Brookstone Terrace

Overall things have gone very well with The Haven! It's a very nice community that has a lot to provide for its residents. The staff are very warm, both to the residents as well as any family members who visit. They learn the names of all the residents and everyone who comes to visit, and always greet you by name! This started off as only daycare and temporary respite stays, but as time went on they really impressed us and we realized they'd be great as a long term option as well!

I looked at 7 memory care facilities in Greenville for my stepmom before selecting The Haven. I have never regretted my decision. The staff is wonderful and expert in dealing with dementia residents with compassion, kindness and skill. The facility is lovely and always spotless. The food is good and the activities varied. The Haven is a godsend for our family.

All is going well with my Frank. He likes the people and feels very "at home".

I think "you all" do an excellent job with the staff you have. I think you need more staff on the memory care side sensors should be put on the windows so you get an alert when they are opened. I do appreciate the work that you all do.

So far I feel Brookstone has been better than the [community removed]! I think most places can always use improvement. In fairness to Brookstone Terrace of Chanticleer they haven't had it that long so I think they've done well in a short amount of time.

What we like the most about the community are the social activities that are available.

I have been pleased overall.

My brother needs the small caring community Brookstone of Clemmons provides. He is a fall risk and the one level design suits him well. The staff shares information about him often and have his best interest at heart.

They seem to have a good caring staff now, however the turnover rate was high for a while. They honored their word and kept my father safe to the end.

Need to say i'd call to check on my mother half the time no one had any idea what was going on. Couldn't get the PA to call me. I had just had major surgery and was not able to get down to see her. So I was depending on the staff to get me reports. It was like pulling teeth half the time. When Wren Hospice took over they actually gave me good reports. need to say something here to. Never knew for sure who handled the financial aspect. When I called to check on a few things I'd have to repeatedly call to get anybody to call me back! After my mother's passing and they owe me money for overpayment. I had to threaten to get my lawyer to handle it. Was there many times when my mother was going to eat or was eating the food was terrible came out cold. the beds were terrible. The facility was not always kept clean very well and I was there watching as they cleaned my mother's room. The cleaning technique is not very sanitizing.

We are happy with our choice so far. They are taking good care of mom and we check in a lot.

While there's a need for more training, guidance and ongoing development for the first line workers, I appreciated the effort of some workers to consistently reach out to residents and engage them in conversation. They need to understand and always be mindful of how important that is to residents and family members, especially when the engagement is accompanied by smiles and expressions of joy. There should be clear step-by-step written protocols on the preparation of residents for bed, early morning preparation for the day, and regular checks during the day when residents are known to be incontinent.

Ok well for the most part the staff are friendly. Not all of them go out of their way to speak. Trying to get someone on the phone is not always the easiest thing.

The staff is genuinely caring. The residents are very clean and well groomed and safety is clearly a priority. They have their hands full and I couldn't do what they do so I respect their priorities.

Rooms are good size. There aren't any amenities other than a couple of courtyards. They have activities that my mom is pleased with but she has dementia and the activities are pretty simple but thoughtful. The activity director does an outstanding job. The staff are attentive and cooperative with most special requests.

I've only eaten there once. So hard to comment. It takes awhile to get use to how things are done. Today I found out laundry schedule so I could explain to my husband. So we're learning as we go. Workers are all very pleasant!!! All very caring, pleasant, and helpful!

I'd recommend to others. The fact that the memory care patients are not locked away from all the other residents.

We have been for a year now and we love it. They listen to all of our concerns and address them accordingly.

They’re doing a great job with managing my dad’s dementia. They have adjusted his medication to get the best results from what he has to work with. They’ve responded to my requests for specific care.

It is the cleanest one I have visited. Also, honestly, I have never seen the staff just sitting around on their phones like other places I have visited. The staff is extremely kind. As to food... I know I have been a few times they have sandwiches with deli meat from a package along with chips and canned fruit for dinner. Not appetizing to me. And not what I expect my mother to get fed when paying what I do for my mom there. And activities need to be changed up every so often. Activities is not my wheelhouse, but I am sure there is someone who has good ideas
