[name removed] on the dayshift was wonderful with my loved one. But it got bad on the night shift. They didn't seem to know how or try to divert him when he would get upset. I would rate dayshift staff a 4 and nightshift staff a 1.

Communications are an issue. The services promised are not always available. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Brickmont of Acworth to others.

The biggest problem our family had was the lack of prompt response time the staff had when our loved one would push her button she when needed assistance.

The senior staff is unresponsive to the needs of the residents. Even though a caretaker was let go for an incident with our loved one, the situation did not improve afterward.

On paper Brickmont Acworth is a great value and show be a good home. In reality there are a lot of issues. Services are sporadic, meals are mishandled and a huge sore spot for the residents. Activities are listed but really non existent. Turnover of residents appears high and my dad is not happy. He is sticking with it right now because the cost is good and he is hoping things will improve. But if not he will be moving.

My mother has lived at The Claiborne for a little over a year now. The floor plans and facility are quite nice as to be expected for a new building. However, the quality of service, ESPECIALLY dining, has consistently declined. I cannot count the number of times the staff in the kitchen has quit, and they are not provided with decent ingredients when they are there. The latest staff quit again yesterday and the solution provided for dinner was to serve Little Caesars pizza. It’s one thing to have to resort to ordering pizza at the rates the residents pay, but even worse to get probably the lowest quality pizza available on top of that. The cleaning service is as inconsistent as the dining and you never know if they will even show up. Residents were promised door front trash pick up at move in and now must carry it to end of hall bins and management tried to make them take it all the way down and out to the dumpster at one point. I am extremely disappointed at the decline of service

At first I fell in love with the community. The location was perfect, and the facility was fantastic. But I was not pleased with how they handled my loved one's behavioral issues upon move-in. And I had to move her out pretty much immediately. Listening to them, I fell for all of it. I think they probably are a great place, but I don't think they can handle certain dementia-related issues. The director was fantastic, as well as the main nurse. But since then I've heard they've had some turnover. They were helpful in finding a place for my loved one to go, but they just couldn't handle her needs.

Due to the covid restrictions we were not able to get inside the community to see how clean it was but the exterior was very clean. They also still put in a really good effort to keep the activities going which was nice, our only problem we ran into is that in the beginning they did not assess our loved one correctly.

Moved into Brickmont Woodstock 10 days ago, moving out this week Building is great, food is great Caregiving is poor, not particularly friendly and difficult to get their attention. Appears to be ok if all you need is lodging, meals and laundry otherwise not a good choice

We were disappointed in how run down this community appeared to be, the staff member that did our tour did a nice job showing us around and answering our questions but we did not feel that this would be a good fit for our mother at all.

Staff is ill equipped, no one seems to be able to answer any type of questions.. cable isn’t working half the time and don’t have clue about getting previous phone number ported to brickmont..

My mother has lived here for just over a year and is miserable. There is huge turnover in staff, the food is almost inedible and they sometimes don't respond to the lifeline button. The Executive Director is in way over her head. If I could easily move her, I would.

Quality of food and preparation more than poor. Often not edible. Food does not compliment each other. Spaghetti and corn on cob. Very poorly cooked and very sloppy served. Often run out of condiments and crackers. Dishes. Servers are excellent Food is actually deplorable. For what we pay it is pathetic. They do not know how to put dishes together that go together. Upon renting Very misleading as gourmet dining. Thrown on plate. Burned sandwiches. Sandwiches sent back and turned over and reserved. We pay a lot of money here for this. Carpet in bedrooms very nasty. Needs replacing. Supposedly cleaned. So old dirt works up through carpet. Health hazard. Cleaning service very poor. Mops, cleans at bathrooms. Does not dust. Changes bed. Very poorly ran.

the food is consistently very bad, and it is inferior to even a barracks cafeteria in which the cooks are aspiring to prepare inedible food. even a 5% additional investment would improve the dining quality by 100% or more. We must assume the director there does not consume or taste any of the food prepared in the kitchen for the dining residents.

It was horrible. Staffing sub par - got in patient's faces yelled at them, laid hands on them. Mgmt unresponsive. Medication was very mismanaged. Dad didn't get his meds for a week at a time when they "ran out" and blamed the pharmacy. They gave medication that dad was NOT prescribed and it was very bad for him.

had a terrible experience - Being more honest from the beginning. Better evaluation of resident. Just a 15 minute evaluation does not work. Paid 2 months - my sister-in-law slept there 4 nights and that was the end of May into June. Staff did not know how to really take care of their residents. We were not told at the beginning that it was being sold. I would never recommend that facility!

Beware! If you truly love your family member do not move them their. They have a high turn over rate in staff which is ridiculous. The ED [name removed] is very unprofessional and rude. She stay in her office all day with the door shut. She talks down to her staff and families. The food is horrible for the price you pay and never improves. Upper management doesn't do anything about their buildings and hire unqualified and unprofessional staff.

The nurse ([name removed] ) is not very friendly and speaks in a condescending tone. Many other families feel this same way. She's especially bad/rude when it's just you and her one on one. In a public setting, she's all smiles though. She is definitely not a people person, and is in the wrong job. Even the staff feel she is not nice. She's just an LPN, too.

Brickmont Woodstock was absolutely not a good fit for my loved one.

This facility is not for anyone who is unable to be fully independent. There are so many things they need to improve on, too many to type.
