I have heard nothing but good things about Oak Park from my loved one who is living there. She has been making a lot of friends, everyone in the community seems happy and well taken care of, and they go out of their way to make sure their residents are comfortable.

They are fantastic, I give them fives for everything. My loved one lived here for a while, but I was paying the extra out of my pocket and unfortunately I couldn't keep doing it. They were great though!

It's been pretty good. The only problem I have is that they advertise activities after dinner, but they don't really have that. It's the only thing they don't do, that they said they would. They have maybe one or two activities in the evening, a week. They have new managers making a lot of positive changes, though. The residents aren't very vocal about bringing it up though.

They do an amazing job at Silverado Peoria! We saw quite a few communities and this one was absolutely the best. It's an expensive community, but if you can afford it is worth every penny. It's a beautiful, clean, well kept community, and the staff are all very friendly. They're a brand new community, and the staff all seem very competent and attentive. I also really like the all-inclusive pricing structure, you'll never be charged extra for care, food, outings, etc.

My Mother moved to Andara this past yr after shopping around with her 3 children at various independent living centers in Scottsdale and Phoenix. She was too isolated living alone and didn't eat well. My mom fought moving from her beautiful condo, but after some coaxing, she finally agreed how nice it would be to make friends, and be more active. Her one bedroom apartment is small, however, it so nicely designed that she loves it. We also did not want to go to a facility with a substantial "buy in" deposit. Didn't make sense for her. I'm writing this because Andara has been more than we ever hoped for. My Mother is SO happy, and has made numerous close friendships with many residents. The residents are lovely, kind and very welcoming. The entertainment is truly amazing several times weekly before dinner in Josephine s Lounge. Don't let the white table cloth dining room, and leather bound menus fool you....you can dine on gourmet type dishes, or have a cheeseburger, which is wonderful! The continental breakfast served daily is incredible, with the best home made fruit pastries I've ever tasted. Staff is friendly, compassionate and bends over backwards to make everyone happy. The facility itself can be compared to a beautiful cruise ship, with incredible libraries, theater and beauty salon. I cannot recommend Andara more highly.Dancing, fun, Bingo, Wii Bowling, shopping trips and town car service is complimentary. Our family is so thankful to have found Andara. We know our mom is safe, happy, and honestly as active as her kids now!

Seemed very nice but especially for independent living.

My mother lived independently at Andara for about a year and moved to Andara's assisted living facility for the last month of her life. She loved it there! Her one bedroom apartment was bright and had room for her baby grand piano. The facility is beautiful, well appointed and elegant. My mother was concerned that she would have trouble making friends and adjusting but her fears were completely unfounded. She met some wonderful, interesting people who became good friends and were great support for each other. The staff at Andara is world class. They know their roles and perform them very well. What was a very pleasant surprise to me was the "above and beyond" attitude of the staff. They were always looking for ways that they could make the residents more comfortable and worked hard to accommodate the individual needs of the residents. They are kind and respectful and it became very obvious to me that they are there because they know that they can make a difference in the lives of the residents. I believe this is one of the most important differentiators in facilities such as this! My mother told me many times how happy she was to have moved from the midwest to Scottsdale and how much she liked living at Andara!

As Austin (my middle name) is one in the wasteland of TX, so is (still) Emeritus North Bay an oasis among senior facilities in this part of CA! Ownership changes over the past year or so have not proven tragic, some plus, fewer minus. Units have filled without ill effect

I liked it very much & will probably sign up. My second daughter is going with me today to see the apt. that is available. I will sign up & move in the fall.

Things have gone very well at Silverado Peoria. It's an attractive new building, and they do a great job keeping things looking clean and well kept. The staff do an excellent job looking after the residents here. The staff are very attentive, calming, and observant of the moods and attitudes of the people they care for. They're fairly expensive, but it is a great value for the level of care that they provide.

It's very clean. The staff is friendly, but they have had a couple of changes, that has made my mother a little anxious. They had a meeting about that they had to fire a cook, or something, and I think they handled it the best they could, but older people get concerned about things like that. They are quite attentive. She talks about how kind and attentive the young people that serve their meals are, that they come down to their level so we can hear them, and that they are just very kind and that they listen. The food is very good, they have a lot of fish, but they do offer alternatives. They have a good setup for activities, and when mom wanted to play something they didn't already have set up, they got a sign up sheet and started one and now they play her game. We picked The Seville, because mom picked it, because they will take her to her appointments, and they have everything right there, and she just thought it was where she would be happy. We visited several times, and every time they were very obliging and showed us different floor plans. They were so kind and never ran out of patience.

Everybody, staff and residents, are extremely friendly and anxious to make the newbie feel welcome. My Mom is adjusting better than I wished for in my dreams.

We loved this facility and thoroughly enjoyed meeting with Cari Hickman. Mom was comfortable with the environment and Cari. It is just a matter of being able to afford to live in a one bedroom/one bath unit in the independent living section. Beautiful and welcoming environment!

Visited 7/18/14. Very nice. Pluses were 3 meals, price, apt seemed roomier, very attractive grounds and common areas. PT not available because of Kaiser insur but certified senior fitness trainer can provide indiv sessions for $100/8 sessions Minuses - long hallways, primarily assisted living folks, no balcony

Although this is an older facility, it is nicely renovated. One of the onsite managers spotted us in the parking and gave us a wealth of information we would not have received on the tour. This community has great value for its moderate prices.

My sisters and I had a wonderful visit at Atrium and think it would have been the perfect place for our mom. Unfortunately, her medical circumstances changed and she will not be able to move to any assisted living community.

So far it seems like a beautiful place and it seems like it’s a nice place. Overall it seems very nice, like a gorgeous place. They seem to be very on top of taking care of all the residents and my kids seem really happy with the services so far.

They do a good job. We are really happy with them. The food is actually pretty good it's one of the reasons we chose them. Janet is the manager there, and working with senior is her avocation as well as her vocation, she really likes it, and it shows. They were right on top of their residents, we mistakenly signed our loved one out on the wrong sheet, and with in a very short amount of time, they were calling us and trying to find out what had happened. That gave me even more confidence.

We moved Mom into the The Stratford on July 4th. She's very happy with her apartment and already anxious to return "home" if she goes out. She seems to be adjusting very well. The staff and other residents are friendy, helpful and very welcoming. She said she slept well even the first night there. We are expecting to see positive changes in her health and mental state. A Place for Mom provided such fast and expansive information with options for services we needed. I would highly recommend them; it's a great organization and provides support not otherwise available. The personal care representative assigned to us was fabulous. I couldn't have asked for anyone more helpful and supportive.

Great community, but we need a place where my mother wouldn't have to move again should she need more care.
