I want to give The Cambridge a 3. I was not made aware that my loved one had an injury to his elbow. Also, another person's under garments were placed into his luggage. Some how my love one lost their shoes. They only had one pair in the facility and they returned home with someone else shoes. This was for a 14 day respite stay. I'm not sure if a longer stay is the right move for my love one.

Front desk and office are great, very helpful. Not very happy with the dining room staff or the food. Housekeeping was great. For the price, the food could be better than prepackaged food. Bit more expensive for what you actually get.

There are some great people that work in assisted living and the lady in charge of activities [name removed] is amazing

Overall experience is a 3. ( Prices went up, my mom was attacked by another resident, they hold her snacks so she can't have any food in her room). Cleanliness is a 4 for the establishment but for her room is a 3 because they don't sweep her floors very often. Friendliness is a 5. Quality of care is a 2. ( I don't feel they bath my mom enough). Meals/dining is a 4. They provide accommodations to the residents but they don't provide any extras including ketchup or more tea etc. Value for Cost is a 3. I'm not sure how to evaluate a memory care unit but they are very expensive.

The last 6 months my dad lived there, the transportation bus was broken. They were unable to take residents to errands if they had walkers or wheelchair. The pool was green and not maintained. Maintenance staff was wonderful and helpful. The facility was pretty good when my dad moved in, and then they had mgmt change, and it went down hill fast. He was only there a year. Based off of our experience, I would not recommend Village on the Park at Steeplechase.

Their sales/marketing and director are great. Everything looked different when my loved one first went but the follow through hasn't been there lately. A lot of the policies I was told about are not followed. They had a wonderful activities person who worked with my loved one and some of the other less capable people one on one for a portion of the activities time. She was promoted to independent living and memory care hasn't had anyone for several months so the residents spend a lot more time just parked sitting. They should really have cameras in the common areas. I hear and see a lot of things that don't happen when the directors and other admin are passing through. I know this happens in all companies but those don't have people who are dependent on the care givers for their quality of care. They really need to hire more people who enjoy the work they do. They have some who are great. But they have a few bad ones with bad attitudes who I know have been "talked to" multiple times but are still there. I know all facilities are having trouble keeping staff numbers up.

It's the only residence I have ever been, and it's good.

When we 1st moved mom there the service and accommodations were extraordinary good. Covid hit and not sure if that is part of the issues now. Management also changed after mom moved in. Food isn’t as good as it was in the beginning also employee staff has bad attitudes and don’t seem as happy.

It seemslike a very clean community. My loved one doesn't like the food. It's more like cafeteria food, and my love done was expecting a better quality. There is not alot of options on the daily menu. Sometimes they will advertise chicken on the menu but serve beef. The food needs to improve. Other than that, they have a lot of activities, it's a nice place and my loved one is making more friends.

This community was not the right fit for my loved one and seemed to be too big. I felt like my loved one would be lost in this community and I knew it was not the right place for her.

Our family had a tour appointment and when we got there the gentlemen was accepting walk-ins first so we had to wait around 30 minutes for our tour. Once we started the tour the gentlemen was almost giving us reasons not to choose this community.

Food is great, lots of activities, people friendly, good neighborhood, staff is friendly and does everything to make you feel at home. If someone has a health issue comes up they are taken care of in a proper manner. In other words their needs are met, entertainment provided, apartments are cleaned once a week, Bible study, church on Sunday, transportation, and filed trips. Super coo!

It was an older community and set up more like a traditional nursing home. The staff seemed great. However, it was not what we were looking for.

The facility looked very new and quite nice, but it is a two story facility, which would not have worked too well for my loved one. The facility is also a great deal more expensive than what we wanted.

I am pleased with how things are going so far for myself since I had made the move into this community. The staff are all very kind and have been able to accommodate my needs to the best of there ability. I like that we have the option to pick what we want for our meals from the menu but do wish they had fresher vegetables for us to eat. They have a few activities available but could use some improvement in that area as well as work out equipment.

Nice place, but evident that routine maintenance is needed. Also, seems like an older facility that needs a major update.

I have no complaints about this property, the staff was very kind and the building was very well maintained. All of the staff was very welcoming during our tour and gave my loved one and I lots of useful information. The only thing I did not care for was how close to traffic this location was.

I placed two relatives here recently. One in the memory care unit and one in independent living apartments. The apartment in the independent building had new carpet and toilet bowl seat and refrigerator. It has ample closet space. The apartment is cozy. You can tell it is an older buildings g, but the hallways are kept clean, they are just narrow and dark. This building could use an update in decorating. The dining area is clean and bright. They have a common room where the activities are held. But the activities are mostly card games and movie night with old movies. My concern is with the staff. Communication between the leasing agent and family is horrible. She is never at work or returns calls. The staff, especially the chauffeur is not friendly in the main building. I expect more hospitality towards the senior citizens and more of an outgoing personality than I have witnessed. I am never even greeted when I enter the common area by the receptionist. The chauffeur is a miserable old man, who also works the front desk reception area. I find the dining room staff to be friendlier. The memory care unit is new, and I think they are still working the bugs out with the staff. Communication is poor between staff and family. Food in both locations is nothing great and portions are very small. There are many residences in the area similar to this one, this one met our budget.
