Feedback: the price per month is expensive from my perspective. Especially for elderly that are on a fixed income, but need memory care. there needs to be some type of program to supplement the cost. As far...

We haven't had experience with the meals and dining service ourselves because of the covid restrictions. We did get a great first impression just from the tour, they were able to show us everything they had to offer. However, like many other places they are understaffed at times.

This was a video tour. I was just not that impressed, felt more like a business partner than just trying to show me how it is to live there. Felt more like selling point than actually genuine.

I wouldn't recommend it. Just for the care of my loved one got there. The food and care wasn't good. A lot of issues with communication between staff, director and the family. They would set up a schedule and they wouldn't stick to it. I was very disappointed. Also the staff wasn't very attentive or empathized with the residents there. It was really, really hard because the staff didn't had a very thick accent and it was hard for the family and residents to understand them, especially with the residents with Dementia because they didn't understand what they were saying all the time.

It is a wonderful community but they really need to make some improvements. The friendliness of the staff really depends on the shift as well as the care that is being provided. The manager on the memory care side also yells quite often at our family so that could stop. Our loved one does really enjoy the meals and dining service the cook does do a wonderful job. The first couple of months there was no air conditioning on our loved ones room so it would get up to the 90s, and when it was put it the room would drop to the 60s. The nursing staff could also right down all of their procedures that way all of the staff know what to follow.

They really could use more staff . The staff they have great but they need more great ones . The faculty is beautiful but it needs a deep cleaning. We were told how great the food was but that is not so . There has been several times in the past few weeks that the staff has made him a sandwich because he couldn't eat what they served . I hope this helps in some way.

Overall experience was poor. My Dad fell the first night and sent to Hospital. Would not allow sitters even though my Dad was very mobile and prone to falling. Poor communication with the family. Facility was clean and nice. Not sure about the food.

The care is basic. If you want sufficient care, you'll need to take your loved one elsewhere for services. They're also happy to kick someone out for being combative due to a UTI they didn't treat or notice until she went nuts.

It left a horrible impression on us, and we are glad dad will be cared for elsewhere. We were happy with everything for about a year. Then out of nowhere they discharged my dad and left us scrambling for care. And upon review I believe what they were accusing him of was a direct result of them not having adequate policy and procedures.

My husband was only at Brookstone Terrace 2 weeks. He escaped from the emergency door on 2 occasions. The second time he was discharged on the spot. I had to make an appointment to get his things the next day. They called a deputy who transported him to our home, even though he has dementia with aggressive tendencies and had attacked me there. And previously threatened others at our community. One of the worst days of my life. Since then my attorney said I could have initiated a lawsuit, as the law says one is to have 30 days to locate another facility after their loved one is evicted. Thus, in my heart, I cannot recommend Brookstone Terrace to others. Personally, it was a nightmare.

I would tell a freind about what I had issues with but tell them it could have been because they didn't like us. On a positive note [name removed] was extremely helpful and caring. . A Place for Mom is a great organization and I thank you for your help.

They continually lost her belongings and blamed it on being a memory care facility. The staff was not easy to be found. The residents were often by themselves. The supervision definitely needs to be improved. The medications were always given without explanation.

Carriage House was a disappointing tour. The rooms were is disrepair and the closet doors were off the rails. We were surprised the community showed us the room like this. In addition the tour guide was talking down about another community in the area.

That is a terrible place! My mom was not taken care of, they ordered meds she did not need and I now have to battle with them because insurance refused since she had them on hand, and she had hand mark bruises on her arms. We paid an extra $[removed]/month for them to "assist" her with every 2 hour bathroom/depends checks which rarely happened and she was frequently in dirty depends that led to irritation, understandably. They are in the news for abuse, wish I had known that prior to our move. I would NEVER recommend this sit!

Some of the staff (1 or 2 of them) were good, but mostly they were disrespectful and had an attitude! We had private caregivers there to help out, and the Brookstone staff was very defensive. There were a few times my dad was put to bed in his street clothes. He declined pretty quickly once we moved him there, and he passed away in March.

My loved one was here for a very short period of time. They were extremely understaffed. It was not a good experience, and was a really horrible experience. What we were promised, as far as care services, was not delivered. We found my loved one wandering in the facility looking for the restroom, and no one was around to assist her. We also had issues with my loved ones medication, in which it was not received in a timely manner because they were short staffed.

The executive director is the absolute reason we selected this facility. We met with him and he said all of the right things- he was very impressive and developed a lot of trust with us. Within a month we had issues and we never heard from him and he was nowhere to be found. Not only that, he seemed noninterested and he did not seem to care. There were a couple of people who were great and went above and beyond. It was just the management that we had an issue with.
