Brookdale came at just the right time for our mom. They provide such great personal care for her and we are relieved know someone is always checking on her! They love on her, encourage her, and genuinely care for her!

My Mom is living life well for the first time since becoming a widow in 2013. She has the support she needs every day. The staff and residents at Brookdale are like extended family. She is surrounded with love from people who cherish her. For me, her only son and former caretaker, I can now put more appropriate energy and attention into my children’s lives and we get to spend time with Grandma making new memories and just enjoying the good things in life. Brookdale is not only helping my mother live a better life, my whole family is living a better life.

I am so happy that I placed my mother at Brookdale Mount Vernon. I felt we had our mom at home too long as her disease was progressing to the point she was becoming difficult to care for. My fears were laid to rest once we were able to make the move. The staff is wonderful and they treat her with patience, kindness and respect. They remember she is someone's mother, sister and grandma. We appreciate the staff at Mount Vernon so very much. It's such a relief to know she is safe and being cared for.

As an elder law attorney for the past 30 years, I have helped countless clients find suitable placement in skilled nursing, memory care, assisted and independent living facilities throughout Volusia County. In my opinion, Brookdale Ormond Beach West offers the best living environment for adults with mild to moderate cognitive impairments. The minute you enter the facility, you will notice the difference. The residents are engaged in meaningful programs and activities in a supportive environment, not just watching tv all day. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty to cater to the needs of the residents. If you want the best memory care facility for yourself or a loved one, look no further. This is the best!

The management and staff went above and beyond our expectations, when we needed to move my Dad for more care. They answered all our questions and made sure that it was the right place for my Dad. They were kind, compassionate and understanding. They listened intently to our concerns. Brookdale is clean and smells great. It has a “homey” feel for its size. I witnessed caregivers gently stroking the hand of an anxious resident and another gently guiding and then re-guiding a resident to the dining room with love and patience, before my Dad even moved in. A positive atmosphere starts at the top with the attitude of the leadership and this is where Brookdale succeeds.

Beautiful facility...very patient with all my many questions...they really take the time to learn everything about my mother to make her feel accepted and comfortable. Very clean and I know she will be well cared for.

We moved my Dad into Brookdale Tanque Verde in the middle of this year. From the very beginning it was clear that the leadership at this facility was caring and empathetic to our situation. Since my dad has been there, I can say that the care and empathy we experienced from the leadership is also demonstrated by all of the staff. We have had zero issues. The food looks good and there are always activities going on to keep the residents busy.

From making the decision to move my mother from independent living to assisted living, the Lake Highland staff has made this stressful decision easier by walking us through the process, answering our questions and welcoming my mother. The staff is amazing and my mother is happy. Thank you!

I love it here - no complaints at all. I like the variety of food that we have and that we can also write in when we want something else. The staff are very accommodating in making sure we get what we want.

We have been so pleased and comforted by the level of care and concern of all of the staff. From our first contact with the business team to our daily interaction with the rest of the team, we have been so happy with the quality of life for our Mom.

I'm still getting adjusted to a new routine, but I am happy here. The staff are very friendly and the community is always clean. I have already formed many new friendships and look forward to talking to them each day.

While it is never easy having a parent, sibling or friend have to leave their home and enter an assisted living facility, for my father it was especially trying. He is a difficult man at the best of times and let's face it entering into a new living situation, however lovely, was going to try everyone's patience. Or so I thought. Not for the great folks at Brookdale Rotona west. They have been wonderful throughout this past year. Always available, always responsive and always professional. Even during hurricane evacuations ( yes, there were 2!), they were on task and amazing. Now here is the truly amazing part. He likes it! He tells me they take great care of him. He has gained weight and looks so much better. I feel this facility and the wonderful staff are amazing and give it a 5 star rating!

I have lived here for 3 years, I cannot imagine living anywhere else. Food is great! Staff is friendly! We stay busy all the time with fun, enjoyable activities. My preference would be to stay home, since that is not an option Brookdale Sandy Springs is my overall pick after touring every community in town.

My sister lived at the Brookdale assisted living facility for a number of months while recovering from an illness. While the facility is always well kept with nice amenities, the most important aspect was the general environment and care she received while there. The facility at Brookdale is not a massive complex, making the environment feel more intimate, more family-like. She got to know her caretakers and helpers as well as other residents. She felt more like she was part of a family instead of being one of many in an assisted living complex. The staff was always very attentive, helping her when she needed help and encouraging her to get her strength back and become more independent along the way She loved convenience of going to the on-site salon to have her hair done, or get a manicure. However, from a caretakers perspective, I was impressed with the attention she received from the medical staff, who were always there to help her. I highly recommend Brookdale.

This place has a culture well-suited to the needs of the residents they serve and their families. Every staff member shows respect and kindness. They truly care, and it is evident in the work that they do. Family members and friends are always welcome and often called by name. My sister is happy to see her caregivers. Despite the challenges she faces, she wants to cooperate with them, as do her neighbors. I could never compete with the skilled, personalized and loving care she receives here.

[name removed] and her staff do an INCREDIBLE job taking care of my mom and all of the residents! Grace in particular gives everything she has to give from her heart! It takes a VERY special person to do that day after!!! Words cannot describe my appreciation.

The managers here are amazing! The residents here are all wonderful people and get along with everyone. It is very much a family environment at this community. They enjoy games, entertainment, and have such a great happy hour which is made special by the Chef's appetizers that she makes for these occasions.

The activities keep residents engaged throughout the day. The residents always look forward to the outings on Fridays that they get to choose beforehand. The dining menu, the residents enjoy because they get to choose from various entrées. The memory care also have great activities to engage the residents and they go on their outings once a month on Fridays.
