Our family did a virtual tour and they did a good job, however a lot of things we saw virtually were just hard to get a good feel for. We wish we could of experience the community in person.

Sometimes the communication isn't as good as I would like. Overall it is a better than average community. Every time I've been there in person, the staff are above average. Sometimes it can be difficult to understand some of the caregivers over the phone. Some of the furniture that are in the resident's rooms are dated and worn.

The activities are well planned out and they have a great variety of food. The cleanliness needs to be better but the staff is really friendly. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

We chose this facility because my mother in law needed a hoyer lift and this facility provided that. I would want others to know that the activities were great. They did a lot of encouraging which is what she needed. The food could have used some improvement, but based on the money we were happy with where she was at the time. I gave the cleanliness a lower score because when we went to visit they left soiled clothes in the bathroom or soiled napkins or wipes around the room. There were often no trash bags in the trash cans. Overall, I would recommend the community.

We chose this community because of the location and they only allow 14 in their Alzheimer's unit, so we like the ratio, it is more individualized care and every morning they do their hair and nails. The room sizes here are very large, they have 2 to a room but they are spacious. I have not eaten here but my mom seems to love it. Since COVID, we are able to make appointments and have porch visits Tuesday-Saturday. My favorite part about the community so far has been the care she receives, she seems happy every time we see her. When we could go in before covid, we could interact with the residents and they seemed happy and they all got along.

Offers a farther location with acceptable care in an older, smaller traditional assisted living facility. Provide more tiered care levels.

[Name removed] was helpful and informative in considering needs and resources. If it was just one parent would definitely consider this residence.

My loved one has only been here a short time, but so far things have gone very well! They really put a lot of effort into making her feel welcome. I think they do an excellent job in terms of the care, the facility itself is nice, and they even do a good job with the food!

The facility at Carriage House Senior Living Community is incredibly clean. The staff there is friendly, however I don't feel that they give the residents the level of time and attention that they should. During the short time that my mother in law was there, she had to wait a long time to get her medications, for example. Everything else is fine.

They do a very good job overall at The Haven in The Village. It is a community specifically geared towards memory care, and it is the best that I have seen. The room layout and decoration of the facility make it an easy place for those with memory issues to navigate, and the staff seem very well versed and trained with the sorts of issues their residents are facing. They also have a good variety of activities to keep everyone active and entertained.

Our Grandmother is a new resident at Carriage House, but so far we have been very pleased. Magnolia, the Evening Receptionist, is very caring and concerned about all the well being of the residents (and their families), and has made the transition for us much less stressful!!

The only negative experience we had was that it was it hot. The air conditioner had broken in my loved one’s room and that just left the room very hot. There is enough parking. The staff is very friendly and that was their best feature.

Nice Assisted living and recent renovations to Special care/Alzheimers unit make it nicer. But still a marked difference between the two sides. Mom has lived on both sides and we are happy w/ her placement. They try to meet the residents' needs and are willing to go out of their way to accommodate if possible

Clean and beautiful facility. 1 CNA per 10 patients. Assisted living section was very desirable but alzheimer's care side did not as nice as Mallard Ridge. This would be my second choice.

First and foremost, I think most of the people that work there really care for the residents. (5 stars) Food - Be prepared to supplement your loved one with snacks or from food brought it. It has been our experience that Breakfast and Lunch are generally good. The evening meal leaves much to be desired in variety, visual appeal, and taste. (2.5-3 stars) Accommodations are definitely adequate. You are allowed to bring personal furniture and belongings. (4 stars) Activities - there is a full calendar of events listed. Unless the second floor residents go downstairs to get a monthly calendar or daily newsletter, they will not receive one. Activities are announced but not personally encouraged. For hard of hearing residents this can be an issue. Activities I have witnessed are generally mediocre. (2.5-3 stars) Nursing care can be infuriating when a loved one just needs something for indigestion or a headache. They aren't supposed to have anything in their rooms but you have to have a doctor's order for EVERYTHING over-the-counter, but I still give them a 4 stars.

There were some discrepancies in the communication we received from their marketing team and upon transitioning him, the level of care is not what was advertised. It's a challenging transition for our family and my grandfather has had a number of falls (which were expected) and there has been a recent increase. Some of which took place because he was alone in his room which we shared could not happen but many in the shared common room. Their weekend staffing is low and that concerns our family because when my grandfather has pills to be taken "as needed" they are not always given because of the lower staff changes. We are very thankful for the team there, med techs and aids but there still is a lot to learn about what is available to my grandfather care wise and what is not possible. He suffers from a severe form of Parkinson's Disease and this condition has come with many challenges for our family and the facility. They treat him with great kindness and dignity and we are thankful we can rely on them.

The staff takes good care of my Aunt. The facility is kept clean. The problem is with the food. My Aunt has been served food she's allergic to. Also food she chooses not to eat like pork of any kind. These foods were included in the application but aren't being taken into consideration. Also, the staff is aware that my Aunt has limited vision, but I don't believe the cook is aware of it. I was there when she was served a hoagie. Food like that needs to be cut up.

High turnover with staff. A lot of excuses are made. Take ownership of your job and responsibilities. Lead from the top down and consider new training for management.

When I first put my mom there they had enough staff and they were attentive. That changed as they got more residents. They don't have enough staff to watch the residents. However its like that at most communities.
