Feedback: the price per month is expensive from my perspective. Especially for elderly that are on a fixed income, but need memory care. there needs to be some type of program to supplement the cost. As far...

Clean and beautiful facility. 1 CNA per 10 patients. Assisted living section was very desirable but alzheimer's care side did not as nice as Mallard Ridge. This would be my second choice.

First and foremost, I think most of the people that work there really care for the residents. (5 stars) Food - Be prepared to supplement your loved one with snacks or from food brought it. It has been our experience that Breakfast and Lunch are generally good. The evening meal leaves much to be desired in variety, visual appeal, and taste. (2.5-3 stars) Accommodations are definitely adequate. You are allowed to bring personal furniture and belongings. (4 stars) Activities - there is a full calendar of events listed. Unless the second floor residents go downstairs to get a monthly calendar or daily newsletter, they will not receive one. Activities are announced but not personally encouraged. For hard of hearing residents this can be an issue. Activities I have witnessed are generally mediocre. (2.5-3 stars) Nursing care can be infuriating when a loved one just needs something for indigestion or a headache. They aren't supposed to have anything in their rooms but you have to have a doctor's order for EVERYTHING over-the-counter, but I still give them a 4 stars.

The staff takes good care of my Aunt. The facility is kept clean. The problem is with the food. My Aunt has been served food she's allergic to. Also food she chooses not to eat like pork of any kind. These foods were included in the application but aren't being taken into consideration. Also, the staff is aware that my Aunt has limited vision, but I don't believe the cook is aware of it. I was there when she was served a hoagie. Food like that needs to be cut up.

I would recommend to others. But with so many staff changes, that could change soon.

High turnover with staff. A lot of excuses are made. Take ownership of your job and responsibilities. Lead from the top down and consider new training for management.

When I first put my mom there they had enough staff and they were attentive. That changed as they got more residents. They don't have enough staff to watch the residents. However its like that at most communities.

They are under staffed. The staff does not interact with residents, stand offshore, it's just a job, 60% of the staff are good, 40% do as little as possible. A great deal of turnover. If they come and get my loved one they will participate they do that 50% of the time. They are reactive and proactive I've been told that all assisted living facilities are in the same boat, the staff pay is low for a difficult job, limited labor pool, more emphasis on bottom line less on quality of care.

A great and clean place for mom, however I feel some of the staff workers were not equipped to handle the dementia patients. My mom got agitated really easy and I feel the staff were not trained specifically how to properly redirect the residents. My mom got kicked out because she hurt one of the staff members and I feel like that could have been avoided.

The nurse was really helpful and good at keeping is updated. [name removed] didn't stay there very long until she passed so it's kind of hard to evaluate the facility.

The facility was very clean and updated. I misunderstood that it was an all inclusive environment with residents of varied levels of abilities. At times it was too much for my Mom to handle. The food was one of the things that we were told was special, upscale & great quality and it just wasn't.

My Mom is no longer staying at BST of Woodruff because on [date removed] she fell & broke her hip. They wouldn't have her back there unless she had 20 days of rehab & her insurance would only cover 14 days. When she initially went to live at BST my Mom was Independent with dressing & bathing but when she got COVID in Oct she declined physically & cognitively and they left her level of care the same when she needed a lot more one on one attention. The staff is very sweet, very friendly, but they are sparse & if your person needs increased level of care they say they provide whatever is needed at no additional charge but unless they are unsafe the staff just lets them be, staying in their room with little interaction. I would recommend BST of Woodruff only for high functioning individuals who need basic supervision or medication management for safety

My family and loved one had an average experience. Everyone seemed friendly. We would recommend you ask lots of questions and tour each community well, before committing to a single one.

The facility is well maintained, housekeeping and laundry folks do a good job. The staffing for caregivers is not always sufficient. Activities are spotty at best. Unfortunately, there has been a slight decline in the staffing since we have been there. This affects meals, care, and activities. Definitely better than the previous facility.

Where they fall down completely, is with the issue of integrity and honesty. The mislead people into believing one thing and then they charge them another thing. I think the integrity issue is more important than all of the other issues. I know others have had the same experience - it is not just me making this criticism.

They don't treat the residents well for the money they have to pay. They can treat their residents better and fix food that is good to eat. The communication was ok but they lied a lot by saying they changed my loved one's mattress because it was too high and the meat they served one meal was burnt an not cut up after saying they had a chef when I confronted the community about them saying they had a chef she said they just had quit.

For our overall we give it 3 stars, it was good when our loved one first got there but it is not so good now. Very short staffed like a lot of places. Residents left alone in their area for short periods. Very good meals but minor portions given. My loved one has lost 22 lbs since being there. Have activities but don't try to involve everyone. The community is very clean, good meals but short staffed.

This facility is very new and very clean. They're pretty severely understaffed, but the staff that they do have is quite good. The food is good. Housekeeping is great and everything is very well maintained. Communication with the family is good. The atmosphere is very quiet. Most of the residents aren't mobile and interactive. They had an activities schedule, but activities weren't happening. When I asked about it, I was told that the activities director has been out for awhile and that the person in charge of outside trips has been gone for awhile. This was our only real issue here. My dad is very active and needed a more lively and interactive atmosphere. We ended up moving him to a facility that better fit that need. However, I think it could be a great fit for someone who is looking for a more quiet environment. I have and will continue to recommend this facility to those who are looking for that type of living style/atmosphere.

We chose this facility because it was convenient to my location, clean, and had a nice physical appearance. Also because they had a room available when we needed it. However, we had a bad experience with my uncle, due to him falling in a wheelchair while not being supervised, resulting in his hip broken and they would not accept him back. Was not pleased and had an advocacy to investigate the facility. It is a nice place, clean, but need more staffing. Cannot recommend due to my experience.
