It really was a very nice facility and wonderful welcoming staff on the tour experience.

The staff is top notch, friendly, courteous and always is respectful. Wish that we could enjoy more places like this.

Silver Comet is a wonderful place with lots of good activities. Everyone seems happy and they have a good staff. The staff are very friendly, responsive, and attentive to the family's questions or concerns about our loved ones. Crafts, bingo, exercise, happy hour, theater room, games, outside activities, and more are some of the activities available for the residents to choose from. The residents have the opportunity for breakfast and lunch and there are a choice of entrees and then a selection of soups and sandwiches as well. The apartment has a washer and dryer in the room. Snacks, meals, utilities, the apartment, transportation, weekly housekeeping, and changing of linens are included in the monthly fee.

I highly recommend it. For me, its the location. We are close to my loved one. I like the appearance of it. This place feels like an apartment building. It has a good feel about it.

The only complaint we have had is the air conditioning units in the rooms are very loud. Overall mom is happy, she really likes the other residents and she has made lots of friends. For the most part the food is good, if she does not like what they are serving that day they are able to make her something else. The staff members are all very friendly and the nurse practitioners have all been great. The building is older, but it is well maintained. You cannot beat the price here, we looked at some others and this was definitely the best value for the money. I would definitely recommend them to others who are looking and already have.

My mom has lived here for 11+ years. There have been 4 admins during this time. I can honestly say that the current Administrators is great on several levels. The interior is better kept since she arrived. She courteous, thoughtful, and caring to the residents and staff as well as family members. She arrived a few months before the pandemic and has performed like a pro. She is old enough to have sympathy and empathy with the residents and she has a nursing background.

Overall our family has had a good experience, the people who work there are very friendly, and very accommodating. Our loved one physically is blind so he does need a little more care and they are very attentive to him, they make sure he received his medication on time. His room is kept very clean and the community itself is very clean. Our only minor complaint would be about the food, overall it is pretty good but they do not offer a big variety to choose from so the meals do get old.

This is a wonderful place to live. The nurses and administrator [name removed] serves this home wonderfully. They are so helpful and caring. My only fault I have here is the food. I wish they would serve more often. They serve so much ground beef and I'm tired of it.

Love it people here. Food and actually don’t care of soup and salad at time.

It had been a slow adjustment process for my mother with her move to this community. However I do feel we are starting to make some progress. I'am satisfied with her move to this community, it is a nice place. The staff have been attentive, and responsive to any concern I have had. The meals are good for the most part. There are plenty of activities available for the residents. Everything is working out well, and I would recommend this community.

I have a friend who is a resident and has been for a year. She absolutely love the small home like and friendly atmosphere. The staff and administrator is very warm and caring and seems to go above and beyond to make sure their residents are happy and we'll cared for. [Removed]

I have a fellow church member who has been a resident at the Gardens for 1 year now. I have visited her on several occasion and found this facility to be very comfortable, clean and quite charming. My fellow church member states the food is very tasty. She enjoys the activites and looks forward to spending time talking wit fellow residents. Staff is professional and frienfly

Nice small home like environment. Excellent location and easy to get to local shopping. Very clean and comfortable living environment.

Staff was great. Room size was fine. Mama liked the games and activities. Cleanliness was good. They seemed to be a little short staffed at times. (I'm a Nurse so I get it.) Administration was good. Bridget Crenshaw is wonderful! The worst thing was the food. Chicken noodle soup from a can with toast and 2 crackers is pitiful for supper or lunch for that matter. Mama really liked the Staff. When they needed to laugh, they'd come see her! This made the experience so much better. She hates being away from home. That's understandable. We would use the facility again if necessary. (With one exception to that.) Something needs to be done about the meals! No fresh fruits at all. I kept Mama supplied with Bananas and grapes. They don't even offer fruit except fruit cups. No yogurt either. I bought most fruits for Mama. Luckily she had a refrigerator in her room. She always ate breakfast in her room. A few staff members were beyond measure. [Names Removed] were wonderful. Overall the Staff is very friendly and FUNNY! It's good to laugh! Thank God for laughter! Her meds were given appropriately. We ended up using Athens Pharmacy for her meds. The pharmacy service is Birmingham was very inconvenient especially when it came to her pain meds. Waiting 24hrs for pain meds and Xanax was unacceptable!

Room size very nice with a kitchenette and walk-in closet. Food was above average. Biggest complaint was communication with residents about activities and changes in policies to residents and families.

Had fun games I played and the snacks as well I also liked watching the watermelon eating contest too.

What we like the most about the community is the friendliness of the staff and the overall cleanliness of the community. We would absolutely recommend Limestone Manor to other families.

Needed a better orientation plan for new residents. I would recommend. Parents like it and, while costly, less expensive than some other places that are less nice.

Everyone here is very helpful and the place is bright, clean and cheerful. They need to get a different chef. And as far as activities go, add a couple of new card games.

My dad was at Silver Lakes for respite care for 30 days after a hospital stay. The staff was friendly and accommodating. There were many activities to keep Dad engaged. His room was an adequate size for his stay, clean and we were able to bring some personal items to make him feel "at home". It was a good experience for him and our family.
