Bonaventure

I live at Bonaventure and when we first moved in, it was ok and in the last 2 months, it has gone downhill more than ever. Too many new employees coming and going, it isn't consistent. The directors they hire stay for a short time and then quit. This place is dirty and the food is terrible. My wife and I pay a lot to live here and are now thinking we need to move. They promise you all sorts of things when you are looking at the place and none of them are true. I would not recommend this place.

I'd say if you love your parents and want to see them well cared for, find another place without giving this one another thought. One who'll deal with you honestly, live by the word of its upper management and not do every thing they can possibly think of to squeeze another dollar from you. Worst breed of liar I've ever dealt with hands down.

A nightmare from day 1. They were way understaffed and what staff they had was very inexperienced. Mother's care was so terrible we didn't leave leave her side during the day. We got her out of there as soon as we could

For the ones with a 1 I would really give them a -10 I moved my Mom after 4 months and many many issues. They are way under staffed. The food was awful tasting and when it was served it was cold. Sometimes the residents would wait an hour to get served or in my Moms case they forget several times to go get her and bring her to the dining room to eat. Isn't that what assisted living is all about....giving assistance. Her call button necklace didn't work most of the time and she fell and laid there for a 1/2 hr. Before they found her. She was bleeding and it got on the carpet. They said it would be cleaned but when we moved in march it still had not been cleaned. She fell on January 2nd. They also raised our rent by almost [amount removed] and couldn't tell me why. After I pushed for a month and they wanted to close their books but I wouldn't pay they figured out they didn't check a box.....it was the cost for getting my Mom who is in a wheelchair to the dining room. Again isn't that part of assisted living and the [amount removed] we were already paying! I had to tell them how much they owed us because they didn't tell us first it was raising. They couldn't even figure it out. When I'm asked about a reference I always tell people do not go to Bonaventure. After several discussions with the director and many emails outlining the problems with no resolutions, I found a much better place for my Mom and they actually take care of her and make her a priority.

[name removed] is beyond unprofessional. I came in with my mom and we were in my grandmas room and I could hear her talking about male genitalia size and even called a resident a bitch. Her nails scare me as I wonder how can she even wipe my grandma with those things. [name removed] was talking about a lady named [name removed] and the manager [name removed] and saying she made google reviews in hopes to get her terminated. Just a heads up. I feel staff is so worked up in drama they neglect the residents to an extent.

Overall is a 1 - This is because of management promises that never happened and things in the unit that were never repaired- including main heater that never worked and toilet seat that was broken and dangerous to use. They were friendly but didn't do what they said they would. No orientation, no help with questions, no one-on-one time for a new 101 year old resident who needed help. The food was good but extra hassle to have in room and when mom missed serving time that ended at 5:30 she went hungry that night. No experience with the activities. We spent [fee removed] on furnishings, [fee removed] on membership fee + one month rent and she stayed exactly one week. They sent a refund check of [fee removed]

Beautiful facility. Buyer beware for Memory Care. Spent a month working with this facility. Knowing that they still did not have State approval for occupancy in Memory Care. Did my walk through, placed a deposit, them knowing the level of care my mom was, her Assessment completed at her current facility hoping to not burn bridges, approving the care plan, being asked to bring in her POA 2 hrs before Dallas the Executive Director called me to say she didn’t qualify. That nursing staff and medication administration was an issue. I’ve yet to be told on follow up exactly what happened, they refuse to communicate. A total bullet dodged! Only in the hopes to get her closer to me with where she is very well cared for. Check out reviews and you should be concerned. Staff does not enjoy working for them based on reviews.

I was previously a resident at Bonaventure of Colorado Springs and the overall experience was terrible for me. I ended up moving to a different facility. I was NOT satisfied with Bonaventure and services that were rendered for the price. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this facility to others.

We're having trouble with them, continuing to bill us even after she moved out. There are not enough staff at the facility, and it is not particularly clean. Their book-keeping is slow and incorrect from time to time. I do not recommend North Creek.

My dad, partly due to poor care by Bonaventure, ended up very sick with flu and pneumonia 2 weeks after moving in. He died [date removed]. Avoid this place! But other options can be. as bad or possibly worse. If you place a relative here, you will need to come every day to do care giving tasks and check on your relative. Bonaventure memory care of Medford is not a good place

Bonaventure would be okay for an elderly person who is independent, but not for those who require a higher level of care. They are not qualified to offer that. I would not recommend this facility for anything other than Independent Living.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate them zero. Horrible management and untrained staff. I found Mom on the ground at least 6 times in her few months there. Memory care was staffed by young people without training that were told they'd be mentored and they were not. The floor in my Moms room was so filthy and forever sticky that we went and bought a Swiffer and mopped every time we were there. Someone stole our mop after about a month. The med station was open and nobody was around. Anyone could have happened by a taken anything out of the open cart.

My loved one was previously a resident at North Creek and the experience was not good. I would not recommend this facility to others.

A one is my vote, every mealtime one woman screamed everyday and you were unable to have a conversation! It is not a dementia center I would say so stay away. Many are by themselves in their rooms. I would not recommend them to others.

This is a horrible Place for Mom, Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, criminals, pets. I would not refer people to Badaventure if I were you. The beautiful building exterior, high end amenities are used to trap people into thinking all will be good. These amenities are not offered to residents in the Memory Care area even though they pay more money per month plus [fee removed] non-refundable "community fee." When we arrived, residents were given gas station brown paper towels with their meals, only a fork, no cutting utensil, and don't cut their food. If you're continent when you get there, you'll be incontinent before long. If i was able to, I would have moved her out first 2 days! Only 1 or 2 staff is not enough. Our family member was hospitalized at ER Saturday am [date removed] due to no follow-up to get a urinalysis for over 4 weeks. UTI so bad ER was needed. Bad bruising that was yellowing already was noticed by her sister on [date removed] 3 hand cuts from improper transport. Fall b/c she was left in her room too long so she attempted getting up herself and fell. Still more problems.... Cant get PCP release for badly needed cataract surgery, keep forgetting to get from PCP. Vaccinations still pending since admittance [date removed] . Had/zero communication skills in that unit. Dir & Asst Dir have 0 voice mail= Dont Give a Damn

[name removed] was very nice. [name removed] ended up with cellulitis and went to the hospital. We were so disappointed in the experience but he was a temporary resident and the regulars looked fine.

I was previously a resident at Oswego Place Assisted Living Community and overall my experience here at this facility was terrible. The staff at this facility were good, but they were overworked. The food was awful. The cleanliness and friendliness were good. The care services were terrible. Overall, no I would not recommend Oswego Place Assisted Living Community to others.

We are also disappointed that A Place for Mom told us that all their previous problems had been worked out. They never stopped having problems and went through 7 Exec directors while my mom was there for a year. The place should be closed. Even an executive flew in from WA and told us this is their only facility that has never been run correctly and threw all the past exec directors under the bus. We were given several months rent back and also our community fee but my mother ended up passing away from a fall she took there, which started a chain of events. She fell when she was choking and was trying to get help when no one came. (long story). Do not recommend this place to anyone. It is dangerous and negligent and run on a very tight budget. Things continue on in a broken state for very long periods of time. No activities offered. Looks like a morgue around there.

I fill sorry for Bonaventure Memory Care residents . There is always a shortage of workers . The rooms are never cleaned. Disgusting food . From the promised service , approximately about 10% . People are constantly bumping and falling .If you love your parent or any relatives , you never them live in Bonaventure Salmon creek Memory Care .

Suffice to say my sister and I had major concerns with Park Vista. They had bed bug infestation in memory care and my dad was severely bitten and two separate occasions. We removed my dad from the facility. We reported Park Vista to the state for lack of care, concern ad health of the residence
