Claiborne Senior Living

There is a new director who seems to be very engaged and interested in making Claiborne a great place for the residents and families. We have been very pleased with the quick responses we have gotten when we have had issues. They have also been aggressive with corrective actions and the results are starting to show. They also seem to be getting their staffing sorted out. All in all, we are very pleased.

I picked this community because it was a single, all inclusive price without tiered levels of care. It looked clean and well maintained and professionally run. There weren't any serious violations on the department of health website. I would recommend to a friend, and suggest they consider if the level and types of activities were a good fit for their relative.

The building is very nice and so is the staff. But if you need a lot of care this might not be the best place. There were only 2 people at night per floor to help with bathroom duty and patients suffered. Dining is rigid and patients spent 2 hours in the dining room for each meal. But what staff they did have was very nice as were the rooms. But better than a nursing home for sure if the person can help their self walk and bathe.

I would recommend this facility. Overall, the staff is consistent and friendly and seem to sincerely care about the adults who live here. Multiple options are offered for meals each day - for all three meals. My parents like eating here. Socialization is offered, but not required so it takes a little while to find your way.

Overall a good facility. Staff is great. Atmosphere is great. Their choice of external health care is not so good. Not impressed with Guardian Pharmacy or Pingetin nurses.Picked because it is a good value and is well maintained. Staff are friendly and cheerful.

The assisted living side of Brickmont of John's Creek was fine, but a little more activity would have been welcomed. The dementia care could have been better.

For dining- my mom thinks the food could be better but in fairness, she doesn't like ANY food , but the dining staff is very nice, kind and responsive, like all the other staff. It is a pretty community and the staff is VERY friendly

I would definitely recommend Brickmont of John's Creek. The building and rooms are immaculate. The move in process was smooth and easy. The caregivers are pretty good- they are perhaps too busy, but they care and want to get things right. One staff person was rough, but after reporting the problem it was addressed. The administration staff is caring and responsive. Getting the care plan updated as needed is essential to assure the right level of assistance. The meals are excellent.

I toured with Brickmont of John's Creek and it was a nice facility. The only downside is that they would only accept my loved one in the memory are unit although she did not have any dementia or Alzheimer's diagnoses. She only had temporary cognitive issues due to a UTI.

Brickmont of West Cobb community is a nice and clean place. The staff members that they have working there are friendly and based on the experience I have had so far - sure I would recommend them to other families.

We have been very pleased with Brickmont Roswell. My in laws have been there 8 weeks now. There were a few "bumps" in the early days, but they were addressed and solved in a satisfactory manner. I believe they are in the process of hiring a full time activities director which will help a lot. I've seen signs about planned activities so I know they are working towards that. I also appreciate how helpful, caring and professional everyone at A Place for Mom has been.

So far so good. I would recommend to other families. We picked this community because of the location.

It cost only $[removed] more per month than [removed]. She has help with personal assistance with showering, walking to the dining room and laundry and cleaning services. Mom has had to use her " Call" button around her neck. I am concerned with the lack of interest from the concierge when called about Mom needing help when her Help fob was not working. The young lady did not seem to like being inconvenienced with having to call for assistance. I wound up calling 911 from Toccoa for the Kennesaw incident. She was experiencing heart failure.

Monthly costs are quite fair compared to other ASL's. I would recommend the community the staff is very nice the place is fairly clean. The nurse doesn't usually return calls that's sort of bothersome and the activities director never involves my father in activities otherwise everything else is good and the food looks excellent.

We chose Brickmont for it's location, price and staff.We would recommend with some reservations.

Our family had an in person tour experience with Brickmont of John's Creek and even though it was not the community for our loved one, we were very impressed with the tour and the community.

We toured The Claiborne at Brickyard Crossing during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. We had a good tour and this facility was nice! The cleanliness and friendliness were good. The food was good, as well.

My loved ones room and bathroom are not cleaned often. Management never spoke to you in halls. Never returned any phone calls or emails. When on hospice could not get the medicine correct. Hospice gave it to us to administer. The food was really good! Not near as many activities as we expected. Plus hair salon only had one stylist who had standing appointments. No one new could get in to see her. Good price for a new facility. Communication was our biggest complaint.

The Claiborne is a beautiful but huge facility. It offers a lot for the independent. Residents have to be able to walk a good distance just to eat. We had to get her a scooter. It's also on the higher end cost.Claibornes assisted living is fine. You just have to find what fits the resident best.

Food is served by bringing it to the table one person at a time. It’s usually tough to cut into & can’t eat it. It always takes about 2 hours for the entire process of getting your food, while you sit at the table and wait. It’s very disfunctional, and unorganized. The food and the food services need to be observed very badly. Maybe some of the staff people should eat with the residents on a daily basis.
