Smaller facility, robust activity calendar, menu looked excellent with multiple options, nice furnishings. No memory care unit, high pressure sales techniques.

I took my 91 year old father to see a couple of assisted living facilities in preparation for moving him into one. His preference was for a one bedroom without a balcony. The "apartment" is spacious, less expensive, and more than adequate, although he doesn't understand why he can't bring everything from his 4 bedroom home up there, or why he can't stay in the house he has lived in for 70 years. My sisters and I feel the "open" dining room throughout the day is a great accommodation for his eating routine. As he settles in, we hope he will find some of the activities in which he is willing to participate on a regular basis.

When we first realized that my husband couldn't stay at home we moved him to Bonaventure. They are not set up to be any kind of a care home. It was fine for what they claimed to be. He was in the special section but they didn't do anything medical there at all. I think they were okay but it just wasn't the right place for him to be.

It's fairly new. I'm not sure how old it is but I'm going to say it's less than 10 years old. It was nice but what it came down to was my mom is paying for this herself and we found another community that had the policy that once my mom's been there for 2 years, paying herself, if she runs out of money she can stay there for the rest of her life. Silver Creek didn't offer that and that was really the deciding factor for us.

Nice location, very clean and well maintained. We really liked the variety of spaces to 'hang out' in and socialize; computer lab, exercise pool, workout room, TV lounges, craft room, libraries; you could get out and about all day long!

I would rate them a 5 if the food were hotter. I've talked to them about the food and they say they're going to fix it. It's not cold, but it's not edible hot. It's kind of cafeteria style so there's a lot of gravy and meatloaf, by the time we get the gravy it's started to gel, if the food were hot it would make it enjoyable. There's a lot of complaint about the food not being warm but other than that it's very good. The activities are good, they're just starting a bridge club but I don't know if well have enough people who have enough ability, I know where I'm headed but I'm not there yet. I think they're kicking up the activities a bit more now. They have a lot of activities that most people enjoy, but I'm one of the younger ones here. We just started up a book club and I'm really excited about that. I believe younger people are coming into places like this so they're trying to find more things to do. I chose to get myself in a place where if somethign major happens I can stay in the same community, I would have to move to a different part but my kids wouldn't have to go find a place to "put mom". My only real complaint is the temperature of the food and even with that I would recommend this place to anybody.

We really like it. They seem to be taking really good care of my mom and she seems to be doing really good. I'm not sure about the value. I know what the base price is but then there is stuff added on for the amount of care they have to do so I'm not sure what we'll end up paying. My mom is starting to do some of the activities. Physically, she seems to be getting stronger with the care that they're giving here. It looks really promising.

Likes room sizes especially mid-sized one bedroom. Open dining room service is also an advantage, as is new woodworking shop. Did not get full info regarding any add-on costs.

Cedar Ridge was very convenient for our family. It is a very nice community that is very clean. The apartments have full kitchens but they also offer meal service. It provides a more home like feeling like they are actually living in their own apartment rather then a community. I would like to see name tags for the residents like at other communities. I feel like it would help the staff and the residents with identifying one another. Overall we are very pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone.

Nice place, but location is tough (right on the road). The memory care is very nice. Will definately consider since the price is reasonable. If we do, need to request a unit away from road.

Excellent staff and very clean, next to the Bonaventure next door it is my second choice in assisted living. It does not provide for continued skilled care but could provide acceptable support for the near future.

spacious and safe Lock down area - depressing but apparently necessary. Single rooms for lock down area is the size of a bedroom and easy access to shower. Shared rooms/shared bathroom. On site Physician = requires initial physical. Doc will determine whether mom is eligible for Assisted living or Lock down care. Personally, mom in the lock down will not go well at all. It is a beautiful facility but an extremely depressing area.

Nice but I feel it is more of an assisted living then an independent facility.

First visit. Nice greeting, eager to please and answer any ?'s. Studios are spacious, full size shower, fridge, bath basin & small kitchenette sink too. Three stories Two "sides" , no speakers/ announcements. No nursing section, no in-house therapists. Free shuttle to area Dr appts. Pea soup with the director, small gift bag! :-)

This facility is better than some of the others we toured seemed to be, but I'm still not sure I would recommend them. The food is pretty bland and they use a lot of sugar. The variety of food that we were promised just isn't there. Staff turnover rate is pretty high and the staff is not always reliable. We feel over sold and we're actually moving our loved one out of there. I will say, they were accommodating on short notice, which we appreciate. We needed a place fairly quickly and they helped make that possible. But we do feel oversold, especially on the attentiveness of the staff. My loved one doesn't always know how to advocate for himself, which makes it harder. The facility is pretty clean and they have a welcoming atmosphere. They do excel in that. Communication with the family has been good. I would recommend talking to other residents and staff and not just the tour guide, I feel like that definitely would have been helpful for us.

Management is what's keeping their scores down. The management and staff are separate in my ratings because the staff were hired from management and the staff are great. There's a lot of turnover and it shows. There's a lot of issues with management, like papers and so forth. They seem to be overwhelmed and short staffed. Support staff for management, as in their care team and those that are providing services within the facility like housekeeping and assistance, they are great and would receive a 5/5.

Overall we have had a good experience with Bonaventure Tri-Cities. We really like the atmosphere of the facility. They are short on nursing staff, they just need one more person and it would be great. There is no one on call overnight. Aside from that, the staff that are there works very hard and work well as a team to get things done. My mother in law loves it here and they really like her German Shepherd. She also loves the food as well. I would recommend them to others.

Since this is our first experience, we do not have anything to compare it to. My loved one has now settled in and formed some friendships and it is looking quite improved. The apartment sizes are great. The food is institutional and could use some improvement. We would recommend the facility overall.

I would recommend Silver Creek to others for their loved ones. The Executive Director goes out of her way to make sure everything is taken care of for the residents. She goes above and beyond. There are a lot of activities for the residents. The nursing staff could be improved upon.
