My mother in law complains about the food regularly. She enjoys the facility and the staff is helpful when they are made to be. Brickmont was bought out and now we are anticipating a 10% rental increase annually.

We have had some issues with medication management that required us to be very hands on and several conversations / calls and f2f meetings. It currently is being handled correctly but it took involvement from our family to address and let them know we were on top of things and monitoring staff and are continuing to do so. New management company took over and seeing positive change.

This is a wonderfully clean, attractive place and the staff seem to genuinely care about the residents. However, possibly due to some language barriers and sometimes due to bureaucracy, I’ve noticed I have to stay super on top of medication dosing and some other things. If your loved one is on anything PRN, you can almost count on many times they won’t get it even if they need it. The food could use some improvement as well, and memory care really badly needs some updates to access for family members, activities, and use of the full facility. At no point was I informed that my loved one would never even get to see the pretty common areas, gardens, etc or take part in any activities. They sell you on the facility & activities but memory care is a huge downgrade. Overall I’m quite happy though, things stay very clean and my loved one is treated like a friend by those who work there.

[name removed], of the Sales Staff, was very good about answering questions and following up without pestering. And the facility presented well on their website. The virtual tour was easy to follow. Location was important because I wanted to be close enough, but didn't want the facility to be just outside our neighborhood so that I would feel guilty about not stopping by every time I went to the grocery. Daily caregivers are wonderful. Senior admin and nursing staff are very busy and tend to be difficult to get a timely response from.

Overall it was a new and nice facility. The people were pretty friendly however my loved one is no longer there. We would recommend Brickmont Roswell community to other families based on the experience we had.

Brickmont is generally a very pleasant facility that is very friendly. I think there could be slight improvement in activities and care. The food seems fine. Like our father always says "if I had to be anywhere, this is about the best anywhere I could be"

We can only speak for the memory care section. We love the 9-5 staff of Brickmont, but the staffing and care was not the same or best experience on nights and weekends. High turnover, 50% lovely caring people, just not enough of them.

Everyone is very positive when out and engaging with residents. They know all residents by their first names. The quality of care is hampered by the turnover of staff - a nation-wide challenge. Food service is inconsistent. The use of the on site management staff helps keep things moving during busy times, but the food service staff suffers from turnover and employee absence issues. The Activities Director is awesome! The Energizer bunny couldn't keep up with her. The director is invisible to the residents. It looks like any initiative brought to her attention must first be approved by "corporate" - resulting in little real time improvement.

My loved one was previously a resident at The Claiborne at Baton Rouge. The nurses were caring individuals. The food was adequate, the place was clean. Everything about the physical facility was pleasant and, as I chatted with folks in the common areas of the other part of the facility, they all seemed happy. The move in- and move out was efficient and professional. They knew it was stressful and did anything they could to smooth our path. I know the management has a good attitude and WANTS every person to receive the same treatment that they would want their own family members to receive. But sometimes, things are beyond their control. I will say, the last week before my loved one died, no hospital could have done better. I give them a 5 star for end-of-life care.

Parents just complain about the food and the separation of independent and assisted living socially.

I like the all inclusive pay. 1 pay it includes everything. Other places we visited you pick and get charged per service. But I never wanted my dad to get turned away because he didn't have a service. The facility is very clean and smells good. They did just have a massive turn over on employees and they seem to have handled it pretty good. No place is perfect but went things don't go well I feel they do a great job taking care of it.

I have been very pleased overall with Brickmont Roswell, both with the Memory Care side where my friend was a year ago, and with the assisted living experience that we are now in with my in-laws. There have been a few minor issues but they have always been addressed and resolved satisfactorily.

I would definitely recommend this facility to others. The staff is always friendly and professional. The move in process was a breeze. The housekeeping is great - we've had no issues at all. The meals are okay; my mom would like to see steak and other more expensive meals, but that is not realistic for this type of residential facility. I would appreciate a little more communication when rates, care levels, or key personnel at the facility change, but it is not a worrisome situation. Overall, I am very glad that my mom selected The Claiborne at Shoe Creek.

You have to be involved in the care. You know your Mom better than anyone. They are good partners, caring and open to change to benefit the resident. I would recommend it for a hands on loved one that wants your Mom to continue to have the independence.

I would recommend Brickmont Woodstock. Caregivers really seem to bond and care about the residents. There are activities daily but they may not appeal to everyone. There are some good complainants from my mother but at least she is getting three solid meals. Everyone is nice and friendly when I have visited.

Very good except staff turnover and rates jumping quickly. Number 8 equals a 3 cause the rates jump quickly.

I must say that my mom loves it at Brickmont. She told me last night that she feels like it's her home and she feels safe and cared for. The major thing we hope for is better food quality and quantity but overall it's her home and she's happy to be there. The cost was what lead us mostly to Brickmont. Although still costly it was less than most that we visited.

Overall we have been pleased with the Brickmont and most of its staff. The facility is clean and activities are well run and staff is attentive and friendly Rooms are spacious and pleasant. Food is fair . We have one complaint which is concerning and that is regarding her medication management - there has been times when a pill has not been administered but our family member is aware enough to advise the tech’s of the necessary correction. On a larger scale within the last few days the tech’s have let a medicine run out and rather than escalating the issue they chose not to administer a very necessary medication and therefore was missed. Thankfully, our family member is aware and reported to her children who had to escalate and resolve with staff. A big disappointment and now we will be monitoring and hoping Brickmont can restore our faith in their processes and staff. We recognize the transition will come with bumps but this was rather alarming, grateful for the resolution.

There is a new director who seems to be very engaged and interested in making Claiborne a great place for the residents and families. We have been very pleased with the quick responses we have gotten when we have had issues. They have also been aggressive with corrective actions and the results are starting to show. They also seem to be getting their staffing sorted out. All in all, we are very pleased.

I picked this community because it was a single, all inclusive price without tiered levels of care. It looked clean and well maintained and professionally run. There weren't any serious violations on the department of health website. I would recommend to a friend, and suggest they consider if the level and types of activities were a good fit for their relative.
