Brookdale

I have met many very friendly people here at Brookdale First Colony already. I have been welcomed into all the activities here. Atmosphere is great, food is good. I enjoy the open air community here.

I recently had to enter my Aunt and Uncle in Brookdale and everything has been Very positive. The accommodations are very cozy, the workers are extremely polite and helped me whenever I needed a question answered. Shoutout to [name removed] for his patience with my many questions for him. The food according to my Aunt is very good. This is a very tough time for my family and I have a peace of mind knowing my family is being cared for in the best way . And thanks to the Brookdale workers for all their patience they show. I know it can’t be easy. Thank you

I have lived here one year and a half The food is good. The staff is good. I love the trivia game on Tuesday's. The residents are okay. Brookdale Oak Park is in a central location to Downtown Oak Park, grocery stores, movie theater and restaurants.

After doing a lot of searching for the right place for the new chapter in my life. Brookdale Oak Park has been the answer to all my concerns. The staff has been more than helpful. They have been thoughtful and caring. I have been very pleased with meeting new friends and other residents.

The very friendly staff impressed me on my first visit and they have maintained that attitude throughout my move-in. They quickly provide help and make suggestions. They have made the move much easier. The residents are friendly and eager to acquaint new residents with all services and show us the places we need to know. They have welcomed us with open arms. It’s easy to make friends. The maintenance staff is quick to help when I need it too. They are very talented and experienced. We also have good transportation to doctors, shopping, banks and the all major museums, sights or places of interest in our area. I like the 2 good libraries. Some people love the sewing club, book club or writing club. The lively activity room or the card and game rooms are always full. There’s certainly enough going on to please everyone. Overall, I think Brookdale West University is very well-run which makes a calm and happy place to live. I’m glad I chose to live here!

I like the place over all. The people are very friendly as is the staff. Our apartment is much better than we expected. It’s a good place for our needs right now! So far no complaints. Even the view is GREAT!

My parents were only there one month as they waited for their home to be repaired from a small fire And everything was great and appreciated while there. The only thing that was bothersome was a $[removed] fee upfront on top of everything.

I brought my mom to Brookdale Forest City to live in the assisted-living side. Mom adjusted well everyone was attentive to her needs management has been nothing but good to me in my mother. I couldn't have asked for a better place to place my mom. I know she's being loved by other others than my family.

Very helpful recruiter, [name removed], and [name removed] helped a lot as well. Nice layout, good food and good range of activities.

I have not moved in yet but the staff has been really helpful in working with me while I am getting ready. Everyone is friendly and welcoming and when I stayed for lunch the food was good. I am looking forward to my move in date.

I recently had to locate a place for memory care for my wife. After visiting with the staff of Brookdale Lake Highlands, I knew I didn't have to look any further. The staff was very caring and obviously had my wife's best interests at heart. The residents I saw during my visit all seemed very happy and content. That feeling was confirmed later as I was leaving after my first visit. I walked out with the daughter of a current memory care resident. When I told her I was thinking about placing my wife there, she said "Oh, you will love it. My dad is here and he is very happy". And that has turned out to be my experience. Every aspect of her care has met the highest standards. I was really concerned about the adjustment such a transition would entail, but it has gone very smoothly.

The staff is well trained in the memory care unit to assist with the residents that have dementia. I know it can’t be easy for caregivers dealing with people with dementia and I was simply amazed. The engagement with the residents and activities impressed me. All of the staff throughout the building are so compassionate and helpful. I am happy my loved one is at Brookdale Forest City Memory Care.

I recently visited the community. My loved one is in their Memory Care community. The staff back there are so compassionate with the residents back there. While I was there the Memory Care Director was so engaging with the residents and their activities. I am so impressed with the overall compassion and engagement I witnessed from all of the staff including managers. Brookdale Forest City is the place for your loved one when needed. Clean, no smells, attentive and caring staff.

They were awesome and now my Mom is at Brookdale. Definitely recommend

I am very happy with Brookdale and my cousin has been very well taken care of and is happy there. A major improvement from his previous facility.

I would say to put your family there. The staff is kind and caring and very supportive for both residents and families. Brookdale is clean all the time and smells fresh.

I’m looking for a place for my mother, Brookdale Memorial city make feel like home right at the moment we walk in. A very spacious rooms, lots of activities every week, we got to taste food very good and we love the Dog park Great place, great location.

All the employees were very helpful, informative and happy.

We are so blessed and thankful for Broodale! This has been the best staff and its such a peace knowing you parent is getting the best care and love! They go above and beyond to meet her needs.

Attentive staff that are caring and treat residents with respect. Residents enjoy participating in various activities and programs that keep them engaged and connected. Community allows them to transition to different levels of care. Great place and really love visiting.
