It was ok.... some of the staff was great. The man that took over was never involved... night time aids needed more training.

We received reasonable care for the price given and the nursing staff were gracious.

Most of the staff has a great disposition and are friendly. But often requests aren’t answered or addressed as quickly as needed. The cottage units are really big, have great screened in porches and some are done up very nicely for but [amount removed] per month. But the food is the biggest detriment. It is often a casserole of some kind or a small sandwich. if you don’t live in the main building and live in the cottages, it is brought down to the clubhouse and thermal coolers which probably adds to it being lackluster.

I don't feel medical care nor medical referrals are adequate. The deep-pile carpet in rooms is an awful idea for reasons on cleanliness. The people are kind.

The location is great. Staff is seriously undertrained. Lack of knowledge about meds they give. We were told things that are just not true. They said nobody ever moves out of this facility once they move in. There were a few moved within the first few weeks due to issues with the staff. There is no accountability for staff members.

The staff is friendly except for (1). The least is problems with medication by (1) staff member. Thankful my dad is able to recognize his meds.

They should not accept insulin-dependent diabetics if they cannot properly care for them. Addington Place is under new management effective [date removed] and rates are increasing effective [date removed]. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Adding Place of Edwardsville to others.

They were very clean and my mother in law liked being there. Communication was lacking a bit. She wasn't there very long, so it's harder to rate. Overall it was a great experience and worth the price.

They have a few good people/workers who find it difficult to do their jobs and everyone else's. Drinking Water available is bottled water. They run out of water frequently near end of month and drinking water is not readily available. The rooms have no sinks, just bathroom lavatories to get drinking water.The place has a great location and could be better with a manager who is present and actively managed the staff. Residents spend a lot of time discussing the lack of management here.

My loved one was a resident at Spring River Christian Village. The experience started out well, but then I started having trouble reaching staff and addressing concerns. The facility was relatively clean, but there are much better. The place is getting rather dingy and really needs a remodel. Most all of the staff were friendly and competent, but they usually seemed understaffed. The quality of care was average. The food was decent. I'm not sure about the activities, my loved one didn't participate. Their prices are better than most, but you are getting less. Also, now that my loved one has passed they are trying to get us to pay almost an entire extra months rent.

Wickshire South Lee Buford had nice living units and were probably the most inexpensive, but they were like villas unattached to dining or activity areas so I was concerned about mobility for my mother accessing those amenities by foot, especially in inclement weather.

There are some good caring people who work there, but they could use more activities. Yes, I would recommend Spring River Christian Village to other families, but I will say where ever your loved one goes, they need their family to make sure their needs are met. To many have no visitors and that is extremely sad. They need someone to speak for them. Make sure they are getting enough to eat, room is clean and that they are NEVER alone.

I think the facilities are nice and clean. The common room is an asset. And the staff are supportive. I would like them to improve their common appliances (washer/dryers) and meal service.

It was very easy getting, my loved one into the place. They offered the amenities that she needed. The staff did a wonderful job keeping things sanitary. I often had to call and leave messages, in order to get updates. The food was fine. The value for the money was good. My loved one was left unattended, and we had to move her to another facility, and the continuous nursing care was discontinued.

We really like some of the employees at Wickshire Canton - the interaction is primarily with the care givers. Some of the CNA's are very caring, understanding, attentive and others it is just a paycheck.

One of my loved ones lives at Wickshire and they are horribly understaffed in the kitchen/dining room. Residents have to wait sometimes over an hour to get their food!! This is inexcusable! On one occasion, my loved one was told they were out of the food designated for lunch and was told cereal was available.

At the time my mother in law was here, they were having a real staffing shortage issue which I know is not unusual in these types of facilities. This ended up affecting things like the quality of care. We ended up moving her because of this issue.

They are short staffed and that is affecting some other areas of the facility. The whole 3rd floor is closed because they are so short staffed. The food was very good when we got here but has since gone downhill. They have plenty of activities and they invite and include the families. They have game nights and you are also able to join your loved ones for lunch or dinner. They are raising their rates quite a bit starting in July.

It was an okay experience for us. We only used them for respite care.

Large building. No dedicated outdoor area for residents. Clean facility and lots of activities for the residents. Staff very friendly.
