Would be our favorite overall if the rooms were a little larger. Good tour. Will have to see what my mom can pare down if we decide on this one.

The Director has been very pleasant. Took Mother over. Though she is not excited, she did pick a room!

Very nice. Small community. Convenient location. Friendly staff. Residents seemed happy. All on one level. Homey feel. Nice outdoor area. There was a urine smell in the memory care area. We could see Mom living here

Liked this one very much. 3 levels of care for the progression of memory disease, newer and nicer facility.

I find them to be very caring. They try to do the best for their residents. They have good communication with families. My mom likes the food better at Carriage House is much better than at her previous community. She likes the menu choices, food is better than we thought it would be. My mom is not into activities but they do have activities. My mom loves to read so that is how she spends her time.

Our Mom has been at Carriage House almost 3 months. Mom was VERY hesitant about moving into assisted living. Honestly, she was VERY against the idea, but she didn't want anyone living in her home to care for her either. Before her first week at Carriage House was over, she was really enjoying living there. The staff was very helpful in drawing her out and getting her involved in some of the activities. Mom (and my sister and I) love the staff and they couldn't be more helpful and nice. Mom compliments Carriage House to all when we take her on outings and now is looking forward to living at Carriage House indefinitely. Keep up the great work !

When offering a review for The Haven it would be helpful to specify which of the three communities in which your loved one is/was a resident. Our mother has been in the Charleston unit for several years and we continue to be very satisfied with the care she receives, however, most important for us is that she is happy, content, and complimentary about the care she receives. This was not at all the case in her three previous residences. My wish for each of you who are facing this heart-rending challenge is that you quickly find the special, perfect place for your loved one.

I think they do a great job overall at The Haven! It's a clean, well kept community, and the staff have all been very friendly and helpful! They provide excellent care for their residents, and they seem to have plenty of activities and events going on to keep everyone entertained!

Overall things have gone very well with The Haven! It's a very nice community that has a lot to provide for its residents. The staff are very warm, both to the residents as well as any family members who visit. They learn the names of all the residents and everyone who comes to visit, and always greet you by name! This started off as only daycare and temporary respite stays, but as time went on they really impressed us and we realized they'd be great as a long term option as well!

I looked at 7 memory care facilities in Greenville for my stepmom before selecting The Haven. I have never regretted my decision. The staff is wonderful and expert in dealing with dementia residents with compassion, kindness and skill. The facility is lovely and always spotless. The food is good and the activities varied. The Haven is a godsend for our family.

All is going well with my Frank. He likes the people and feels very "at home".

Staff is really helpful and caring. Common areas are clean. Rooms are large and I would recommend this community to other families.

The few problems we have had have been fairly minor----helping mom keep up with hearing aids, making sure she has her glasses on, making her go to activities, and getting her up in the night so she doesn't wet the bed and herself. She has dementia so all of these are key to her care. They have been gracious to work on these areas and communicate better to all staff. Overall, we are fairly pleased with mom's care.

Getting back to you with answers to questions you have posed to them. Having a better weekend staff. They need to be more concerned about the residents than their own personal business. Appears to be a skeleton staff on the weekend. Residents needs don't change on the weekend.

Mom is doing well there. Some changes in staff, but overall pleased. I would recommend to others.

We have mostly been happy with the community. Outings are great and my father in law is definitely more active than he used to be. Staff has been very good and residents seem happy. Biggest suggestion would be open communication with the staff to ensure all needs are being met.

1. Staff: Since new company, there has been a lot of CNA turnover. 2. Quality of care: On a scale from 1 to 5, with five being best, I would say quality of care is probably a 3 1/2 to 4 on any given day. 3. Food/Dining experience: has improved greatly from Carriage House to Brookstone of Greensboro. There had been high turnover in this area as well, but things seem to be settling down and the quality of the food seems to be much better. 4. Cleanliness: upgrades and renovations to the entire facility have really improved. Cleanliness was never an issue though. The Facility always appears to be clean. It is now well lit and never has a bad odor. 5. Room/apartment size: Large and Sufficient for my loved one. Accommodating to visitors/family. Common areas and conference rooms are very nice and well lit as well. I would also like to acknowledge aid [Name Removed], aid, [Name Removed] , Head Nurse [Name Removed], and business manager, [Name removed]. They are all phenomenal, exemplary individuals whom work at Brookstone Senior Living of Greensboro!

My Mom kept falling, but she was hard to keep in her wheel chair she kept trying to get up. They were always kind to me and kept me informed. It was always clean and it looked like a lot of activities for the patients. I think they did a good job. I appreciate everything everyone did for her.

Feedback: the price per month is expensive from my perspective. Especially for elderly that are on a fixed income, but need memory care. there needs to be some type of program to supplement the cost. As far as the care, activities and other things, I'm happy with it. My mother's apartment is a double occupancy. At this point (5 months) it seems adequate. As far as the meals, I think that is good so far. The staff text me when any medicines change or any possible issues arise. I can text them as well or call.
