given them 5 stars.

I guess I would give each of the categories a four except for the activities. And they are definitely a five. The staff turns over quite a bit so hard to rate that. Acoya residents are very friendly, so maybe I would give that a five also . Many people complain about the food, but I think it is quite good. Especially for a place that is providing food for so many and within a budget. And I really have no idea about the value for the money. The downside is that the medical help is almost zero. And they will tell you that Acoya is not a medical facility. So if you need that kind of help it requires a move.

What they could improve on would be care coverage. My mom has been in two assisted-living communities now and the biggest issue is not having enough caregivers. However, we would recommend this community to other families.

It's one of the few assisted living places that pass the sniff test for cleanliness. Its history of outstanding care and service is still in its institutional memory. I liked it better before Cogir assumed full leadership. The transition to all the legalese has been hard for some. But I think my brother is very well cared for.

The Memory Care seems difficult to staff, which I understand. There seems to be a lot of turnover. The administration was wonderful and very helpful with the complicated admission requirements . It's a beautiful facility, especially the Assisted Living part.

Support staff and caregivers are great. Communication has at times been a struggle with administrators. Room size for one bedroom is great. Food could use more variety on the daily offerings but is largely good. Activities are too many movies and discussions for my parent's taste- but may work well with others.

The administrative staff have been very accommodating with some unforeseen circumstances, i.e. renovation delays, a flooding incident due to a frozen pipe, etc. Tenants are very friendly. My mom has made a number of friends very quickly and is therefore interacting socially way more than when she was living on her own previously.

The staff at Solista is professional, helpful, and kind. First thing is that the regional sales lady got us a good price. Then, the common area space seemed very open and inviting. The room was laid out well for my brother's needs. The facility accepted his dog, which is very crucial, mentally for him. The location is convenient to the freeway (for our visits) and close to basic shopping (for my brother to walk), as well as having a shuttle that can take him to local shops and appointments.

Living on a farm all of my life has been a real change here al Solista Senior Living. I am enjoying all the different people- their education and travel.

My experience started when the facility I was in for 2 1/2 years, went up in price 10%, 10%, 7%. I checked this place and the price was lower by quite a large amount. All the amenities were similar. The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly. After being in a more expensive facility. My opinion is this place give you the best value for your money. The staff here is some of the best. The food is well prepared and very delicious.

Staff is Very caring and making my mom feel like family. Very encouraging to her when she had a bout of depression. Keeping me informed when she was having a hard time. Always calling her by name. Love the activities and family dinners or lunches for special occasions /holidays. I do worry about turnover and staffing issues they struggle with, but I know they aren't paid the highest wages.... I think the industry as a whole needs to pay more to keep good staff. But trying to keep rents affordable makes it hard.

The only negative is the hall carpets that need a serious cleaning. Food is excellent. Staff is very nice. Good value. Yes, I would recommend this community to other families.

The process to moving our mom in was smooth and our family felt well supported. Our mom is pleased and comfortable living at Cogir.

Older building built in early 1990’s with lots of mature landscaping , surrounded by greenery with each apartment having a small patio or deck. Staff is very friendly and many have been there for years. Food in the dining room is delicious and customized . A variety of activities throughout the week.
