They lied from the beginning, about the care that my loved one needed once they were there. The meds were never on time, and they messed them up all the time. I had to hunt down housekeeping and kitchen staff. It was a total mess. My loved one was very unhappy and would not come out of their room. We ended up moving, my loved one out of this place. I would not recommend this place to any other families. I could not get anyone to answer questions, or do what they were supposed to do. They left my loved one, in their own feces for hours. It was a disaster from th get go. I had several conversations and it was always excuses. The managment is very poor, and people were quitting from left to right. It was terrible.

I lived here, and they told me " all-inclusive," but then they raised my price, when I needed extra care. Lots of unhealthy people live here, not very active. High turn over in staff. I do not recommend.

Brickmont is not a safe place for your loved one. They are staffed by under-qualified employees with a very high turnover rate. The visiting hours do not work for anyone with a normal job. They would frequently mess up medications when asked to pack them for overnight. Communication is minimal and sometimes untrue. Our family moved a loved one out due to mistreatment and violation of contract. They decided to increase his level of care ($$) and move him to a new room without permission. It caused horrible anxiety and a big set back in my relative's mental state when he was already dealing with dementia. They put him in an empty room with only his bed, a TV, and clothes in the closet. Then, when told to move his things back, they left his clothes in the other room for a week! Of course, no one took fault or even admitted that anything wrong was done. My loved one was horribly mistreated and it is just going to keep happening to residents because there are no repercussions!

We had to move our love one out of Brickmont. They are constantly changing supportive staff and management. They hire inexperienced caregivers and are very unprofessional when dealing with residents. The medication errors was the last straw. Several incidents of preventable falls. The bathrooms in apartments flood on first floor from shower and I was told there is nothing that can be done. 5 to 6 towels must be put down to shower every day. Very unhappy with this location. There is no nurse, housekeeping or maintenance on weekends.

Don't let the all-inclusive low price fool you. Once you need more care, they will raise your price. Not a lot of activities for "healthier patients" everyone seems to be LOW functioning almost like a nursing home. High turn over in staff. I would not recommned.

Care and basic needs were not being met. The staff were lazy and would not adequately care for and toilet my loved one. They withheld fluids from him. Activities were nonexistent. It was not an environment that would lead to any sort of brain stimulation. The cost seemed good at first, but they just weren't doing anything.

Several concerns about my mother’s care. You are at their mercy. Staff can be very rude. The owner is only concerned about the money she is making and will overlook issues with medication and treatment protocol. The visiting nurse practitioner is just scary in respect to residents.

Thank God I moved my husband to another facility this past Jan., before the Covid-19 escalation. My Husband spent four years at Carriage Court; 1/12 years in assisted living, and 2/12 years in Legacy Court, the lock down memory care unit. Initially facility ( asst living) was excellent, but by the time my husband was sent to Legacy Court, things were going rapidly down hill. The staff was transitory and lean; Legacy Court was dark, cramped and depressing. Staff knowledge and ability to recognize medical red flags, was woefully deficient.Whenever I raised a concern, even with a Nurse, the problem was always" caused by progression of his illness." I am a Medical professional, and caught serious issues that required the doctor's oversight, and sometimes sent my husband to the ER on more than one occasion. No Director of Nursing here for well over a year; books not up to date.I was called many times to rush over and sign documents which were retro-dated. Weigh scale broken, and l had to become very vocal before it was finally repaired. They had been estimating my husband's weight. Protocols were lax or nonexistent. Water was not placed consistently at resident's dining table. After my husband dehydrated, and was placed in hospice after a week in the hospital, this was corrected, but residents were not consistently urged or monitored in their fluid consumption. No water was offered outside of mealtime on a consistent basis. I started a sign-in protocol for Legacy Court after my husband was apparently sexually assaulted in his room by someone from outside the facility. Most of the time you had to look for the sign-in book. Sheets were not dated, and there was no pen. Very lax!!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband was taken out of hospice the end of Oct.(20/19 ) and for the previous 6 mos, had not gotten dehydrated,(good oversight by hospice ) but early Dec. of last year,he was back in the ER dehydrated, and dehydrated two more times in Dec.,taken to the ER; the last time spent two weeks in the hospital.I would tell staff he was dehydrated, and urge them to monitor and give him water on a regular basis. I found him in the dining room one day in Dec., trying to feed himself,, and food was everywhere, because of the muscle spasms he was having from being dehydrated. The staff seemed oblivious to the situation. He ended up in the hospital that night. Dehydrated 3 times in Dec, all requiring hospital stays. I became aware of this facility's inspection deficiencies in Dec.20/19, on Tn.Gov. and found out Carriage Court had come close to being shut down last year. They have been on probation since June of 2019, and still remain on probation, after paying several large fines. My mother and uncle were in assisted living at a better time for this facility. There are currently better facilities to place your loved ones. I have seen some wonderful ones! I feel very guilty that I did not move my husband before I did. Legacy Court is a depressing area, and needs to be overhauled; bad apples on staff, better space ,better lighting in rooms and common areas, and better decor. I always felt down and weepy after being there. The residents deserve much better!!!! All of these facilities need to be regularly monitored for quality which is directly affected by adequate staff, their credentials and qualifications, promptness in addressing medical issues, and how often the place changes ownership.

My grandmother is and always has been my hero, so it makes sense that I want the absolute best care and love she deserves. It only took a month for my family to realize that Carriage Court was not going to provide the level of support and kindness that should accompany a memory care facility. The staff was always rude...every time I visited, they would tell me how "bad" my grandma behaved. The area designated for memory care patients was dark and shut off from everything around it, much like a [Removed] ward...I would come in and my grandma would be pacing up and down the only hall in the entire facility. Activities were few and far between; staff seemed to be more interested in their phones than interacting with the people they are there to help. She was rarely showered and dressed appropriately. Personal items were not cared for (for example, we got my grandmother a life-like (and fairly expensive!) cat toy because it gives her a sense of calm. One day my family and I came in and the staff had actually taken the cat out of her room and was playing around with it --quite roughly-- with the other residents while my grandma was hiding in her room). Her new glasses went missing, and staff acted like it was a major hassle for them to look for them (needless to say, the glasses were never located). We could not have been more disappointed with Carriage Court and are very thankful to have found a much more suitable home for my wonderful grandmother elsewhere. (Note: This review was posted on their Facebook page, only to be deleted within 12 hours. I suppose they only want comments that make them look far better than the rating they deserve.)

My mother lived here for about five years and everything was going good until 2013, the food was horrible the building itself changed when you walk inn all you can smell is urine, activities are child like for the memory care unit, residents and picking there nose at the table, other residents talking loud to staff members yelling at staff from across the room and the management doesn't care about the residents the DON is very rude she doesn't have people skills.... if the whole management team is replaced then this might be a good place for your loved one but now I wouldn't even let my cat stay one night here
