I would recommend Knoon Memory Care to others. It is close to home. There are more places to pick from to place our loved one.

The executive director, [name removed] is making a big effort to improve the food and activities. I would raise a caution when assessing level of care for the resident. Their process has no subjective aspect so they calculate based on a point system that results in higher cost of care that wasn't accurate in my opinion. However, Kathleen was able to provide some credit to remedy most of this issue.

The staff are all very kind. I think they are used to taking care of people who don't know how to do things for themselves or need to hear things told to them a million times. They sometimes speak to the residents like children and my father specifically does not need that. Housekeeping is fine, I would like it to be more thorough. But it is fine, nonetheless. Communication with the family is great, they let me know when things are super important! The move in was great! The food quality is alright. The meals don't always look super appealing, sometimes it is not warm but if you ask to warm it, they will. The all day menu has to be ordered in advance, so it's not really all day.

So far it seems like a good place. I can't say it's top notch on everything, some things could be improved, I suppose.

I would recommend this facility.I chose this facility due to the location, width of services, and cost.

Our family had an in person tour with Addington Place of Alpharetta and we were very impressed with the tour experience and the community, but another community just checked all the boxes for us.

It was small, only a memory unit, very nice, close to my home, it felt like a good fit for mom and us.We have had a very good experience. It is a very nice place. Nice people. Clean. They take very good care of Mom. I would tell a friend, to do their own research as well because not each place is suited for everyone. You have to find what works for you and your family and loved one.

Spring River Christian Village is a faith-based facility. I think the biggest challenge they have been having is to maintain optimal staffing. It seems to me that sometimes the staff to resident ratio is not at a sufficient level (mostly on holidays and weekends). I would definitely recommend them, if I become unable to care for myself, this is where I will go.

I gave a 3 for quality of care because it depends on who is working. I gave a 4 on meals because they get later and later serving the meals. I gave a 3 on activities because there is very little in memory care, assisted living has ALOT more. I gave a 3 on value for the cost because if they could fix the other issues, this would be a 5. Still 10X's better than [community name removed].

We toured Wickshire Canton and it was a good tour. The facility was a good value and the staff were very nice. However, the facility itself was a little more dated and less clean than some of the other facilities that we toured.

I would choose them ONLY for their low price. We picked this community because of the price. I would recommend this place to others if, they are considering price only.

Right after my loved one moved in they had a water main break. There was no water or the ability to flush the toilets. The community was using bottled water to assist with the care of the residents, and provide water for the residents to drink. They were able to fix the issue quickly; however, they are continuing to work to make sure everything is repaired. The food for the most part has been good. My loved one hasn't had any complaints about the food being served. The menu could get better, and deliver the food faster to the residents.

Spring River is a faith based community which was one of the main reasons we had picked this community for our loved one. Generally speaking they have different and good activities for the residents throughout the week. They also have therapy for those who are able to do it. Based on our experience we would absolutely recommend Spring River to other families.

The staff were all very nice and friendly. The facility itself at least over on the assisted living side had a nursing home feeling to it. They did have apartments for independent living, but my mom would not have qualified. Those looked very nice and the kitchens were large and the price was great. The location is in a spot with heavy traffic.

I liked the layout in Memory Care, two cozy living room/dining areas, it felt more like a home. Hardwood floors throughout gave a clean feel. Most staff were wonderful, caring and friendly. Very few were not. Memory Care did not seem to have many activities except watching TV or sitting on the patio. Kitchen was not very intuitive about mechanical soft diet.

I toured with Colonial Oaks Memory Care of Tulsa. The tour was good and the facility was nice. The rooms were a bit small in the memory care unit. The staff did seem friendly and engaged/involved with the residents. I just don't like it when one facility or previous employee downgrades or bad mouths another.

Colonial oaks was a good match for my husband. They were patient with him as he was a combative patient. The facility was clean and newly decorated.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good experience it was one of our top choices.

Mallard Cove is a good community but there could be some improvements. We do know right now that staffing is a big problem with everyone, but some of the staff here could work to improve their attitude and their care services. They could also work to improve on their visiting times and procedures, every time we want to come by we have to schedule an appointment between certain hours and sometimes that just does not work.
