Nice staff and director was very helpful. Clean but heavily scented with very strong air fresheners. Rooms small and run down looking. On other hand residents look happy and lots of activities available to them.

Care Management

My mother has been at Waldon for two weeks and we initially had some concerns about the consistency of her care. Once I expressed my concerns to management, they were resolved quickly and a new system was put into place. I am extremely pleased with the quick response I received. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is looking for a friendl, caring place for their loved one!

This facility was run down and weirdly designed. The operation looked sloppy and poorly managed. On the memory care floor, people were stacked up shoulder to shoulder in front of the community TV. Not for us.

Great staff but lack of communication

I picked this facility because the residents here fit our style. The staff here and the level of care they give my Wife is good. They really treat her well and they do the best they can with what they have. The building itself is very well kept and clean. For activities, they take residents on field trips, bingo games, and worship services. The only reason why they are getting a 3 is for their communication. I have asked them a lot of questions and the communication back and forth isn’t as good as what I would have liked it to be. I would recommend this community to other families.

The staff here did a very nice job with our tour here, they took their time showing us around and they answered all our questions. There were a lot of amenities for the residents but my Aunt did feel that she would be a good fit here.

I only visited this community once and it looked like a pretty good place. The person I toured with was friendly. This community was just a little farther away than what we were looking for.

DISAPPOINTED

I was surprise to see that my relative did not receive the care that was agreed upon when they moved into Autumn House. I think some of the problem is because they are short staffed. The alarm pendant that was given at move in was rarely responded to. Some time it was hours before anybody responded. The nurses and aides could not or would not answer simple questions when ask. The Therapy is very good, which I understand is not from in house. If I would have known these things before hand, I may have chosen a difference facility.

The level of excellence that we expected was lacking here, but if you are on a budget, then this place is great value for the money. My dad doesn't really like it here and we rate the overall experience in the 3 star range.

We visited this community while looking into care options for a loved one. This place seemed nice enough overall, although the atmosphere left a little to be desired. The facility itself was well kept and clean, however it didn't seem like an overly friendly place. Not many residents were out and about when we toured, and the staff did not seem overly warm either.

8/15 Rcvd email, they do not allow smoking anywhere on their campus. Called and spoke with Tambry Cundiff. She said they will do an assessment either at home or at the facility to determine the level of care. They have rooms ranging from studio (one room,) to shared apartment with living space, private bedroom, shared bath. Depending on level of care, price ranges from $79/day to $160/day

This was a nice facility. I did wonder however if the busy wallpaper would be too much for Mom. The gal they thought she would share a room with was a sweetheart and I think they would get along just fine. Just not sure how she would be in that situation. My concern here was she would have to be in the "secured" area as they do not have "secured" doors and if no one was at the desk the client could walk right out of the building. I did like the activity director. He seemed to have alot for them to do.

Make sure you ask questions, could definitely use improvement

I was told they took trips and did lots of fun things, here that is only for the assisted living residents and not the memory care residents. They took over what used to be Hillside restaurant and they said they had gourmet food and that is not true either. When the food is delivered it is completely cold. A lot of the promises that are made up front are not carried through with.

My sister has been there for 7 months and the care is very good but the food is not. Meat is overcooked, dry and difficult to chew and the menu is not appropriate for diabetics. One client recently ordered a fried bologna sandwich it it was served black.

Pretty sit but Not good to live there.

The staff is nice if you can get them to do something with a resident. Most of the time, they are sitting around just having a good time with each other and not with the residents. The residents are who alone are left alone and staff ignores them. The food is awful. Chicken is generally undercooked. The hot food is seldom hot and mostly flavorless. The pancakes are usually cold and hard like they were left on the grill to long. Even after the new owners took over. Everything is not only the same, but worse, because then, the old staff, who at least knew the residents no longer worked there. No one knows what anyone else is doing, nor do they know what they should do.
