We were leaning towards them but when we were looking they didn't have immediate openings so we didn't choose them. We liked that they had transportation to church and the value was good. They had more outings and things and it was more affordable than others and it had assisted living.

Steeplechase was wonderful, and the closest to our house, but the apartments were smaller and the price was higher than Terrace.

I might have toured 50 or so properties, ultimately my mom was drawn to the Village on the Park's concept, more of a traditional home. This was not my first choice, but it was hers. The food is good and the staff is super attentive. There hasn't been enough time to rate their Care Services yet.

I liked, Dad liked.

1200sf cottage with 1 car garage and covered car port. Wrap around porch. No pool. Water classes for residents and fishing pier at nearby park. Three meals a day included and snacks as dining room is open all day. Limo to chaufer residents to shopping and doctor appointments included. Many activities and classes at the campus and many trips and outings for free or low cost to residents off campus. In-house moveie theater. The furthest away from us with the exception of Glennloch Farms.

Was nice, saw a lot of residents out and about. The cottages are not for Mom too far removed and she would have to drive a golf cart to get to meals. They are a single level facility, but that also means a lot of walking to get to meals and activities. Liked the small patio where I could do flowers, bird bath and bird feeder for her. They have their own safety pendant system. They have the "safety button" to check in each day. They do not have set eating times, they serve 3 meals a day, you can eat anytime during the hours of 7 - 6.

Awesome facility, but targets independent seniors. No wheelchairs allowed.

Yes, heated pool? The common rooms look utilitarian, but the emphasis seems to be fun activities. Too extraverted?

Carriage Inn is a very well run establishment from what we could tell during the visit. I was surprised how many residents came up and told us what a great place it was to live.

1. Wonderful people; slightly forced joviality 2. Fabulous cookies! Food fair 3. Living quarters claustrophobic.

The exterior needs some serious painting as well. The food that is served needs to be addressed. I hear a lot of complaints from lots of residences that the food is terrible. I have also eaten there. Not so good for the money that we are being charged.

Our family had an in person tour and at the time it was just a little to expensive.

Our loved one is not to thrilled with the food that they serve, but they have made really good efforts to keep the activities going with all the limitations they have encountered.

My mother in law had a large room with a patio and that was a good value for the money. The food was horrible when we first came here, but the new director turned it around and now the food has improved. One thing we did notice during our time here is that there is a lot of turnover with the staff members and management. I would recommend Carriage Inn at Katy for independent living residents, but anything past that I would not, especially not memory care.

I had recently had a tour of this community for my loved one and I have no complaints of how things went. I was really pleased with the lady that gave us our tour. She was very friendly and made sure to answer questions we had for them in detail. I was very impressed with our overall experience but they just did not have the availability that we would have needed.

I did this once and don't know what happened to it. Village on the Park took the place of a home we lived in the 10 years. Everyone has been very helpful in getting settled at the Village and most have been friendly. I guess people have to get used to me. Ha Ha. Our cottage is clean and comfortable and there was room for some of our furniture. Our pots and pans are another thing, but since we go to two or three meals per day in the dining room we've decided to throw most of them away. [Removed] are getting used to our "new home" and it will take some time but we are comfortable and have most of the conveniences our old place. I liked the units at this community as they did have access to the outdoors from them. I did notice while walking through that some of the lightbulbs were burned out and there were cables visible in the public areas. The person we met with was friendly, however I did get the sense that things were not taken care of.

Have only been here a short time. All seems well for now, but there is an ongoing problem with the in-house landline telephone system in that there is activity on the line when the phone is not in use and busy signals, sounds of a phone being dialed, and no dial tone occur at times when the phone is in use. My telephone service/installer has checked my phone twice, replaced phone jacks, and concurs that the problem is related to the facility's phone system.

What they could improve on would be communication!! That's our biggest complaint. Yes, we would recommend this community to other families.

They’re increasing the price again to almost $[removed] a month without any additional improvements to justify the increase. The rooms in memory care is very small. Not many male residents. Our love one is male and comfortable with male residents.
