The staff is great and the care takers are very attentive and really work on trying to assist people with memory care issues like maintaining and supporting them. They do a lot of activities, and our mother really enjoys the women's tea. They also just set up an art room which our mother enjoys because she used to be a painter. Our mother is fine with the food, but our father sometimes doesn't really care for it.

I love it here. When you walk into our great room, there's a piano, and it's very welcoming. They check on you here daily, and will stop and talk to you for a moment and make sure you're okay. Everyone here, including the servers, are trained to make sure you're doing well. I actually placed myself here. It was time for me to get back around some people. They allowed me to have four cats, and I feel very privileged. There were absolutely no other places that would allow that. They have a cleaning service that comes every week. They change my sheets for me, which is HUGE since I have a bad back. They clean your bathroom and your whole apartment. They'll do dusting and vacuuming, but I do a lot of that myself to keep up with my cats. The only negative is there's not a lot of land around it since it's right in town. But at the same time, if you have a scooter, you can go across the street and go shopping. There's also a bus that can take you on errands. A couple of the staff have left, and now that they've gone, any tension is gone and everyone is working together like clockwork. The manager and the sales person get along really well, and that's really important, because you can just feel that they work well together. And you can go to either one of them if you have a problem. Even the sales person - she'll help with anything you need. The manager at the front desk is really helpful as well. They're opening up the dining room fully again and are transitioning away from serving food in the rooms. The food depends on who the cook is that day. The activities are well loved by the residents, and there is so much variety - things like balloon volleyball and baseball, but leveled down (sitting in chairs or standing at walkers). They have crafts as well, and bingo, movies, Farkle, Total Brain Health, bocce ball, horseshoes, baking club, church on Sundays. We have a new activities director who is really good, and she created a suggestion box so we can let her know what we'd like to see. There's a huge calendar of activities. I'm curious to see what the new miniature golf activity is going to be. Once a month, they hold two separate town hall meetings for us, one with the managers, and one with the chefs, where we get to say things good or bad. And they split those up by floor so you have plenty of time to talk and say what you want to say.

The activities are starting to slowly come back and what they have are good. From speaking with our loved one we believe the food is good, there are some things she really likes. We would recommend this facility to others, the director of the memory care is amazing. She is a perfect advocate for the families and loved ones.

The community has nice size rooms and patios. The staff was very helpful. Communication was good between the staff and our family and they kept us well informed. The community reminded me of a nice hotel. I would recommend this community to others.

The staff members are absolutely amazing they would be a 10 out of 10, they have just been fabulous. Even though our loved one is in assisted living, he does not need much help but if he ever did they would be there immediately for him. He absolutely loves the food, and the activities are still pretty limited but they do allow live music. This had been great for the residents they can and mingle with each other while social distancing. One of the best selling points is the value and it is in the best location. The biggest thing for our loved one is he only has to write one check a month for his payments, and not a bunch of separate checks or payments, it just makes things much easier.

The Community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. Communication between the staff and my loved one is very good and they keep him well updated and informed. I would recommend this community to others.

My mom absolutely loves it here. She has built friendships. The staff are helpful, the engagement from the staff, and feels supported. The community is great at keeping residents up to date with information There is a garden box in the commons area for planting. My mom is enjoying this and the friendships she has built in the community.

I would tell others that the environment has giving my loved one a sense of home. She feels seen by the staff and residents. The staff goes above and beyond for the residents. My loved one is very happy here. The food is good.

The staff is very caring and concerned and involved with the residents. With Covid, they did a really good job of keeping the residents safe and following CDC protocols. They only allowed two visitors per resident at a time. Before being allowed to visit, they asked us questions about where we had been and what we had done, and they took our temperature. Now they have a more updated, automated system. It's like a mini computer where you sign in yourself to save time. It takes your temperature and prints out a name tag so they know you've checked in. Initially all meals were served in the residents' rooms, and there were no activities. And then as things improved, they eased some of the restrictions. They started bringing in entertainment / music outside, and they started up bingo. Now that everyone has been vaccinated, they've reinstated the bus that takes everyone to the grocery store and Walmart. And they've added an excursion once a week. They've increased their activities, with different games and bingo every day, and there's happy hour in the dining room. When they reopened the dining room, they offered shifts for eating so that only half of the residents were in the dining room at any one time. But now everyone is eating together again. During the Covid shutdowns, there was no charge for food delivery to the room. I'm sure this was a challenge for them, because they had the same level of staff. So they had their housekeeping staff helping with food delivery.

It has been a great experience going into a memory care unit. The staff has been friendly, caring, and helpful during this transition during the pandemic. The staff is the best thing about the community. I wouldn't change thing about this experience.

We chose this facility because of the convenient location, we liked the size of it, and it was not quite as large as some of the others we looked into. It was also all on one level, no steps or elevators so we liked the set up. The grounds and the whole facility is very well kept. I think the staff is outstanding and I would highly recommend them to others looking. We are very pleased with the care that they got here.

The community is very friendly and they went out of their way for us. We needed memory care though so this community didn't fit our needs at the time.

Some of the workers don't know what the other workers are doing, there is a lack of communication between them. It seems the workers don't know what the management teams has done. They hide this by saying it is for confidentiality. I think they could do a better job with letting residents know who contracted the COVID19 virus. I don't think the food is all that great. The portions are random and not the same each time. The food is being delivered due to the pandemic. The food is cafeteria style. I'm told this is a more moderately priced community.

According to our loved one the meals are a little inconsistent, and due to the restrictions the activities have been shut down and certain services aren't able to be taken advantage of which is not the fault of the facility. We would recommend this community to others.

Even thought I live in independent living, they are always checking in on me. You have to check in every morning and if they do not hear from you then they call to make sure everything is okay. I really like that they allow you to bring dogs, that is a huge plus and they do offer activities. the staff members really just go out of their way to help.

It came down between 2 facilities, we chose Acoya Mesa because when they called I liked their sales pitch more and the staff members seemed more down to earth. For 2 people, the room size they had was perfect for what they needed. They do also have different sizes to choose from based off of your needs. The staff do send texts and updates by phone calls as well, so they are good with communication. Overall, I have been happy with the services provided and we are excited that things are starting to open up. I would recommend to others who are looking.

This community is not assisted living it's a 55+ community. They don't have any medical staff. The communication between the staff and residence is very good. I would recommend this community to others

This was so far the best situation for my mom, but she is unsure about caring for her dog here. We are keeping our options open on The Virginian. [name removed] was super helpful and gave us delicious salsa from the chef.

The staff members at the community are very good, and when it comes to the care services they provide everything our loved ones needs help with. Under the current circumstances they are still doing activities, and they are coming up with new ways to keep the residents active and engaged.

We really liked our visit to Emerald Pond, it was clean, bright, and all the amenities included with the monthly rent will be super helpful. [name removed] the sales leader was very engaging, informative and able to answer all our questions. We left Emerald Pond with a good feeling.
