My dad does not do any of the activities. We do not have any complaints or anything that stands out with the facility.

Overall the personal was friendly and helpful. The quality of food was not what many of the residents expected and the selection of food provided was limited. Sometimes the staff would just serve P&J sandwiches if the cook did not show up. Apparently there was a change in management before we signed up and that was reflected in a negative way by many of the residents. As for billing, this area I would rate as a 1! I have been dealing with a refund request that was approved for over 6 weeks and I keep being told it's being processed but I never get any confirmation that a check was processed to close out my request. Very disappointing

Room is good like the building concept that is like a home. Community area and private rooms. Husband in memory care. Not many activities. Wish there were more caregivers that spoke English. Most are very kind. Not sure about food. Don't eat but sit and watch husband eat meals and most appear good. Of course he doesn't think so. There could be better communication.

Room size was small. Facility was clean. Activities were poor. Residents are not free to go to a safe outdoor enclosed area. Activity room was small and not enough to handle all residents at one time.

It could be better. my mom needs to be checked on more frequently and changed more often during the day. Also we have had problems with medication for her blood clot but I believe that has been resolved. We have also had to complain about follow up on Dr appointments.

Took several days for the wellness manager to call me to schedule an assessment. By that time, I had already chosen another facility. Overall though it looked like a very nice place but may have been too big in the end for my mother’s needs and personality.

There were a few times that my medications were not available and it was inconsistent if I received them twice a day. About 2x a week, I received a 3rd medication dispensed. My room was supposed to be cleaned but it was only cleaned twice while I was here for 6 weeks. For the most part the care team was helpful and friendly although there were very few that were consistent. PT and OT were great.

Brickmont did a fine job taking care of my husband in February for 2 weeks in respite care inside their memory unit. I would recommend to others.

They would never let my mother talk when her out of state family called. The bathroom in her room was never clean. Staff was nice enough though.

Food has gone downhill. Not many fresh vegetables and limited choices. Staff turnover is high. Many caregivers are friendly and helpful, but they tend to be overworked and don't stay long. Oversight of medication is poor.

Positives - appearance is very nice. Rooms are nice. Staff was pleasant. Negatives - very poor to no communication

There should be a transition coordinator. We had questions - still have questions- and no one seems to be a contact person. My brother is in GA and the rest of his (4 of us) siblings are in NJ We can't visit often and have no idea how he is adjusting. He is in GA to be near his son who has a disability.. He seems to like it. The cost, newness of the facility and location were important factors.

What they could improve on would be to hire more food servers. We are not sure yet if we would recommend this community to others.

They level of care not the best if u need assistance to bathroom, dressing, shower, etc. If they don't need much help I would recommend but if they need lots of assistance no

Really liked the place, they were very nice but once they assessed my mom, she has a bed sore all communication just stopped. Never had the courtesy to answer mine or the social worker’s calls. Very unprofessional. Extremely disappointed with their lack of caring.

Most of the staff is good but there is a real problem with ensuring memory care residents are kept showered and clean. Supposed to have them shower at least twice a week and they are lucky if it’s once a week; sometimes not. They wear the same clothes for many days up to a week and nobody reminds them to brush teeth, etc. Recently (last few months) housekeeping has gone down hill and residents rooms are not cleaned. If it wasn’t for the few really good staff members, I wouldn’t have my loved one stay there. They need to ensure residents personal hygiene and room cleanliness is a priority. Also need to make sure the residents are present for all meals since they sometimes forget. When you are paying $[removed]/month for care, you expect a little more than what you get. The direct care staff seems to turnover frequently, especially the good ones. This place is okay but with these improvements it could be great!

Brick is now called Claiborne I would not recommend this place. Too many of the caregivers don't care. They take much too long to answer their buttons for help and until very recent the chef wasn't that good. They don't clean the rooms often enough. And the laundry doesn't smell fresh and clean when you get it back sorry but I would not recommend this place.

Very expensive for the service that is given. Care team does not give showers on a regular basis. General hygiene not reminded for residents. This is memory care. Resident activities director for memory care is a GEM. She is the reason I can feel ok with mom being there.

My mom is definitely safer right now as she hasn’t escaped in the two months she has been there, and believe that she is less likely to fall either. The cleanliness of her room has been disappointing, not certain how much assistance she is getting with hygiene and dressing and the food has not been to her liking. Communication from the staff has been the most disappointing, as I just don’t get much feedback except when I talk to the med techs directly. I think management recently changed and turnover at the administrative level has been heavy so maybe that’s a big part of it. Still hopeful that we can get some of the issues worked out, but certainly not quite as good as initially hoped for.

We had a problem with theft of snack items and once with a worker coming into the room in the middle of the night looking for cigarettes. My biggest complaint was that nobody would return your calls. No communication. It was like once they got your money, they were done.
